I think my main problem with the "is ERROR Jon" debate, leaving the voice actor aside, is that I think people are conflating two separate mysteries
Currently, I believe that Jon and Martin are inside the computers and communicating with Sam through both emails and statements, to get him to investigate the Institute
However, I also think that ERROR is the result of the experiment that Sam was part of as a child, presumably to find a new Archivist, and so not related to Jon or the computers at all
(Basically, they're two separate problems, which may be linked, but not like that)

has anyone talked about how powerful ERROR is, assuming they're the Archivist, because they seem to be able to compel people with their mere presence, instead of having to directly ask them questions

so the figure is described like this in the transcript, and does anyone have ideas about what this might mean? I guess it could mean the old TMA universe but idk

ok this episode 100% proves that ERROR is the Archivist. Every time they've appeared, the audio is through a tape recorder and someone in the vicinity is compelled to give a statement

omg the Protocol was the reason the Magnus Institute burned down
We know that the Protocol is destructive, as the letter said it would destroy Newton's laboratory, so I think it's a fire
The letter was written in 1684, which is only 18 years after the Great Fire of London (1666), which I think they were referring to when they said they had to use the Protocol on the whole city
edit: just found out that historically Newton鈥檚 lab did actually burn down so that鈥檚 more evidence
edit 2: the letter mentioned an "awful plague" before the Protocol was activated on London, which was probably the Great Plague of London in 1665-1666 (last major bubonic plague epidemic), which the fire actually helped to stop

I did some research into Arbor Philosophorum and found out that it was considered a precursor to the Philosopher's Stone and, as described in the TMAGP episode, had fruit-like forms on it's branches
The episode mentioned Wilhelm Homberg, who invented the quickest method for creating this tree (also called Diana's Tree), using quicksilver and silver
also apparently a lot of Newton's work on alchemy was potentially lost due to a fire started by his dog

is it considered meta to look at the voice actors in TMAGP and make predictions based on that, because I'm seeing way too many people say that ERROR is Jon or Jurgen or something when the voice actor is Beth Eyre and so it's obviously someone different
(I mean it's fine if you just didn't look/realise, but I feel like that should be more common knowledge)

here's my full TMAGP Archivist theory:
so I think that ERROR is the Archivist because it escaped the Institute and somehow followed Sam and Alice back to London (Alice thought someone was following her) and needed to feed on statements, which explains the two talking corpses (especially the one Alice found).
also the tape recorders have shown up twice. once was at the Institute (the first time we hear ERROR) and the second time was with the drowning victim. so I think ERROR was nearby and the tape recorders only appear in its presence to record it or statements taken from others.

ok now I'm convinced that ERROR is the Archivist in this universe and it followed Sam and Alice back to London and is now feeding on dead people by forcing them to give their statements

The guy in this episode was called Darrien, and the crypto-currency finance bro was also called Darrien and we don't know exactly what happened to him, so what if they're the same guy

I haven't seen enough people talk about how Celia woke up ON THE SIDE OF A MOTORWAY in her pyjamas, and acted like it had happened before

so [ERROR] is played by Beth Eyre so I think the three most likely options for who she's playing are:
Lucia Wright - the meat hole lady from MAG 130 (also voiced by her)
A TMA character we never heard speak (e.g., Agnes)
This universe's Archivist (maybe the result of the tests Sam was involved in?)

I know people were talking about Lena being trapped at the OIAR because she's the boss, while others like Teddy can leave, but Alice saying "I was born down here and I'll die down here" and telling Gwen that "he'll end up trapped here like you forever" is making me question that...
