One of Marco’s new found quarantine-birthed hobby’s is going into my jewelry drawer and taking out every little last ‘cool’ piece! “ Can you bring out your very cool stuffs mama? “It’s amazing how much you can hear when no one is saying anything.” - Unknown Working on the front and back gardens of @karmaguruacademy was like a breath of fresh air. The objective was create an unintimidating space where you are surrounded by serene ‘reflection’ corners away from the ‘noise’. I completed this project right before Covid hit , so I wasn’t able to take professional photographs to do it justice (these are my snaps). Hopefully by September when the weather is kinder, everything will be back to normal, and the space will come back to life with all of its elements ..Having said that, they are now open for appointments and have moved all their workshops online for the interim. It’s worth checking them out. Utopia.. something we are very far from. Sometimes it’s our duty to sit back and reflect on our actions. See, we are part of a collective consciousness, a whole, where every action creates a vibration that affects the ‘whole’.. only way this earth will be saved is if we strive for the better and always work on elevating our own vibration.. attaining higher frequencies and moving away from the lowest vibrations of selfishness, politics recklessness, greed and evil.. we are all made of energy at the end of the day and the more synergy we achieve , the stronger we are as a ‘whole’. My new series of paintings highlights pockets of our fragmented society blinded & gripped by all the wrong energies. This cycle , unless consciously broken, will churn and burn into scattered black holes that over time burn into one large abyss which will be hard to reverse. Take ownership of your actions. Once upon a time I used to wake up and die to make jewellery ...I used to lock myself up in my atelier for hours on end creating one-off statement necklaces and rings and a spectrum of quirky everyday pieces . It’s funny how one person’s likes shift and metamorph and all of a sudden, today I can’t wait to wake up to pick up my paintbrush and give birth to deep forms of expression. I am not a big talker when it comes to my inner feelings.. so I do believe that everytime they weasel their way into my art, in whatever form I am experimenting with at the time.
