"At the beginning of your pleas for mercy a word went out, and I have come to tell it to you, for you are greatly loved. Therefore consider the word and understand the vision.” — Daniel 9:23 (ESV)
"Then he said to me, ‘Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and humbled yourself before your God, your words have been heard, and I have come because of your words.”— Daniel 10:12 (ESV)
Daniel’s prayers were powerful and effective. God acted from the BEGINNING of his pleas, from the FIRST DAY he humbled himself. God used him for global, historic impact.
We need more Daniels today. We need to be like Daniel.

You know when you upgrade your computer’s software — the hardware groans, the system slows, the fan roars, heat rising in the process.
That’s how it feels when I assess my heart now — running overtime under the weight of reflection, yet making room for something new.

Are you familiar with the feeling? The feeling of happiness choked by anxiety after you’ve done well — because the success comes the stress of staying consistent. Was it sheer luck or am I truly capable? I ask myself.
Yet, in the midst of this constant anguish, I marvel at the perfection of the God I worship. How does He stay a 💯 forever? I‘m in awe.
