reblog if you:
- flinch away when someone touches you.
- panic when you accidentally break an object.
- get scared when someone walks behind you.
- feel your heart rate increase at every sudden noise.
- are easily panicked by slightly-louder-than-normal sounds.
- stare apprehensively at your bedroom doorway for hours at night.
- have trouble making eye contact with people.
- always feel either too mature or too immature for your age.
- simultaneously crave and be terrified of physical contact.
because i do all of these

Advice for New Caregivers
Hello everyone! This has been requested, and as a little, I will do my best to make tips for new caregivers! Enjoy!
✨Make rules! This is obvious, but it’s so important. Much like actual children, littles need the structure rules provide. Without them… it’s like building a house made of cards and expecting it to be sturdy.
✨Respect their boundaries! Again, may seem obvious - but - also very important. Clear boundaries must be set, and long before they’re your caregiver. Examples: I can’t talk on Tuesdays due to my work schedule, no yelling, don’t call me ___, etc.
✨Know that communication is key! I cannot say this enough. Do not be afraid to be honest with each other, it saves so much trouble. And if you think you can’t tell the other person the truth because they’ll ditch you, do not be with them.
✨Don’t rush it. I know, I know. You want a little, they want a caregiver. But you should at least wait until you trust each other, which takes time. Seriously, it’s worth waiting to know them before diving into a relationship, even if it’s platonic.
✨Don’t be afraid to punish your little! Much like rules, punishments are necessary for guidance and structure, it also makes littles feel more little. Punishing them also shows them that you love them so much you’re willing to do so. Do not skimp on punishing them. On the same note, make sure punishments are not abusive and are consented; punishments need to be agreed on for the sake of you and your little. Discuss punishments with them outside of little space so they understand and can agree or disagree with them. Note: IGNORNING THEM IS NOT A PUNISHMENT. IT’S ABUSE.
✨Recognize signs of an underlying problem. Uncharacteristicly bratty? Super whiny? Regressing much more than often? Unable to regress? All may be signs they’re going through something. Never hurts to ask.
✨Ask them about their health history. Not right off the bat, obviously. However, if you’re going to be their caregiver, you should know whether or not they have epilepsy or depression or asthma. It helps tremendously when taking care of them - you’ll be better suited to. At the same time, it is their decision whether or not to tell you.
✨Even though you’re the caregiver, don’t be afraid to ask your little for support. You don’t have to be tough nor hide your feelings. Tell us! Please! We’ll do our best to cheer you up - whether through cuddles or drawing a picture.

Little One...
♡It’s okay to dislike getting messy. ♡It’s okay to be quiet. ♡It’s okay to be loud. ♡It’s okay to only color inside the lines. ♡It’s okay to not even have lines to color in. ♡It’s okay to ask for help or attention. ♡It’s okay, not everything is you fault. ♡It’s okay you don’t have a caregiver. ♡It’s okay you’re a switch. ♡It’s okay to not have little gear. ♡It’s okay to dislike “the norm.” ♡It’s okay to be big or small. ♡IT’S OKAY. IT WILL BE OKAY. ♡YOUR SAFE SPACE IS YOURS.

how to deal with a little on their period 🍓
Tumblr media
🍼 run baths for them and add lots of bath bombs.
🍼 don’t get mad at them for making a mess on their clothes/furniture. just clean it up and make sure they’re comfortable.
🍼 give them lots of cute snacks like pineapples and bananas.
🍼 give them lots of cuddles and belly rubs.
🍼 pick out comfortable clothes for them.
🍼 make their favourite drink for them.
🍼 try to get them in little space as much as you can so they don’t think about it.
🍼 make sure they feel wanted and loved, as their mood could change at any moment.
🍼 don’t get mad when their mood does change and they argue with you.
🍼 get their favourite stuffie to cuddle.
🍼 put on a movie and make sure they’re comfortable.
🍼 don’t plan any outdoor activities that are for the whole day. if you are though, make sure you’re fully prepared with the essentials just in case.
🍼 do not say anything that can annoy or upset them. (e.g. “periods aren’t that bad,” or “stop making a fuss over nothing.”)
🍼 don’t make them feel stupid for getting angry/sad at the smallest thing.
🍼 let them have their lazy days.
🍼 know that they are going through a difficult time that happens every month.
🍼 make them into a blanket burrito.
🍼 get them the things they need when they ask for them (e.g. tampons, painkillers, ice cream).
🍼 ice cream.
Tumblr media
periods can be so hard. they’re painful and horrible. they make you cry over the smallest of things but they’re a part of life and everyone has to go through them, whether you’re the one experiencing it or the one witnessing it happen to someone else. just keep in mind that it’s a horrible week and your little will need to be treated with the upmost care. though, most of these steps should apply to pretty much everyone who has to go through it, not just for littles.

THINGS LITTLES CAN DO TO DEAL WITH STRESS
🌸 Breathing exercises!
🌸 Communicate with someone like your caregiver; talk about why you’re stressed! Don’t bottle up your feelings.
🌸 Maybe practice yoga or do some exercise.
🌸 Listen to music that makes you feel little, relaxed, &/or happy!
🌸 Go on a walk.
🌸 Pet animals! Go to a pet store that lets you interact with the animals, play with a pet of your own, go to a dog park, etc. (If this isn’t an option, you can just look at videos of cute animals, or something!)
🌸 Put on comfy clothes, or something that you feel super cute and little in!
🌸 Take a nice, warm bubble bath. Maybe light some candles, or use a wax warmer!
🌸 If you’re stressed about something school related, maybe study or prepare, or try to get some of the work done if you’re behind with stuff.
🌸 Laugh! Watch funny videos on YouTube, perhaps.
🌸 Play a game with your caregiver, or ask for a cute little task to complete for them! (Coloring a picture, baking something, etc.)
🌸 Get out the things that make you feel little, like your favorite sippy filled with your favorite drink, a favorite snack, fluffy socks or cute thigh-highs, a onesie or pajamas, and whatever else.
🌸 Turn on one of your favorite cartoons or movies!
🌸 Snuggle up with lots of warm blankets and maybe browse your tumblr feed or look at things that calm you down/make you feel little.
🌸 Read a book, or have your caregiver read to you!
🌸 Just cuddling or being around your caregiver can make you feel lots better.
🌸 Plan ahead for things that you’re worried about!
🌸 Make a list of goals or chores to get done for the week so you don’t feel overwhelmed.
🌸 Make sure you’re going to bed on time, and are on a good, healthy sleeping schedule!
🌸 Do certain things in moderation, like TV, games, etc. Make sure you’re not doing one thing the whole day!
🌸 Get our your coloring book or scrap paper and whatever tools you use (crayons, colored pencils, etc) and draw or color!
🌸 Play dress-up!
🌸 Have tea-time with your caregiver and/or stuffies!
🌸 Clean up your room really nice! I find that being in a clean, fresh-feeling environment makes me feel much calmer.
🌸 Do something cute with your hair, or maybe something you haven’t tried before!
🌸 Organize your stuffies, or other things.
🌸 Take a nap! A lot of the time, you might just be cranky or stressed because you’re tired! Cuddle up with your caregiver or some stuffies and get your paci, if you use one!
Feel free to re-blog with things that you do to help you cope with stress!

Agere Bath Tip
if you want to take toys with you while you take a bath, but you live with people that might judge you or are against that, i have some tips!!
you can take tiny plastic toys with you!! hide them in the new clothes you take with you, that way no one will know that you have anything else but clothes with you!!
of course, you can’t take plushies, i’m sorry… but you can’t dry them fast enough and the last thing we want is to cry after a good bath time! so because of that, plastic toys or ones that dry fast are best for this mission!!
if these people don’t respect your bathtime or privacy in general, first of all i’m really sorry… buy you need to take just few tiny toys, since if you need to hide them, you need it to be fast and not too obvious! big toys will make it harder if you have this issue!
(i’m only bringing this up because i am in this situation and it might help someone else…)
PS. you can take temporary shorts with pockets where you can hide your toys!! you just cover them with a shirt too and it shouldn’t be too obvious!! This is a useful tip if you are forced to leave the dirty clothes in a bathroom basket or something!
