Happy May Day! Today we're visiting the Yu household [here is this family's tag]. The round felt very short because Sangen Yu got the Uncontrollable Urges ROS and he couldn't be controlled for 2 days.

As his needs and aspiration meter were maxed out when the scenario started, he was fine. But it was still a bit scary, because the ghost of his mother was haunting. Luckily, she only scared him once.

Unfortunately, the Social Bunny appeared because Sangen couldn't stand being alone. This must have been a nightmare for an outgoing Popularity sim.

Sangen happened to come across Hanako Tian and her older brother Tasuku at the community bathhouse. Both siblings became Sangen's best friends and a date was arranged for the young couple-to-be.

The Unsavory Charlatan kept trying to steal from Hanako during the date, but her Logic is too high for that cheap trick to work on her. Also she's broke so I don't know what he was hoping to swipe.

Sangen and Hanako didn't have a long courtship, but they had been friends for a while, so it made sense for me to just get them married. In addition to the need for companionship, Sangen really needs help at his fishmonger's store. The newlyweds are exactly the same age so they have ample time to think about starting a family.

Their family funds were at ~0 when they opened their business, and they earned ~1180$. The high earnings were thanks to old crates of fish Sangen had prepared, as these sell for a lot more than just single fish.

They paid 1100$, so they have no money again. But I'm sure it'll only be easier from here on!

Welcome to... another side household post. Today we are visiting the Tians, but I might end up playing all the Asian families this round. If you don't remember the Tians, here is their tag, and here is a short introductory video about them. I haven't played them for literally a year because they are not related to any of my main families, but it is likely going to change.

The ROS for this family was for Fumi to die, which was heartbreaking. She randomly got the flu, probably from interacting with other sims around the world, so I'll say her immunity system failed her. She had three children and lots of animals, which took a toll on her health.

Fumi Tian threw 3 awesome parties for her children [or for the occasion of herself giving birth]. She taught her sons the toddler skills. Sadly, her daughter was never taught to walk due to the lack of time, which means Hanako Tian got an extra negative trait, Clumsy.

I played this family for 2 seasons because it's high time Tasuku became an adult.

Tasuku wasn't doing very well this round, mood-wise, which is not surprising, as he needed to become the head of the household after his mother's untimely passing. He had a nightmare about his younger sister for some reason. Perhaps he's worried about her future. They don't exactly have money to pay for her dowry... Maybe they would, if they sold their sheep.

However, Tasuku fulfilled his wish of befriending 10 people throughout his lifespan! It was a bit easier for him because he really should be older at this point, but I was treating this family more like townies for a while, and Popularity sims are very happy townies.

I will probably play Sangen Yu next. He might marry Hanako Tian. I think Hanako would appreciate having her own household with a business attached, especially that she became a Fortune sim. She seems to be quite attracted to Sangen.

The youngest sibling, Fujitaka, also aged up into a teen. It is a bit odd all the siblings are teens at the same time. I will make Tasuku, the eldest, just a bit older so that he will be an adult.

Fujitaka is a Romance sim, so we will have to see how [un]faithful he will be. He didn't have the happiest childhood, as his mother had just passed away and he was in the red aspiration. He made friends with Bazi Lao, whom he might romance... among other girls.

Tasuku got the Gold Sales Badge, and the Bronze Register Badge. The business ranked up to rank 4. It didn't go very well, but they earned 281$ and 352$ just by selling milk and hay.

Because I played this household for 2 seasons, I allowed them to open the business one more time, in the summer. It was way easier to run the store when the siblings could help Tasuku.

They earned 633$.

750$ was all they could afford, so they didn't pay the tithe, or the burial fee for poor Fumi... Maybe once Tasuku gets married, he will get some dowry from his wife... If not, they will have to sell some animals to afford their taxes.

One of the sheep gave birth to a lamb this round, but another one was lost in a random scenario, so overall their herd gained no new animals. Also, all of their ewes became pregnant in the summer, which is exciting, but they will only give birth 'next year' in spring.

Happy Easter, everyone, if you celebrate (or if you don't, I hope you have a nice weekend)! Sorry, I haven't been here for a while. I need to visit the Bruni/Lao household in my Sim Asia. They got a potentially deadly ROS, but all of them avoided rolling the fatal number 1, so they are fine.

However, instead of playing them, I got a bit distracted with an idea I had before and I moved in a new sim, Bu Pin. Guiren will become his concubine. She will never be promoted to his wife, but I don't think she minds it as a Romance sim. For now I haven't created more of his women, so Guiren has his undivided attention.

Treat this post as Lao/Bruni part 1, but this will be a whole new household, Pin. I'm not sure yet how important this household will become, if at all.

The personality, traits, and aspiration were all randomized for the newcomer to the Asian part of my world. He's a Family sim, but, looking at his traits and career path, he might benefit from Fortune secondary. He aspires to having multiple children with different women.

He is interested in Sports. He's an Athletic Equestrian, a Slob and a Mooch... Because of this last trait, I don't think he would have more than 3 concubines, even if he could afford that.

Bu wanted to get a job and the only available profession which made sense was in the Business (Merchant) career track.

Bu will be WooHooing with one of his women every day (either a concubine, or a wife, though I think his wife should have priority... unless one of the other women turns out to be extra fertile). I will flip a coin to determine if they get pregnant.

When Bu has multiple women, they will fight for his attention... or he will tell me whom he would like to go on dates with the most. Concubines will have their separate rooms and they will only share the bed with Bu when invited.

Guiren and Bu got pregnant on the 3rd day. The baby will be fine. And I really want Guiren to survive the birth, as I don't think playing this lot will be very interesting otherwise. I might make the mother mortality a bit lower for this household. Another option is to have Guiren's younger sister replace her when she's of age, should anything bad happen to Guiren.

Guiren maxed out her teen WooHoo Worker career. She probably won't go to work ever again, with the baby on the way. She will give birth the next time I visit them but before that I would like to play the main Lao family (that will be the next post).

I don't think I will care about the finances of this household. They won't have infinite money, but I will provide them with fun objects like an instrument, a chess table, and a tea set. The ladies will need some entertainment.

Today I'm finishing round 11. All the men who were drafted will come back in ~2 rounds' time. I didn't have much time to spend with the Imago family this season, since I had played them a bit longer the previous round.

The ROS for the Imago household wasn't significant, but it will take effect next round. The newly aged up Tullus will be exhausted because of helping around the neighbourhood.

Sampsa and Baset's youngest son, Tullus, was rolled to become a Popularity sim. Sampsa is not very happy none of his sons will be interested in magic... He might raise some deceased Knowledge sim as a zombie just to get some acceptable companionship.

Sampsa met a depressed Knowledge sim, Polla, at the temple. She was going through a mental breakdown after her relative had died. While Lalli wasn't very attracted to her, his father encouraged him to pursue this match, as he quickly made friends with another Knowledge sim.

Polla easily fell for Lalli and wanted to get engaged. He never reciprocated her feelings before going off to war (he got a crush, but never fell in love)...

Unfortunately, the young couple's first baby was not meant to be... In fact they were meant to experience lots of misfortunes. Because of the issues with their pregnancies, I won't allow Lalli and Polla to have any more children, but their baby will be born next round. Who knows if Lalli will ever meet his only child...

Baset is over the moon her son tied the knot and she's happily awaiting the arrival of her next grandchild, maybe even hoping for a granddaughter before she passes away...

The Imagos didn't earn much at all besides Sampsa's small retirement payments and they might run out of money quickly now that nobody in this household is working. They only paid the regular 3000$ rent. Polla didn't come with any dowry, but because she's a newly made sim I might just give them a kaching if needed.

Sampsa went on a little magical vacation. It took him around two days to max out magic with the help of the head witch residing in the Fortress of Eternal Darkness.

Although he doesn't want to turn anyone into a zombie right now, he might still do it, just for fun. Or maybe he will suggest enlisting zombies to join the military efforts...

The Random Occurrence Scenario gods agreed with me I should have added more sims to my world! But I rolled again because I did that before I even rolled the dice, so the actual scenario for the Orange/Wolfen household was for a child to run away...

It might not be making the most sense, but Primula is becoming a Vestal Virgin, just because I think it makes more sense than Volesus going to the monastery in the Asian part of town...

Primula just turned into a child at the end of the last round. When she's around '36' (not sure how I'll determine it yet) she'll be able to start her own household, and maybe settle down with someone. I use just the regular Maxis aging and while it's not perfect, it works for me, especially that the teenage life stage is so long. But I might someday make my own, I will see.

Thanks to this ROS I will have an incentive to actually play the Vestals' lot because Primula has got a twin brother, so they need to age at around the same time.

On topic of how I play the Vestal lot:

I have one of these altars there just for the looks so the fire is everlasting, but also it's an easy way to either max out your sim's energy bar, or to make them pass out.

For the actual functional aspect of the lot I use Sun&Moon's All Fired Up. My sims need to light up the fire and collect the ashes every ~8 hours. But I give them an hour to do it, so I'm not very strict about it.

One Vestal Virgin has to be awake when another one is asleep so that there is always someone to collect the ashes and light the fire again as soon as possible, at all times. They also pray at the main altar, so that I can decide who is on the watch duty. I also allow them to go to the bathhouse once a day when I'm sure the fire won't stop burning.

Back to the main household...

Marius Wolfen met a newcomer to town, Polla, at the temple. She must have been mourning the unfortunate disappearance of their relative.

On the following day, her cousin Caesulla was walking by the Orange/Wolfen lot. Marius didn't have great chemistry with her, but she liked him quite a lot! Her relative, Polla, already made friends with Marius by that point, and to their knowledge she's her only relative, so this betrothal was fully approved.

The young couple went on two dates before they tied the knot. Their first date wasn't very good because Marius had to go to work, and I imagine he might have mentioned something about preparing for the upcoming war... But Caesulla warmed up to him the second time they met.

They didn't have a huge crowd at the wedding, but I decided to invite Primula and Rana, so everyone knows the whereabouts of the missing child. I'm sure it's reassuring to them to know she is fine and well, even if she's far away from home.

Marius and Caesulla had a baby girl named Maria together. She is a blue-eyed brunette. Maria Wolfen is totally fine and she will live a long, healthy life, unless something unexpected happens to her. Unfortunately, her mom felt bad after giving birth and she didn't survive... That also means the Wolfen family name will end with this generation.

Maria is a Pisces and she has a very similar personality to her mom's, the only difference is that she's 9 Nice (other than that she's the exact copy in terms of personality: 6 Neat, 3 Shy, 9 Active, 2 Serious). I think she has got her dad's nose, but she might have inherited her mom's eyes and mouth. She is darker skinned than her parents, I think it's because my alien skin is on the scale (or maybe she just inherited it from her grandpa, I'm not sure).

Caesulla's death was tragic and there was nothing funny about it, but I couldn't help but notice her husband was in the middle of something (likely sponge bathing) while she was 'expiring'... So he was captured mourning, clad in nothing but his tears, I suppose.

I am very sorry her life was so short, especially that we didn't really get to know her very well... I hope her cousin's fate will be better.

It was high time to find a mate for Fitela this round, before he would become an elderly dog. Fitela and Alia (a newly-adopted stray wolf) had one female puppy together. I called her Lykaia.

Luna (Fitela's mother, and enemy) crossed the rainbow bridge on the same day when the household witnessed the birth of two little goat kids. It is a slow process, but someday they will have a big goat farm.

The Orange/Wolfen home business earned ~800$, and together with Marius's military career paychecks they earned 1285$ this round.

Before Marius and Ninildu went off to war, Volesus aged up into a teen and was rolled to become a Romance sim. He will stay home and take care of Aulus, to pay off his 'debt'. After all, he was well looked after in this household after he had been orphaned.

I also had Ninildu close the home business to avoid any issues. Volesus will need to open it on his own... after which I will probably have Aulus take over.

Meet two marriageable prospects for the sims who wish to find love before they go off to war. These two lovely ladies arrived in the capital after their relative, Septimus Corfidius, had tragically gone missing before the war had even broken out.

Polla's personality was randomized. She's an Aquarius: 3 Sloppy, 3 Shy, 4 Lazy, 10 Playful, and 5 Grouchy. She's a Knowledge sim and she's interested in Nature.

Caesulla is a Popularity sim. Her personality was selected by the game. She's a Scorpio: 6 Neat [like Septimus], 3 Shy [like Polla], 9 Active [like Septimus], 2 Serious, and 5 Nice [like Polla]. Polla is her relative (technically she was her mom in CAS, but now they are cousins). She's into Sports.

Was Septimus created only to give the blue recessive gene to Caesulla? Maybe.

I removed all their memories and family ties (also broke Polla and Septimus up). Then I set Polla as Caesulla's cousin, and Septimus as her uncle. It is unlikely they will ever cross paths again but who knows. If I am ever in need of some war storyline, he can be deserters' leader, or a soldier miraculously found years after the war...

Happy Women's Day to everyone celebrating!*

Today we are visiting the Bruni household, where the imperial nuptials are finally taking place. I'm excited to finally see the royal couple tie the knot. We can also see the emperor's sister carry her first pregnancy, since she's still residing in the palace.

Some of my sims got little makeovers because I wanted to use these awesome pallas so they look a bit different in later screenshots.

Sesheshet's first pregnancy and birth went swimmingly. The baby is a healthy baby girl named Fausta. She has got her mother's gray eyes and dad's blond hair. Laetus talked his wife into trying for a baby one more time before he would go off to war, but sadly that baby was not meant to be...

Fausta is a Gemini. She's 2 Sloppy (her dad is 3 Sloppy), 10 Outgoing (her dad is 8 Outgoing), 10 Active (her mom is 9 Active), 5 Playful (her dad is 6 Playful), and 8 Nice (her mom is 9 Nice). She is a nice mix of her parents in terms of personality.

The young empress's pregnancy went without any complications as well. However, the royal couple had some issues conceiving... They likely won't have a lot of children even if Mnevis comes home safely.

I am happy to announce that there is an heir to the throne! Sen gave birth to a baby boy, prince Sertor. Should anything bad happen to Mnevis, he has got a son already. Fausta and Sertor might as well be siblings and not cousins; they are both gray-eyed blondes.

I got the emperor a job in the Military career on the last day of his adolescence. He went to work and got promoted after his age up, but he definitely needs to work on his body skill. He is quite a lazy sim who is more interested in fine arts. Sesheshet encouraged her brother to be a bit more active before he went off to war.

PS For some reason the wedding party was a disaster, even though the couple got married. Maybe it's because the evil witch showed up and everyone was freaking out about the cockroaches? My sims must be afraid of a new plague wave... or signs of the incoming war. I sort of like it for the story, perhaps nobody but the royal couple enjoyed the feast. In reality it's probably some sort of a bug with the community lot weddings, but I wanted to throw a community lot party...

The ROS for the Tia family was A Night At Church. Sen was supposed to stay at the temple at night, but I sent her to the bathhouse too because that's where I keep my graves. She went there every night of this round, but no ghost scared her... At least she met the evil witch and got scared by the cockroaches.

Before she even went to the graveyard for the first time, she had caused a fire. Sen will definitely need a servant to cook for her. The whole kitchen burnt down.

Demiana Tia was rolled to be a Romance sim, like her grandmother. I don't know how good of a heartbreaker she will be, but she can try her best. She's also family-oriented, so she would like a child someday. She's bi, so she'd be open to any relationship.

Unfortunately, Yune Siew aged up badly. She didn't really have any wants which could be fulfilled and she couldn't run the business anymore. At least she started her adulthood with some interesting wants. She wants to make a wish on the genie lamp, which is something to look forward to. Maybe she will wish for money and move out with some merchant who owns a business...

The emperor's sister, Sesheshet, wanted to fall in love with Tane Siew. She is a Romance sim who clearly isn't that into her husband, so I let them flirt a little bit. Tane wanted to get engaged to her, but she rejected the proposal. She agreed to have an open relationship though. Let's just hope her husband doesn't learn about any of this.

She brought Tane the Chinese vase as a date gift. Sadly, one of the cats destroyed it before I even moved it into the house.

I am using these want trees now and Tane wanted to follow in his grandfather's footsteps and become a Courtier. He took over his grandfather's career when Zet had retired. He might become Mnevis's cup-bearer someday.

Tane got promoted on his first workday, earning 577$ + 1154$ bonus. And the next time he went to work he got promoted again, earning 714$ + 1428$. He probably won't get promoted for a while now as he lacks skills, but that's good enough for a Pleasure sim.

Zet Tia got his last vacation day payment of 1155$ before he retired. Then he got 412$ as a retirement payment.

Zet maxed out Literature enthusiasm. Later he moved on to his One True Hobby, which is Arts&Crafts to max out Creativity.

They earned 5440$.

They paid 4100$. The town has accumulated 62,440$ so far.

At the end of the round the Tia/Siew men were sent off to war. Tane Siew is going... and his grandpa is joining him too because I don't have enough sims. Sadly, after 11 days (or 2 seasons) Zet Tia's life will probably end regardless of the outcome of the war, so it might be the last time we see him...

Now I will enumerate who else is going. Marius Wolfen is coming, despite being a teen, because he works for the military. He is supposed to be the first man to be drafted. Ninildu Orange will also go. The only problem is that they live together and are taking care of underage sims. I might just play them for 1-2 more days so that the kids can stay alone on the Orange/Wolfen lot. The only other option is finding a wife for Marius very quickly, before he is drafted.

Lalli Imago will go, as he's aging up at the very beginning of the round. His dad is definitely not going, as he's an elder and he's going on a witchy adventure instead. Lalli will probably find a wife immediately after he ages up. Although he has one younger brother who could produce heirs, his family expects Lalli to have children.

The emperor is for sure going after he gets married this round, because he is getting together with Sen and having at least one child, even if it's the last thing he does in his life. Laetus Machia, the emperor's brother-in-law, is also going. That will probably make his wife happy rather than sad, as she might be able to find some more lovers...

Just some pictures of kittens completely unbothered by the fire. Their mom almost starved and ran away from home. Also, everything in the kitchen burnt down. Human sims are OK because I use Fight or Flight but this fire was burning for quite a long while...

I'm finishing up the round by visiting the Bruni/Lao family in Sim Asia. The ROS I got was the war one, but I will only implement it at the end of the next round. So the Laos got another scenario instead.

Satet is going to murder her husband who left her alone with their children. She is an Evil sim and her personality is positive overall, but she's very grouchy, so I couldn't think of a better sim besides Sampsa Imago who would ever do that.

For now nobody ratted out Satet, but I will check every round if someone finds out about this crime.

I think it would make the most sense for the story if Magu was an accomplice. She had just spent some time in 'jail', where she had ample chances to talk to her brother and perhaps she hinted that his wife was still awaiting for him to come back home, at least just to visit his children.

Guiren maxed out her Body skill and then she joined the Dance {WooHoo Worker} career. Her mom wants her to become an overachiever, which will never happen, but at least she has a job. Bazi, the younger daughter, is also into Fitness and similarly wants to maximize her Body skill.

Magu aged up and she's now an adult. Her adolescence was not very eventful, especially that she spent a part of it in jail. Hopefully she can find happiness now. She has no living relatives now, except for her nieces.

They earned ~500$ in the business... Hisashi also brought ~1000$ with him when he moved in, but nobody has to know about it...

There will be no burial fee for Hisashi because he won't be sent to the graveyard. His ghost has already shown up and he will keep haunting Satet until her death... or until she gets caught, whichever comes first.

Today we are visiting the last family of the Roman part of my town. But before I start playing the imperial family, I would like to mention 2 things:

Sampsa Imago is back to wishing for zombies, now he wants to zombify his daughter-in-law. He might visit one of the secret witch lots to seek guidance.

While I was playing another family, Sen Siew, the future empress, was seen flirting with Tasuku Tian, whom she had just met. This situation is creepy because he wanted to kiss her mother before. Now that Lovi is no longer on this planet, he's into her daughter. I have to play the Tians so he will age up...

The ROS gods didn't want anything to happen to the imperial family. Only after I rerolled a couple of times did they get an applicable scenario that wasn't just free money. The scenario ended up being Out with you child!*

I didn't want to force Mnevis's aunt, Gautseshen, into a straight relationship, so I didn't apply this scenario to her. Instead, the emperor wants to make sure his sister gets married as soon as possible.

Sesheshet got betrothed to Laetus Machia, the uncle of Sevira from the previous post. I waited for Sesheshet to age up before they would marry. The couple's courtship was pretty long, but it was not very eventful. Laetus was giving Sesheshet conflicting signals. On their first date he rolled the marriage want almost immediately, but sadly he decided to leave the date early. The couple haven't fallen in love so far, but they are best friends at least.

Peregrina Flori had to be executed this round. Around the time of her demise Mnevis had a fear of being enemies with her sister, Titia. Peregrina was thrown into the same cell where her lover had ended up before her.

You could say Mnevis is sacrificing a servant to wish for health for his people. The imperial family has two genie lamps. Gautseshen, the emperor's aunt, got the memory of getting them long ago. Since she most likely won't be starting a family of her own, she will leave the lamps on this lot, so the emperor could use them to cure the plague if need be.

Gautseshen was working on her literature enthusiasm this round. Her novels were not considered very good but she enjoyed writing them. She simply wanted to express herself and do something with her time besides hugging the family cat.

Camilla Flori, the daughter of Camillus Fortunatus and Peregrina Flori, is now an orphan. She probably didn't fully realize what had happened. But as is tradition for toddlers, she went into aspiration failure upon her family member's death. Her whole family helped her through this hard time and taught her toddler skills.

Cleo Flori, one of Camilla's cousins, has become a teenager this round, and she's now a Popularity sim, like her newly-deceased aunt. Her elder sister Hera has become an adult at the very end of this round as well.

Edit: If you complain about something enough, you will get what you ask for I guess. I just rolled for the next family and I got The trumpets call to war ROS. I will only send my sims off at the end of the next round because there are things which need to be done before the emperor calls people to fight.

Unfortunately, this round will bring misfortune to the Imago house. I rolled a dice and it picked Ofilius who has only become a teen at the very beginning of this round. I knew his death was slowly approaching because he didn't have the best life rolls, but I would have given him more time as a teenager, were it not for this ROS.

But he still had this season to live, so he got the best out of it. He met his mail order bride, Sevira Machia. She is an orphan and a distant relative (uncle) is taking care of her as her guardian/tutor. Sevira is a Pleasure sim (Capricorn) and she had a whopping 3 chemistry bolts with Ofilius (who is a Romance sim). Her guardian Laetus is a Knowledge sim (Leo).

The wedding was very emotional and full of tears. Sevira was going through her first moon cycle and neither the bride nor the groom were happy about tying the knot so early. The emperor Mnevis came to his aunt Baset's birthday party and he was also talked into officiating her son's union.

Ofilius and Sevira had one healthy baby. Sadly, they both passed away soon after. Before Ofilius passed away, he managed to max out Logic and Games. His One True Hobby was Science, but he was more interested in playing chess. Interestingly, his wife Sevira wanted to stargaze all the time and I think she managed to earn ~1000$ discovering stars, so I just considered this her dowry.

Their baby turned out to be a boy. His name is Silvanus. Silvanus is mannequin skinned (like Sevira). He inherited red hair from his grandmother Baset and he has got the blue eyes of his father. After Sampsa became an elder, I finally let him fulfill his wish of becoming a wizard. Although he had more chemistry with the good witch, I thought the evil witch was more suitable for the position of his mentor.

Sampsa and Baset's marriage seems to be going awry... In modern gameplay I would probably have them split up. Baset keeps wishing to fall in love with other people. She also hates the fact that her husband is now a sorcerer.

Lalli's LTW is to go into the Medicine career. What motivated his decision to devote his life to helping the sick was the fate of his brother and his sister-in-law who died prematurely. He's also disappointed in his father who wishes to inflict some dark witchcraft on others.

Lalli got his wish of getting into the private school. I imagine he thinks he'll have a better chance of becoming a doctor if he goes to a more prestigious school (uni isn't an option for now).

Sampsa earned 1008$ like the last round, so the Imagos paid the same tax. He used up all his vacation days and retired to become a full-time warlock. My town has accumulated 57,590$ so far.

In the end I played the Imago household for a day longer than I was supposed to but that's fine. I'll just play them for a shorter time next round.

Happy holidays, everyone. Today we are visiting the Tia household which just lost a member. Rana Tia now resides in the vestal temple. Her fate was decided by a ROS and she was nominated by a dice roll, but I also think it makes sense she wouldn't start a regular family, as she was only miraculously born after her mother had to be brought back to life.

The only cats of my neighbourhood, Li and Nefertum, had 3 little kittens: Bastet, Tamiu, and Nojem. Two of them inherited their mom's fur, but one of them has the dad's coat. They all are Virgos and have the exact same personality: Doofus, Hyper, Friendly, Cowardly, and Finicky, so they are very similar to their mother but they are not Aggressive.

Sen managed to max out the Charisma skill, so she can officially marry the emperor when the time comes. She will become an adult next round.

Tane wanted to have a party so he threw a birthday party for his grandpa. Sampsa Imago wasn't invited, to avoid any sort of drama, but he came over to visit after the party. Zet and Sampsa are still the best of friends.

Tane would also like to go on a date, so I will probably create a romantic prospect for him next round.

Saku and Yune Siew are slowly accommodating to the new place. Yune was happier in their business at the old Siews' house where she could earn money and work on her sales badges, but now she can live in a more luxurious place and she will be given a dowry.

The head of the Tia household wanted to write a novel because of all the literature enthusiasm he got from relaxing in bed with a book to read. I allowed Zet to document his life in written form before he would pass away. He had his final age up at the end of this round.

Technically, Zet wasn't supposed to be promoted anymore, but he got a lucky chance card promotion. He is going to retire next round. His earnings this round were 8909$, which includes his novel royalty payment.

Happy winter solstice, everyone! or the summer one if you're in the other hemisphere

The ROS decided a teen female sim would leave their family home, so I built a little temple in my Roman part of town. It's right next to the community lot temple (which I want to keep open to public). This lot is only a small add-on building.

I know it doesn't make total sense for teens to become vestals/priestesses, as usually only children (up to 10 y.o.) would have been selected, but I decided that's the best thing I could do for this sim. From now on I might roll who will become a vestal in childhood, but it needs to be a really rare occurrence.

I don't know exactly how they would have worked, but I imagine they must have worked shifts, since they couldn't let the sacred fire die on them... so it would be perfect to have at least one more girl living there.

The vestal virgins would stay at the vestal collegium for 3 decades. These girls would turn 36 (at least) before they would finish their service. After that they could marry. Having a priestess in the family was a great honour and vestals had great freedoms and a lot of rights.

Today we are visiting the Orange/Wolfen household. The ROS I got for them applies to Marius Wolfen. He's getting a 6-round-long contract and he is becoming a knight. He had just lost his home and business, so it's perfect he has something else to do now, besides taking care of orphaned aliens.

There are no negatives to this ROS... unless a war breaks out during these 6 rounds. If that happens, Marius will be the first soldier to go. I might decide to start a war, but I would like the population to be at a decently high level before I willingly call my sims to war.

Interestingly, Marius got the Coward trait when I was randomizing everyone's traits (as always, you can see everyone's traits here). I'm guessing he would have never chosen this career for himself, but he was forcefully drafted.

Marius is a Family sim and he would like to fall in love. Next round I might find a lady for him to get a crush on. Since he's supposed to be a knight now, he probably won't marry immediately. If he does well in his career, he might end up in my Sim Egypt.

This round was filled with skilling the twin toddlers and looking after the pregnant Adriana, Ninildu's wife.

At first Primula was a bit ahead in terms of development in comparison to her brother, but Volesus quickly caught up to her. They both learned all of the toddler skills in the end, except for the Nursery Rhyme.

The twins aged up a day before Ninildu's and his baby's birthday. Sadly, Ninildu aged up in aspiration failure...

Unfortunately, Adriana did not have a good birth... But before that I had also almost experienced the first random miscarriage in my game. I accidentally cancelled it, but I found it strange that it was going to happen in the last trimester. It's possible I had the mod order set up wrong before, now I have the alt pregnancy controller loading last. The miscarriage alert was definitely a bad sign for the things to come...

Adriana gave birth to a baby boy. His name is Aulus. He's a gray-eyed brunette. He looks more like his mom, but he has gray eyes of his great-grandfather. He's a Virgo: max Neat, 5 Outgoing, 5 Active, 4 Serious, and 3 Grouchy. He's quite different from both of his parents, which is quite unusual.

Because Adriana's health score was supposed to be very high, something must have been really wrong with this pregnancy, or maybe the birth was really hard. I really need a midwife or a doctor in my town soon... This baby will be fed 'goat' milk, since they have farm animals, and I won't be getting a wet nurse for them.

I will have to move in Fitela's mate next round, as he is nearing elderhood, but no dogs were walking by the Oranges' lot this rotation. Fitela's mom, Luna, hates him now. They were not really fighting, but they kept chasing each other. Moving in the dogs together was not a good choice apparently.

Marius was in luck, because the Knighthood career happened to be available, so the army was actively looking for soldiers. He earned 388$ (his paycheck is 97$).

Ninildu opened his store for one short shift and earned 595$. Together they earned 983$, and I decided they would be paying their taxes together, since they all live on one lot.

Unfortunately, one of the goat kids was randomly lost this round filled with misfortune. But hopefully there will be more young goats soon.
