I really enjoyed this one. There are many romance stories throughout the drama which were non-toxic and supportive. The actors did a great job protraying their roles and were very moving throughout. It didn’t have any stupid love triangle that came between the main CP nor did any of them use the rival to push their partner away. Instead the conflict between them was the case of their idenities and their struggles to protect the ones they love. The female lead struggled with the death of her family, was strong, and grew in her journey of revenge. The male lead followed and fought what he believed in. Even the 2nd CP’s triangle wasn’t bad, they were very supportive of one another which is nice to see in a historical drama (as the shadow of death looms everywhere).
Normally, I would want to look away from petty and unnecessary conflicts between the couples, but this one, the romance was a support in hard times. The action was good and in someways a bit lacking as the director (?) decided to add animation to it in some scenes which I’m not sure was a creative choice or lack of budget. The OST was great as always and I just love the plot and it’s characters.
From the comments, I’ve read the characters are based on historical figures. So that was some interesting information as well. I’m not sure if it’s because of this factor that made this drama stand out, but it would be something I would come back and watch again. I really recommend it.

Ghost Emperor Wild Wife: Dandy Eldest Miss
So I’ve been getting into Chinese novels recently and it’s wow...lol. The narration is quite different and some of them are very~ long, but I’m now addicted. This one called Ghost Emperor Wild Wife: Dandy Eldest Miss is now one of my favorites. It’s set in a historical fantasy world with its main female lead, Yun Luofeng, who was reincarnated after she was killed in a lab explosion. After gaining the previous soul’s memories and still remembering her own, she set out to protect the people who stay by her side. There are so many struggles and obstacles, but she fights through them. She’s very entertaining and “shameless”. (Have to read it to get this joke. XD) I just love her.
As for the male lead, Yun Xiao, he’s quiet but someone strong and loyal. Basically, a symbol of someone you want to keep by your side. He meets Luofeng early on and is just so precious.
You can read it on reading apps, but I’m not sure which is the best one. I just know for anyone looking for something to read, I recommend giving this one a try. It’s full of magical beasts, spirits, and many arrogant characters that get knocked down a peg.
It’s long but a great read.

So I was rewatching Gakuen Alice and went online and tried to buy the rest of the manga before realizing the translation wasn’t finished because the company working on it had shut down.
Sigh~
Like that is the worst thing that can happen. An unfinished project. I emailed Viz and asked if they could pick it up, but we’ll see. I also hope this series can be reanimated as well since it finished despite it’s unsatisfying ending. (Sorry, I had to say it.) It’s hilarious and the characters are the best, especially Hotaru and Natsume. XD
I’m actually going to go back and read or watch animes that weren’t finished, hoping in my heart that they will be rebooted as well like Fruits Basket. They don’t have to do it all at the same time, but it’s a shame they only give us one season (most of them) when it comes to shoujo.
I mean, I would like to see The Wallflower, Special A, and Kaichou wa Maid sama rebooted. And to be fair, it doesn’t even have to be an anime that was already animated, but a manga series that fans want to see. I liked this one called Sensual Phrase as well, but suprisingly the anime was totally different from the manga. The manga being more mature and mainly focused on the couple’s romance. I’m not sure if I spoke of it before but I prefered the anime, lol. A mixture of the band and the couple.
Well, getting back on topic... although, I’m not sure how many people recieved Gakuen Alice, I liked the relationships between the characters and hope it might be one of the anime series that are rebooted. After all, it would suck if they just reboot Fruits Basket. The shoujo fans need more finished series. It’s heartbreaking, lol.

So a lot of things are going to happen in finale. ;) I can’t wait for next month. I feel excited and again hope anime companies go back and reboot the other shoujo anime they didn’t finish.

I would say we have two more months to go, but it’s really one month and two weeks, lol. But for those who are lucky it seems you can see a preview on March 13. As for the rest of us, we will have to wait until April. Based on the last two years it might be released on April 8th? Jk, although, it seems they’re using a certain pattern. First season released trailers, etc. in December and started on April 6. Season two released trailers in January and started airing on April 7. This year the digest was released in February. Therefore, I wouldn’t be surprised if it aired on that date, but then again thinking about it, will they show it in the middle of the week? Who knows. Either way, one month to go!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything, but now I’m back with another visual of Fruits Basket, the final season.
In just a few months, we will be able to watch the new episodes and get to see the story come to a close. I have mixed feelings about it, but at least the full animation has finally been adapted. I hope the anime world will reboot more shows that haven’t reached completion. It’s a shame that most of them (shojos) have never reached the end of their story. I hope following Fruits Basket, there will be more projects that will do the same thing. One of those I hope will be Skip Beat, but since the manga hasn’t been finished yet, there are other shows like Ouran Host Club, Wallflower, or Maid Sama, that have ended and deserves to have their anime rebooted as well.
Seeing the effort the team of Fruits Basket put in, I am grateful. I never would have guessed after all these years, the full story would be animated. Now that we got to the final season, I am so impatient to see the show. I can’t wait until April. It’s like I have to wait for a decade to see it, lol. But it is worth the wait.

I enjoyed reading this series. It’s a bit abrupt in the beginning, but I got hooked on it with all the political problems and how powerful the female lead is. Like My Next Life as a Villainess, she is reborn in her otome game except this time instead of living it out, she already reawakens at the “doom” ending. (Poor Iris!) However, once you get further into the story, there is a certain twist that will make you want to keep reading.

I recommend reading AND watching Akagami no Shirayuki-hime. (Snow White with the Red Hair) Not only is the art pretty and the designs are excellent, I love the interactions with Shirayuki, Zen, Mitsuhide, Kiki, and Obi. With the anime the OST is on point. Although the beginning is like Snow White with a twist, this is its own story. Follow Shirayuki’s joruney throughout Clarines.

I can’t believe it took me a while to watch this. While You Were Sleeping is now one of my favorite dramas. It may seem like I say that a lot, but it was so good that I even noticed how it was filmed. I applaud the director AND I definitely applaud the writer.
This drama induces many different emotions: laughter, sadness, embarrassment, and pride. They did a great job putting this together. I can’t wait to see what other dramas the cast has and will work on.

Angel’s Last Mission: Love starring Shin Hye Sun, Kim Myung Soo (L), and Lee Dong Gun.
Besides the actors, the storyline about an angel attempting to help a damaged ballerina peaked my interest. I don’t regret watching this, I wish there was more. It is funny tear-jerking drama and it has no sad ending for those who are apprehensive as the story goes on, if you decide to watch, after all. I love the characters, I have no complaints about them. Even as an angel, Dan is special. Yun Seo is a cool woman in more ways than one but has a good heart. Kang Woo first appeared to be annoying but turns out to be understandable.
These combination of characters compliment each other. The drama is great as well as the beautiful OST. I have not stopped listening to the soundtrack on a daily basis as of yet. It’s made up of comedy, romance, and fantasy. If those genres are right up your alley then I guarantee this is one of the South Korean dramas you’ll come back to. So I really recommend watching this.

Here is a new anime that I recommend watching. My Next Life as a Villianess: All Routes Lead to Doom! (Otome Gēmu no Hametsu Furagu Shika Nai Akuyaku Reijō ni Tensei Shiteshimatta) is a comedic romantic story about a girl being reborn in the world of her otome game. I found this on myanimelist and thought it was interesting, after all, I love anime and otome games, so I gave it a go- reading it beforehand- and absolutely loved it.

There will be some incomplete chapters being published in the new HanaYume issue due to assistants not being able to make it to work (due to COVID-19). Most notably, Skip Beat and SoreSeka have been affected. Nakamura has apologized for this chapter seeming more empty and white than usual. Soreseka is missing many details, including character faces.
If you keep up with these series in real time, please be understanding. They will be completed upon the release of the tanks.

I’m supposed to be asleep but I happened to see this. Now I’m fully awake. The days are getting closer and closer until it’s finally released. Fruba fans, here is the second trailer of Fruits Basket Season 2!

We already saw them in the last episode of season 1, but they are now officially on the fruba website. I think I mentioned it before however, I’ll say it again. Takuya Eguchi will be playing as the new student vice president, Kakeru, and Ai Kakuma will be playing as the student treasurer, Machi.
Season 2 is coming soon and we’ll get to see many new faces. (Though not as much as the first season, lol.) Five more characters to go. The two other student council members, Tohru’s dad, the rooster, and a certain horrible woman. The last two may not end up in season 2, at least not fully, but I can’t wait to see the student council antics. Especially how Yuki will react to them.
