As Tangata Tiriti, we have a role to play in ensuring every day we think, talk, act in ways that decolonise Aotearoa. We might not get this right every time, but we have to act! Here's my submission on the horrendous Principles of the Treaty of Waitangi Bill. Thanks for the inspiration Caitlin and Rhianna

Amazing mahi from team TEU - three days of protests, debate, decisions, manaaki, singing, a few costumes and just an amazing time. The future of tertiary education is safe as long as this team are around!

The 2025 Budget leaves many of the staff and students high and dry. Our communities deserve strong places of learning, our students have a right to a decent publicly funded tertiary education, and our members deserve good working lives. Time to tell National that putting money into tertiary education helps us all. Say it loud!

Ove the last few months, I've enjoyed being with members and helping to create short videos of what's going on for them. Nothing more real than hearing stories straight from the mouths of workers impacted by harmful government policy.

Last year I learnt about a star in the Matariki constellation called Hiwa-i-te-Rangi. She’s the wishing star – oh that idea just brings me such joy. I’ve always loved the idea of wishing on stars. With Matariki just around the corner, I thought I'd share again what I wrote last year on the wishing star... Dr Sandra Grey | Tertiary Education Union – Te Hautū Kahurangi o Aotearoa

Yes the post-it notes have real purpose - they are helping TEU members design their future, design the goals of the union, ensure we have a purpose we can all agree on. I enjoy taking time with members to ensure we are all working together.

History does repeat - from 2012 "In what type of society is education limited to the few who can afford to get there, leaving the rest of us on the scrap heap? Treasury’s vision of a targeted education system where it picks the winners and denies opportunities to all others will do just that." Standard, 3 Feb 2012
