Gods, but his head hurts.

Saitama puts the notebook back on Genos' side of the table, and gives into despair, throwing himself onto the floor.

Okay, more like very gently lowering himself to the floor. But still – despair, anguish, drama, etc. He's confused, his head hurts more than ever, and he's tired, therefore he's giving up and ready to die.

A few minutes pass like this. It's almost comfortable, and a little more so when he lays his wrist over his eyes to block out the light.

He hears the bathroom door open, and then footsteps coming to the living room, but he can't be bothered to get up. Genos should know, after all, that Saitama is dying and soon he'll be dead. He can keep all of his earthly possessions, and just chuck his body into the trash.

To his disappointment, Genos doesn't ask him if he's currently dramatically dying on the floor, or what his final wishes are.

"Saitama-sensei is so tired," Genos murmurs instead, with some humor of his own. "I'll set out our futons."

Genos walks past him, and Saitama groans miserably, pushing his palm against his forehead instead. It helps, a little, somewhat easing the feeling like his head is going to pop.

"Genos," Saitama complains, a bit quietly, testing out the name. It works well as a whine.

"Yes?" is the immediate response.

So, at least he knows his name now.

He tips his head back, looking towards Genos' voice, somewhere behind him. When he actually catches sight of him, Saitama almost chokes on his own breath.

Genos is standing in front of the closet, completely naked except for a towel which is, inconveniently, not currently covering him up but instead being used to rub the moisture out of his hair.

The nickname was right. He really is a cyborg.

Not just his arms and eyes, but every bit of him that Saitama can see, which is currently way too much. All of it's been replaced, beyond any usual level of prosthetics. And all of him is finely crafted; sleek stretches of silver alloy mixed with black, aligned into a semblance of human anatomy that is, to be honest, very striking.

Saitama finds himself staring too long, first at Genos' back, with its broad shoulders and the eerily bone-like spine, and then up to his neck, the fine profile of his nose and jaw, the damp, tousled blonde hair. And then Genos looks back at him, so Saitama averts his eyes down– down to his thighs, lined on the inside with alluring black strips that lead up to–

Nope!

Saitama just as quickly slides his eyes away – far away – and keeps his hand on his forehead.

Now his heart is racing, adding to the cacophony in his head.

"Sensei?" Genos asks.

There's that honorific again. Genos has called him that more than once, including when they first met, and he doesn't know why. He isn't a teacher. He isn't even particularly skilled at anything. He certainly isn't in any kind of esteemed field of work. Couldn't be. He walked away from that a long time ago.

"My head hurts," Saitama says, lamely.
