No, I’m not returning to this blog, at least not yet, but I did think of something that I’ll put up here as a headcanon, which is basically “Would bishops from FE8 do extra damage to Grima with their ‘Slayer’ skill?”

And the answer is... it depends.

Like, I’m going to assume that it works on the same sort of principles as Lyon/Fomortiis. While they were in their human form, ‘Lyon’, they did not take extra damage from Bishops, although whether Formortiis was possessing Lyon or just manipulating him did depend on whose route you take, but either way, attacking Lyon with a Bishop, while a good idea, since Lyon wields Dark Magic, did not activate the Slayer skill, so did not do extra damage.

Attacking Formortiis with a Bishop, though, did activate that.

So it would depend on which form of Grima the Bishop was attacking. If they were attacking the dragon, they would do extra damage... for what little good it would do them.

If they were attacking Grima in his human vessel, though, they would not do extra damage.
