Summary: The House of the Hearth is a family, in this family threre is a Father - but also a Mother. The Father is strong and protects the Family, while the Mother is loving and nurturing...
Pairing: Arlecchino x Fem!Reader + Members of the House of the Hearth
Warnings: Possible spoilers for Lyney and Lynette lore! Female reader! Unhealthy family relationship dynamics! Favoritism towards the twins! Possibly ooc characters! Likely not completely lore accurate! Kinda fluffy!
Notes: Not only is Arlecchino mommy, she's also daddy😩 Sorry if this is bad, I'm just rambling lol
Tumblr media
Arlecchino knew that children required both discipline and affirmation from their parents to grow well. With only discipline they would only fear her and while fear was a powerful tool, it could only carry one so far. If they feared her and got the chance to they would be more likely to run away from the family - family needed love, trust and discipline. That's where you came in...
To make the perfect family it needed a Father and a Mother, you would be the perfect mother to the orphans. You were loving and nurturing, but you were no push over - the children equally loved and respected you. At first Arlecchino had wanted to keep you far away from all business aspects of her life, she especially didn't want you involved with the Fatui - in case she cut ties with them or rather when.
The first time she brought you to meet the children they all looked at you curiously, some hiding behind the older kids as they peeked at you. They were taken aback by your warm smile and carefree nature as you stood comfortably beside the intimidating Father who introduced you as Mother. Many had lost their mothers at a young age or never even knew them so they quite quickly got attached to you.
You took it upon yourself to cook for the kids, some of them even joined you in hopes of getting praise from you or just to spend time with you. You helped them cut and style their hair, it was quite amusing to see the long line of children waiting for you to brush their hair as well. You would tuck in those who wanted for you to do so and read or sang them to sleep. It was definitely hard work looking after so many children, but you wouldn't trade it for anything.
Rutine was crucial for development - Arlecchino was more strict about it, but you both agreed on its importance. At dawn you would wake them up, help them get dressed and serve them breakfast. The older children would be sent off on missions while the younger were still being trained. In the afternoon food was served and you sat together at dinner table like any family - Father would join if she could, but it rarely happened. Then at night you made sure they washed up before you put them to bed.
This was the standard routine, but there were times in between that you spent with the children. It was often spent playing games of all kind, though getting a group of young children to agree on a single game was quite difficult - but everything was difficult when raising so many children! Like a true Mother you loved them all equally; no matter how old or young, how good or bad.
That was until you took in the twins at least... The way your heart broke for them when Arlecchino brought them to you. Their clothes were tattered, their hair all messy and unkept, dirt all over their faces - but to you they looked absolutely perfect. You kneeled down on the floor to be at eye level with them as you gently spoke to them...
“Welcome home.” You smiled warmly.
The twins were weary of you for quite some time, not wanting to trust you just yet. Lyney was the first one to trust and open up to you after almost two weeks of living at the House of the Hearth. They were very observant, usually sitting by themselves and simply watching everything you did. Perhaps after watching you for so long they thought to give you a chance.
That night while you were brushing everyone's hair Lyney walked up to you with puppy eyes and Lynette behind him holding his hand, he asked that you brush their hair as well. You smiled at the request, motioning for him to sit down on the chair in front of you. He did so and you began brushing his hair with the upmost care. Not that you didn't do the same with the other children, but you were simply being extra caring with him.
Lyney thanked you with a smile and switched places with his sister, who looked quite a bit more nervous. Her ears were pressed down against her head and she held tightly onto Lyney's hand. You rubbed her back gently to try and calm her down before you began to brush her long hair, due to it's length it had knotted from the lack of care. You took your time carefully brushing them out to not hurt Lynette and being extra careful around her ears.
After that the twins became more open to receiving affection from you, every night you would brush their hair like everyone else and after that you would tuck them into bed with a kiss on their foreheads. You always made sure to put them last so you could take your time with them!
Everyone - including Father could see this clear favoritism you had towards the twins, but it was never talked about. Father didn't mind though, she actually encouraged it and began to favor them as well. Though her way of favoring wasn't as obvious and instead showed in different ways...
Each time when they were given a mission that would take them away from you, your heart broke. It was hard watching them go and it was even harder to let them go! When hugging them goodbye you could only just barely let go of them, you knew you had to but you hated doing so... Everytime they returned - no matter how late it was, you would spend at least five minutes just hugging them and kissing their foreheads. Just thankful that they returned to you safe and sound.
Due to your favoritism and their good work Father had set her eyes on Lyney - planning to make him her heir one day... You looked forward to the day the mantle would be passed onto him and what he would do with it, how he would lead the House. But for now, you were focused on letting them be young and children as much as it was possible.

hello, how are you? ^_^ if it's okay, may i please request qiqi, klee, diona, sayu, dori, nahida and yaoyao all spending a day together with a fem!reader?
maybe with the reader being the traveler, but not being aether nor lumine, but a reader!traveler or something?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: While travelling across the vast lands of Teyvat you decide to take a break and spend some time with your little friends by inviting them into your Serenitea Pot!
Pairing: Qiqi, Klee, Diona, Sayu, Nahida and Yaoyao x Gn-reader! (Platonic!)
Warnings: Paimon is included! Written with Fem-reader in mind! Reader is referred to as "you/she/her" or "Traveler" or "Honorary Knight"! It's long! Possible grammar errors as I'm lazy and this is long! (Sorry!)
Notes: Thank you so much for the request Anon! I hope I did a good job writing this; it was really fun! I couldn't find a way to include Dori - I'm sorry Anon! Feel free to request again if you specifically want her included and I'll make it happen! Also so sorry for taking so long to finish this!! <33
Tumblr media
Adventuring throughout Teyvat was extremely rewarding, yet exhausting. Lately it hadn't even been that rewarding, both you and Paimon were quite tired of searching each and every corner of Teyvat only to end up empty handed despite your best efforts... It was high time you took a small break from adventuring and had a relaxing vacation in the comfort of your Serenitea Pot!
You arrived swiftly inside and were greeted with the familiar sight of your house and all the things you had placed outside to make the place more homely! Your eyes roamed through it all as a proud smile rested on your lips. Soon your attention was caught by a particular quest of yours that stood under the shade of a tree, she stood there with some finches happily chirping by her side - one of them even settled on her head! With a smile you approached Qiqi, careful to not startle her or her bird friends.
“Hello, Qiqi!” You greeted her with Paimon following your example and doing the same.
“Hello, Traveler and Paimon...” She slowly greeted back.
Only after looking up did you notice you weren't alone, as Sayu was laying on one of the braches deep in sleep without a care in the world - though you couldn't help, but worry that she would fall down! But hearing the front door to your mansion open your attention was brought elsewhere as you turned around to see Yaoyao along with Diona rushing out with their hands filled with snacks and drinks.
“Hi, Traveler!” Yaoyao greeted you with a big smile.
“I'm sure she didn't ignore you on purpose.” You poked her side playfully.
“Hey! Paimon's here too you know!” Paimon crossed her arms, clearly offended.
“Hey! Do you plan on just standing there or are you going to help? My hands are full you know!” Diona huffed.
You quickly acted and took half of the drinks from her into your own hands - even for a bartender it was too many drinks for one person to carry, you weren't sure how she managed to carry them this far by herself! Diona let out a sigh of relief when freed from half of the glasses before greeting you like the others had previously.
“So are you guys having a picnic or what?” Paimon asked curiously.
“Yes we are! We were planning to just have a snack together, but then the others asked for some too!” Yaoyao explained.
“Others?” You and Paimon asked in unison.
“Oh, they haven't returned yet.” Yaoyao started to look around for someone.
“Klee went to look for a picnic blanket and Nahida said she'd clean up the kitchen before joining us.” Diona explained.
“I should go help her clean up!” Yaoyao offered.
“It's okay, I'll go help her.” You interjected.
“Then I'll go help Klee!” She smiled.
“You really can't sit still.” Paimon joked.
The three of you entered the mansion, but split up as Yaoyao went to seek out Klee and you headed for the kitchen with Paimon. There you found a very puzzled looking Nahida as she stared at the dirty dishes and left over materials that Diona and Yaoyao didn't yet put away.
“Hi, Nahida! Need some help?” You broke her train of thought.
“Traveler! It's been a while, how have you been?” She excitedly approached you.
“Just fine! Paimon and I decided to take a vacation for a while and came to help you clean up!” You explained.
“Oh, I see... I'm sorry Traveler, I haven't washed dishes before and I didn't want to mess up.” She slumped her shoulders.
“It's okay Nahida, Paimon doesn't know how either!” Paimon proudly declared.
“Right! We're happy to help.” You pat her head gently in reassurance.
With a nod of understanding from the young Archon you asked her to take care of putting things away while you would do the dishes; Paimon opted to help out Nahida instead of helping you wash the dirty things Diona and Yaoyao had used to prepare the feast you would soon be joining.
Time flew by as you caught up with Nahida; telling her about your recent adventures, in turn you asked her how she and Sumeru were doing lately. Doing the dishes might not be your favourite chore to do, but with good company it was akin to relaxing. Soon enough the kitchen was as good as new and the three of you were able to finally join the others outside!
“Miss Honorary Knight and Paimon!” Klee shouted as she ran towards you full speed.
You were barely able to react and catch her when she jumped into your arms, tightly holding onto you. Despite her young age and small size she hugged you with incredible strength! You hugged her back while trying your best to not pass out due to lack of air getting into your lungs.
“Uh, Klee? Paimon thinks you're suffocating her!” Paimon stated in worry.
“Oh - sorry!” She giggled and relented her grip.
“It's okay. Hello to you too Klee!” You greeted her while gasping for air.
“Can we get to it already?” Diona sighed.
“Yeah! Paimon wants to eat already!” Paimon begged.
“Okay, okay! Let's start with the blanket.” You calmly put down Klee before picking up said blanket.
Klee, Yaoyao and Diona were quick to come to your aid, each of them picked a corner of the blacket and helped you spread it out evenly on the grass. Everyone helped place the drinks and food on the blacket before sitting down together to enjoy - well everyone except you.
“Sayu! Sayu come down for some snacks!” You shouted gently to not startle her or hurt Diona's sensitive ears.
The little ninja stirred awake and yawned loudly while stretching, she skilfully and quickly got down from the tree while still quite sleepy. She rolled over right next to you with her head soon falling against your arm, poor thing was still waking up and could barely hold her own head up. You didn't mind in the slightest and tried your best to stay as still as you could to not disturb her if she wanted to continue sleeping.
After eating you all decided to play some hide and seek to release all the energy the little one's got from the sugary drinks and food! Paimon opted not to join the game and istead stayed to eat any left overs she could, she truly had an abnormal appetite... Some activity like this wouldn't be bad for her at all, but you didn't wish to force her to join against her will.
You were chosen to be the first seeker while everyone else hid, you were looking forward to their hiding spots! You had designed the teapot yourself which gave you an advantage over them, but you were certain that some like Sayu would make it quite a challenge for you. Soon you reached the count of thirty and the hunt began!
You only had to turn around to see Nahida peeking at you from behind a tree not too far away... You wanted to leave her be so she wouldn't lose so quickly on the first round, but it wouldn't be fair to the others to do so. With a heavy heart you approached her and told her to come out from hiding.
“I've never played this game before.” She laughed awkwardly.
“Don't worry, I'm sure you'll do better bext time!” You encouraged her.
She nodded and ran back to the picnic blanket to wait for the game to end. Your next target wasn't even hiding as Qiqi stood on the porch right next to Tubby looking starstruck. You probably should have expected that she might get distracted or even forget about the game all together, but like before you approached her and told her to go join Nahida.
This time it took you a bit longer to find someone, though you couldn't help but chuckle when you spotted a pair of cat ears peeking ever so slightly from a bush. Diona was disappointed from not winning, but she cheered up a bit after hearing she wasn't the first one to be found.
Once again it took you some time before you were able to find Klee, she was hiding behind a large structure and thus you were unable to see her before you went behind it - which you didn't think to do before since you wanted to check the obvious spots first; just in case!
Now the only one left was unsurprisingly, Sayu. You were expecting this of course, she is a ninja after all! It felt like you were looking for her forever... You had looked everywhere twice, every stone and tree - you just couldn't find her! You were ready to give up until you heard something, the sound of soft snoring that was coming from above - from the roof!
After an arduous clim you were able to safely retrieve the sleeping Sayu and bring her down from the roof to join the others... Seeing how exhausted everyone were after eating and playing you decided to take a nap power together.
Sayu was sleeping next to you already and despite how much energy Klee had, she was able to calm down enough to crawl next to you as well. Diona was happy enough near your feet where she could have her own space and Nahida was on the other side looking the most exited about the idea of dreaming. Yaoyao and Qiqi were on your left together and Paimon was on your right, next to Sayu.
You closed your eyes as the sun began setting in the distance making everything glow warm yellow, the air was warm with a gentle and cool wind brushing over you occasionally. The soft snores didn't bother you in the slightest with how relaxed and at peace you felt... You wished moments like these would last forever.

This is a rewrite of an old fic!
Summary: Upon your creation you are deemed unworthy by your creator; your mother. You are sent hand in hand to face the world of Teyvat and it's challenges until it forces your brother to change forever to protect you...
Pairings: Scaramouche/Kunikuzushi x Sibling!Fem!reader - platonic!
Notes/warnings: Fem reader! Reader is said to somewhat resemble Ei! Spoilers for Scaramouche and Ei's back story, but it's changed in this story! Unhealthy family relationships and dynamics! Child abandonment! Small mentions of death (not reader or Scara!)
Tumblr media
Kunikuzushi - as he would later be named, came into this world as a mere experiment into the making of living puppets; created by the Electro Archon Raiden Ei. Due to it being her first time creating a puppet she somewhat tested the limits of it; thus making Kunikuzushi quite different from her, but he still resembled her enough to be recognized as her kin.
She hadn't expected much from the first try, but she was still disappointed that he didn't turn out perfect or the way she had imagined him to be. He was too emotional; too human for her desired outcome. An imperfection in her eyes and thus unfit to be the holder of her Gnosis or rule Inazuma. He was quickly left behind, but not discarded.
This disappointment did not deter her, as she tried again with more knowledge and experience. This time the puppet would be designed and created with her desired outcome in mind. Thus she created you, but even you weren't what she deemed to be worthy. You resembled her like a daughter would resemble their mother and you were not as openly emotional as her first creation, but it wasn't good enough. You weren't good enough in her eyes...
What Ei seeked was a clone-like puppet void of all emotions and humanity so it's judgement or obedience couldn't be clouded by them. All so she could pull it's strings and make it dance while she hid behind the curtain; locked away in the plane of Euthymia for all eternity. Neither of you fit into these standards and thus had no place in her vision of Eternity.
So you were cast out; simply thrown away like used toy's after she finished playing with them. In her eyes this was a kindness, as she "allowed" you to live freely as humans and choose your own path. It was more akin to guilt; like she felt she owed this to you because of her failure's. Perhaps a part of her had that motherly instinct that recognized you two as her children - thus she could never kill you, but neither could she keep you. You would never know for sure..
Together you would stumble throughout the lands of Inazuma as wanderer's, endlessly seeking for something unknown as you had no destination or goal. You were like to newborns that could walk and talk, yet knew nothing of the world you lived in. What were you seeking? A home? Some meaning in life? A purpose? But if your own creator; your own mother could turn you away - what purpose could your life possibly serve?
Throughout your journey you became somewhat known as others saw you as strange and unusual due to your unique clothing and behavior; people would refer to you as the "Kabukimono Twins". Though you weren't twins in reality you never corrected them as telling humans the truth of your nature would not only be difficult, but potentially dangerous for you. "Twins" was simply easier as neither of you aged and some of your features were similiar enough to mistake you two for real twins!
Despite how careful you tried to be, your journey always ended in disaster and heartbreak. Those around you would either betray you or die; though your brother saw their death as another form of betrayal. Especially with the human boy you lived with for a time, he was sick and you all knew this; but he had promised you would be a family - together forever! He was the one who gave you your names, so his death truly changed your lives forever...
You might have not noticed it or tried not to, but all your hardships had forever changed your brother. He became colder, more suspicious and distrusting of others; he would often scare them away with his paranoia. He smiled less and the sound of his laughter became like a distant memory... It saddened you greatly, but it was what he had to do to make sure you would never be betrayed again and to keep you safe.
You were the only one to never betray him and the only constant in this miserable life you lived. He knew he could always count on you to stay by his side no matter what, but he was becoming more paranoid the longer your journey went on. He kept having nightmares of loosing you or you joining with the rest of the world in betraying him. He wouldn't let you do that to him, he couldn't...
In a twisted sense he was glad you were meek and depended on him for almost everything. It greatly lowered the chances of you being able to betray him, unless you were influenced by someone else; which he wouldn't allow to happen. You barely interacted with humans anymore and when you did it was Kunikuzushi who would do the talking for both of you. Either way your own fear of abandonment and betrayal would nake it impossible for you to even consider doing it to someone else, especially him of all people.
As he descended from his hopeful, happy and naive personality; he would come to cherish it in you. He wanted to protect this part of you at all costs, to keep it intact... You could somehow still see the world in that sweet innocent way, even after all you have been through. He couldn't afford to do so anymore or you would be put in danger and be taken advantage of, but it was a sacrifice he was more than willing to make for you.
Somewhere along the line he became obsessed with the thought of gaining the Gnosis of your creator and becoming a God; something Ei thought him to be incapable of being. He wanted to prove her and the entire world wrong! He convinced you that with the Gnosis he would have enough power to protect you from everything; so nothing could hurt you ever again. You of course trusted him wholeheartedly and agreed.
It wasn't long after the boy's death that you were taken in by the Fatui and transported far from the land of your birth to the cold land of Snezhnaya. Things changed much then as he was made the Sixth Harbinger and named Scaramouche or The Balladeer, but he would still have you call him Kunikuzushi in private. You also saw each other much less as he was busy traveling around Teyvat on the Tsaritsa's orders and you were left in the Zapolyarny Palace all alone to wait for him as he couldn't trust anyone else to look after you.
He didn't care for the Tsaritsa or his colleagues, so he wasn't opposed to defending you by any means necessary if needed. They were a nice benefit to furthering his goals of gaining his creator's Gnosis and giving you the life you were deprived of; the life you deserved. You were the light in his darkness, his only reason to go on and he wouldn't let anything take that from him. Even if it meant locking you up with only him to talk to when he was available...
He never let you see this side of him; this new him. You never met Scaramouche The Balladeer, in your eyes he would only ever be your darling brother Kunikuzushi. The Fatui along with it's Harbingers essentially hated and despised him; as he was rude and never in a good mood. He would often yell or shout for any reason and at anyone if they displeased him or simply existed in his presence when he was in a bad mood; which was more often than not. While with you he was sweet and gentle, making jokes and doing menial tasks to keep you entertained like games, art and enjoying tea with snacks.
He was a completely different person when he was with you; you brought out the last piece of Kunikuzushi he had left in him. He would only let you know of and keep this side of him alive. As soon as he left your room he would turn back into the ruthless and cruel Balladeer, but every sacrifice and ounce of blood he had to spill was worth it if it meant he could give you the life you had only ever dreamed of. It was all worth it if he could see you smile and happy while proving to your creator that she was wrong about both of you...

A/N: I've been wanting to rewrite this for a long while now! The original was fine, but I feel my current writing helps to bring out more from the story and make it more alive :D

This is a rewrite of an old fic!
Summary: Every night you and Xiao are able to be reunited for a brief moment in time until the sun brings dawn and he is forced to lose you once again...
Pairings: Xiao x Gn!reader
Notes/Warnings: Reader is completely gender neutral and not described in any way! Poc friendly! Major angst! Established relationship? Minor mentions of death, but not really? Possible grammar errors!
Tumblr media
You sat upon a large rock and quietly admired the night sky above you, the moon was full and shining brightly above. Liyue was always breathtaking, but at night it was all the more gorgeous in your eyes. At night it was silent and peaceful, the sky was light up by millions of stars with the moon as its center piece. The air was cooler and the wind was pleasant as it hit your face and blew back your hair.
A smile grew on your lips as you heard the familiar sound of approaching footsteps, you turned your head to see Xiao standing not far from you with his mask on hiding his beautiful features from you and his polearm still in his tight grip. His amber eyes bore right through the mask he wore as they stared intensly at you, you could tell. For some reason you were always able to read him like an open book...
“You came, after all.” You simply said with your lips curved into an even brighter smile, but no surprise was found in your voice.
As Xiao remained in his place at a distance and without reply you simply pat the space next to you; signaling for him to sit next you. He hesitated for a few seconds before quickly doing as you requested, letting his polearm go and finally taking off his mask. His face was void of any emotion, but his eyes told you a different story. They were always filled with so many emotions he wasn't able to or was unwilling to express.
You decided to ignore it for now and let out a dreamy sigh as you stared back at the scenery you were just admiring a moment ago. With him beside you the world seemed brighter and more beautiful... He had once told you he felt the same thing when with you, that you helped lessen the pain of his karmic debt.
“No matter how many times we do this, it never gets old. It's always just as beautiful.” You said.
As if nothing had changed - you wished to add, but chose to keep it to yourself. You both knew that wasn't true at all and there was nothing that could be done to change that. Oh, what you wouldn't give to have a second chance or even just a moment more time where you could feel his touch against your skin...
You looked exactly like you did back then... You obviously hadn't aged, but even your clothing and lenght of hair were still the same. Words couldn't describe the pain he felt while looking at you like this, so at peace yet unable to move forward so you could finally rest. He couldn't comprehend how you could smile so warmly at him...
Xiao knew he should never have gotten involved with you, but hearts rarely if ever listened to reason. He told you or more akin to warned you that he would be the death of you, but there was nothing he could have said to make you listen and back away when he craved you just as much. He might have not literally been the one that stopped your heart from ever beating again, but he might as well have been since he was the one who failed to protect you despite his promise.
To him this was simply bound to happen; it was inevitable. He could never have a normal or a happy life with you, the life you deserved but he didn't. He knew this from the beginning, but you made him believe that your love could overcome every obstacle. Your love only caused pain for both of you even if you didn't think so, but like you he couldn't find it within himself to regret loving you. He could only regret how it ended and how it still effected both of you.
Even after death you weren't ready or able to move on. When Xiao discovered this he was even more distraught, he wasn't able to properly grieve you properly or move past it and onward with his life. It was then that he made you another promise despite not being able to keep the last one he had made. Due to failing to protect you; he would spend the rest of his life helping you move forward so you could finally rest in peace.
But after centuries of attempts and nothing to show for it, you both gave up. Xiao feared he had cursed you to forever being unable to move on by tainting you with his karmic debt, but you believed it to be your own selfish desire to not wishing to go where you cannot be with him... Though grim; you were patiently waiting for him so you could go together. Xiao felt that he didn't deserve to spend the eternity with you, but it was what you asked of him. Was it selfish? Yes. But neither of you were able to move on, in life nor death.
Coming to this lake was something you had done when you were still alive. Nights were the only time you both had a small amount time to do so, so now you only appeared there during the night. Back then you would lay beside him for warmth and eventually you would fall asleep with your head resting against his shoulder. Xiao would spent hours examining your features up close before raising you into his arms so he could bring you back home. Leaving you was always the hardest part for him, he wished he could simply lay beside you until noon like other lovers...
You watched Xiao's features carefully as he sat beside deep in thought, his mind was consumed by the knowledge of your death. Every time he saw or even thought of you the moment of you dying in his arms would play over and over again in a loop of agony and pain. Your hand gently reached to hold his to pull him back to you, his body jolted and his golden eyes widened in surprise from the contact. He stared down at your hand and how it was glowing a light blue.
“I can't feel your warmth...” He said softly. Such sadness in his voice made your heart ache.
You didn't respond, instead moving your gaze to the sky. His eyes followed yours; moving up from your joined hands to do the same. Taking in the same sky which he had watched with you for centuries and would continue to do so for even longer. Closing his eyes he could almost pretend that everything was still the same, as if nothing had changed...
It wouldn't be long now until the sun would rise over the horizon and take you away from him again. Soon he would have to say goodbye to you like he always did each and every night. Shattering what was left of his broken heart over and over in a cycle of misery that would continue until he fulfilled his duties to this world and would be able to join you...
Your attention was brought back to him as he turned his body towards you, his calloused hand softly brushing your cheek like he always did. You swore you could actually feel his touch from it. His longing for you seemed to finally begin slowly surfacing, after hundreds of years. Just as the first rays of sunshine began reaching for you, he leaned in and captured your lips in a kiss that you both desperately longed to feel.
So much was told by such a simple action - all his sorrows, anger and love proclaimed to you without uttering a single word as you faded away from his grasp... Leaving him to bitterly watch the sun paint the sky in bright colors of dawn that took you away from him again and again, making him pick up his polearm to protect the lands of Liyue as per his contract until the next night that he could be with you. Even if for a brief moment.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: You become overwhelmed and cry from your boyfriend being too sweet, nice, caring and cute!
Pairings: Kaveh x Gn!reader
Notes/Warnings: Reader is completely gender neutral and not described in any way! Poc friendly! Just pure fluff! Reader cries but it's sweet and fluffy! Possible grammar errors!
Tumblr media
You had always known Kaveh to be an incredibly kind human being; from the very first moment you met. Someone had rudely bumped into you which caused your items to fall from your hands, the person didn't even bother apologizing before continuing on their way. Kaveh happened to see the interaction and rushed over to help you - he even tried shouting after the person to apologize to you, but they didn't listen.
You appreciated the effort and his kindness nonetheless; he even offered to buy you some food to cheer you up! Though you protested against it, he managed to win you over in the end and he took you to a nice nearby cafe. You could see him eyeing at the prices with worried eyes and a strained smile, you could obviously tell he had some financial problems making his kind offer even more touching. You decided to order the cheapest item you liked and spent the afternoon with him just talking, god you could talk for hours with him!
Falling for Kaveh was the easiest thing you did in your life, but sometimes you wondered how it is you managed to get with him? With his looks and heart of gold you would think him to be more popular with suitors all over him; but no. The people in the Academia you understood as they were usually solely focused in their research, but he was so kind to everyone! Excluding his roommate whom he talked to you about, but didn't let you meet. Somehow Kaveh was a simple rock with gems hidden within, but others didn't seem to look deep enough to get to know him.
He may have not been that good with money, but he always finds other ways to treat you. One of his favorite things to do together is to go for a walk outside of Sumeru city and go sightseeing with you; he always finds the best spots too! Whether you're a morning person who he would go watch the sunrise with or a night owl who preferred the sunset, he will do whatever to make you happy. Seeing you be happy makes him beyond happy and it absolutely melts your heart!
There were many times in the past that almost caused you to burst into tears from him being too kind and sweet or too cute for you to handle! His tendency to draw in animals was strange, but so incredibly adorable. Stray cats would show up whenever you were sitting around and dogs would run up to greet you two - even birds would come closer to him than anyone else! Seeing him give in and pet or play with them was beyond cute!
He was also always so sweet and caring, he would never forget things you liked or cared about! If you needed space when upset he would give it to you; but if you wanted comfort he would be there in an instant with food or snacks he knew you loved. His kindness was also a bit of a flaw as he didn't want to think people would be terrible enough to use charity as a cash grab - which is why he often fell for them. This especially made you upset, but it didn't make you cry like today did.
Seeing the sky becoming darker and darker as your shift was beginning to end worried you, you had neglected to bring an umbrella as it had been clear all day before now. You would have to make your way to the other side of the city while getting completely soaked from the rain; not an ideal scenario. You though about staying until the rain stopped, but you had made plans with Kaveh today right after work and hated the thought of leaving him to wait for you without warning.
You sighed heavily as you changed back into your everyday clothes and prepared yourself for the downpour waiting for you outside, you said a quick goodbye to your colleague before heading for the door with a sad expression. The rain was as heavy as a shower or a bucket of water that was being emptied over you, you shivered as the cold outside air made contact with your skin. This was just your luck...
Out in the rain you could see a figure running full speed towards you, you wondered what kind of maniac was outside in this weather - until you recognized him. It was Kaveh! He held a red umbrella to shield him from the rain and wore a jacket that he usually didn't; it was one of your favorite clothing that he owned, but it was usually only on him during colder days like today. Seeing you he ran faster and almost bumped into you as he came to a halt!
“Thank the Archon's! I'm so glad I cought you before you left!” He said with a relieved smile.
“You came to get me?” You asked in a surprised tone.
He nodded his head as he handed you the umbrella he was holding and stripped off the jacket he was wearing; which he quickly handed to you. He had specifically brought it for you...
“Of course! I thought you probably didn't think to bring an umbrella with you today, so I couldn't possibly let you walk home and get yourself sick from this weather!” He said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Kaveh helpped you put on his jacket before smiling proudly when seeing you in his clothing; it was warm and smelled like him, the fabric was also incredibly comfortable. Everything about it made you feel so incredibly touched... The fact that he came to get you to make sure you didn't get soaked from the rain to bringing you his jacket and looking so proud when you wore it. You couldn't help, but to burst into tears from the sheer kindness and sweetness - the love and thoughtfulness.
Seeing you cry made Kaveh panic and instantly ask if you were okay, he asked if he did something that made you upset and if there was anything he could do to help you while still keeping the umbrella over you to cover you from the rain. It probably made you cry harder seeing him be so frantic and stumble over himself trying to calm you down - he was too cute for his own good! He was just too kind and caring of a human being that it was bound to make you burst into tears one day.
“I'm sorry, you're just too sweet!” You sobbed.
“Wha... What?” Kaveh asked in confusion.
“You're so sweet and kind! It's making me feel so loved!” You cried louder.
“Honey, I don't know what to say...” Kaveh laughed lightly while looking a bit bashful.
“You're also too cute!” You covered your eyes with your hands and continued to cry.
Kaveh stepped closer and pulled you in for tight hug, his hand was wrapped around your back, while the other was steadily holding his umbrella over you both. He let you cry your fill against his shoulder; with his hand running up and down along your back in a comforting manner. By the time you were finished crying rain had calmed down a bit to a pleasant soft shower.
Kaveh let go of you gently and wiped away the remaining tear stains from your cheeks, you both lightly laughed about the situation. Being this close you noticed how his eyes sparkled with so much love that you couldn't help, but lean in for a short yet sweet kiss. After you separated Kaveh held up the umbrella between you and encouraged you to place your hand over his; not only to adjust the umbrella so that it was comfortable for you, but also to hold your hand as he walked you home.
Tumblr media
A/N: Hii, I'm doing well and thank you for asking Anon <3 Hope you're doing well too; remember to stay hydrated! Thank you so much for the request btw, your words are so kind! I really hoped you liked this, but if you didn't feel free to request again ^-^ I spent a lot of timing thinking which character to pick, but in the end Kaveh felt like the obvious choice lol I will soon be posting request rules - incase you or anyone else would like to request something in the future!

Summary: La Signora's frozen heart may yet be melted by love she did not expect...
Pairings: La Signora/Rosalyne x Child!reader - platonic!
Notes/warnings: Completely gender neutral! Poc friendly! Likely ooc characters! Signora dies, but isn't dead lol Purely fictional and thus might not be or meant to be lore accurate! Possible grammar errors!
Tumblr media
La Signora was a cold woman with an even colder heart, but at the same time she burned brighter and hotter than any flame or fire. The deep loss she had gone through had thoroughly frozen her heart with ice colder than Snezhnaya and no matter what it needed to remain that way. She needed to remain cold and cruel to avoid attachments, love and anything else just as stupid. Even a single crack could destroy the barriers that she haf placed to surround her heart.
She didn't believe anything could do so, not until she met you... Like her, you were a victim of incredible sorrow and pain. Everything you knew and loved had been destroyed, leaving you as the only survivor covered in the blood of those you loved. As she looked down at your quivering form she could feel something she wanted to lable as pity, but truthfully it was more akin to sympathy. It was a disgusting feeling, but she of all could understand the loss you felt.
"What are you called child?" She questioned.
You stared up at the tall blonde woman, your vision was blurred by the tears gathered in your eyes. You managed to somehow mutter out the words to tell her your name, though you couldn't understand why she had asked in the first place... You couldn't think or function properly, not after all you had just gone through.
"I am called Signora, but you may call me Rosalyne. I will give you a second chance in life, on the condition you swear loyalty to me and her Majesty the Tsaritsa. What say you?" She looked at you with expectation.
You stayed silent for a moment as you thought about your options, there weren't many in the first place... You never once averted your eyes from her intimidating gaze which impressed both you and her. With the tiny bit of confidence you had you managed to answer her.
"I swear!" You meekly shouted.
The woman hummed in acknowledgement before snapping her fingers loudly, a fatui agent approached you with a cloth to cover your shivering body. You immediately cluthed it closer and wrapped it around yourself tighter. The woman carefully approached you and helpped you stand on your quivering feet. Her gloved hand pressed against your back gently guiding you away to your new life...
It wasn't easy in the beginning. Rosalyne wasn't exactly familiar with taking care of a child or emotionally prepared to do so, you had only just began to crack the ice that buried her feelings. After what you had gone through you desperately craved yet feared affection and you weren't ready to receive it from a complete stranger. But little by little you both took steps to grow closer and form trust between each other.
Though she was still the cold-hearted Harbinger La Signora, she would be more gentle and loving towards you. In private she preferred you call her by her real name, but asked you not to do so in front of others - she wanted it to be a thing between you two! Even if others knew her by that name they wouldn't dare act all friendly and call her that in front of her face.
Though the Fair Lady was someone to be feared and respected, a part of her heart had still persisted through all she had been through. Only you could ever melt and slowly mend her eons ago broken heart... She spoiled you rotten, yet you always remained humble and kind.
"Could I get a pony?" You innocently asked while kicking your feet back and forth.
"Whatever you would like." Her long fingers threaded through your hair affectionately.
She didn't see a point in not giving you everything you desired as long as it was within her capabilities, which everything you could possibly want was. In her eyes you deserved the world, you deserved a better world than this. As long as this world and she existed you would get everything you wanted until she could finally give you the greatest gift of a new world. Her love for you only strengthened her faith and loyalty to the Tsaritsa and her noble cause.
Even more so she so rarely got to see you due to her work and traveling all over Teyvat. Both of you hated the time you were apart, but it only made the time you did spent together all the more special. Her molten butterflies surrounded you to shield you from the unforgivable coldness of Snezhnaya during her absence. At least one would stay by your side at all times, just in case and also to help with your loneliness.
Every time you parted ways you eagerly awaited her return. She would come home to you with souvenirs and stories of where she teaveled that time. You refused to let go of her until you fell asleep and your grip loosened enough for her to separate from you. She didn't go far however, on those nights she would lay beside you just basking in your comforting presence until she too fell asleep.
But just like before your happiness was ripped away from you... Your world returned to being dark and cold as the molten butterfly lost its fire and fell into the pure white snow beside you. Carefully you scooped up the poor thing in your cold palms, not knowing what to do as it slowly disintegrated into ash and was blown away by the icy wind. Something was wrong and you knew it, you just couldn't fully comprehend at that moment what it was. But your heart mourned already, making tears run down your cheeks and fall into the snow below you.
It wasn't much longer until it was announced that La Signora - the 8th of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers, had in fact been defeated in battle. There wasn't even a body left to bring back to Snezhnaya for a proper burial. You were left either inconsolable or emotionally paralyzed with your mood alternating between the two and changing even without a trigger. This time no one would come to save you from your grief like she did...
The Harbingers were at a loss with you, some were even slightly frightened by your constant mood changes and episodes. Even the ones who had experience with children didn't know how to comfort you. You were alone and cold, hoping this was a terrible nightmare that you would soon wake from and be greeted by Signora who would cradle you in her arms until you fell back to sleep with her beside you.
But that hope was quickly destroyed by the sight of her icy coffin. Everything suddenly became all too real as you threw yourself against the rock hard surface and layed your cheek against the cold surface as tears rolled down from your eyes uncontrollably. None of the present Harbinger's uttered a word as they watched and or listened to your wails of agony and loss.
That changed however, due to Pierro's presence the Harbingers asked or ordered you to move away so that this meeting could be brought to an end. Stubbornly you refused to part from the coffin of the person who you had come to think of as a mother, your tiny hands clutching to it tightly as your tears continued to fall against your cold cheeks. You incoherently sobbed to not take you away as the Harbinger placed their hands on your violently shaking figure.
"Let the child mourn for a while longer, their tears are shed instead of ours." Pierro ordered with his deep and commanding voice.
The Harbinger removed their arms without protest and stepped back in respect. Peirro said what needed to be said in honor of his fallen comrade without minding your heartbreaking sobs. He didn't think anyone beside himself would mourn her for even a moment if she were to pass, he was glad he was mistaken - even if it meant you would be left behind to miss her.
Long ago, Rosalyne had come to him and asked him to take you under his wing should anything happen to her. Had anyone else asked this of him he would have refused it immediately, but for her he would make an exception. She always spoke highly of you and in an affectionate way like a mother, never had he seen her speak of someone in that way so he agreed. He never expected that day to come that he would have to keep his promise, at least not quite this soon when you were still so young...
Suddenly you raised your head up from the icy surface that was Signora's final resting place. Your glossy eyes stared upwards with wonder making each and every present Harbinger follow the direction of your gaze. The soft sound of wings flapping and faint red glow was all some needed to hear to guess what it was that you were looking at before their eyes landed on it.
A single hellfire butterfly landed upon your tiny outstretched finger, it's presence telling you all you needed to know. You were not alone and she was not gone, it was only a matter of time and patience until you would be reunited. Not even death can drown her flames, the ashes and embers will smoulder ever brighter...

Summary: "Regretting the past is useless and pointless." - that's what Alhaitham had always thought, but even he regretted something from his past. Rather someone...
Pairings: Alhaitham x Gn-Reader!
Warnings/Notes: Reader is completely gender neutral and not described in any way so poc friendly! Possibly ooc Alhaitham! Fluff & Angst! Possible grammar errors that you are free to point out <3
Tumblr media
Regrets were a very normal part of any humans life, but Alhaitham always believed them to be a completely pointless waste of time. Why spent time regretting the past? There is nothing that can be done to change or erase the past so it's best to just move on and forget about it. He and all other mortal beings had plenty of other things to do rather than mourning time that has passed. But it seemed even he regretted something from his past, or rather someone...
He didn't even know your name and he never got to... He had met you while moving to his favorite spot to quietly read while in-between classes, a place that was usually completely empty with him excluded. He was able to enjoy the fresh air and good weather under a shade while reading undisturbed, truly a haven for him.
But then he saw you... You were sitting there with a book in hand and a soft smile on your lips as you scanned over the words written on thin pages you occasionally flipped over. He thought about turning heel and going elsewhere since he wasn't looking for a conversation or a disturbance while on break, but for some reason decided to just stay and read along with the stranger.
You noticed him of course and offered a polite smile which he returned with a simple dismissive nod, to his complete surprise you turned your gaze away and simply continued to read without engaging in conversation like he had expected in the beginning. He wasn't complaining at all over it - he was infact relieved that you dived your nose back into your book instead of bothering him with pointless small talk. He let out a hum of satisfaction before doing the same and flipping open his book.
From that day onward he would find you there reading on more days than not and you would always smile at him in greeting, but never spoke a word to him. He would greet you back with his signature quick nod and sit down to read like you weren't even there. But the longer this interaction went on the more he found himself paying attention to you...
Paying attention to what color your hair or eyes were, what distinct features you had like freckles, moles, scars and so on. How you styled your hair that day or what clothing you wore, the accessories you had and how you wore them or simply what book you were reading. If he happened to come across the same book you were reading he would pick it up out of curiosity no matter if it was his preferred genre or something he was personally interested in.
Sometimes when going through the many shops of Sumeru while shopping or simply browsing he would find himself thinking of you when a certain color, clothing or accessory reminded him of you... A particular necklace that suited your style in his opinion had especially caught his eye. He wondered if you would like it, but quickly shook the thought away and continued on with his day while trying to forget such a thought ever crossed his mind.
He soon noticed that he looked forward to seeing you each day and reading silently with you despite not knowing your name or anything at all about you. Maybe that was why he was so curious about you, at least that's what he would tell himself when thinking about you. He would never admit to anyone - even himself that it took him longer than normal to fall asleep as his mind was filled with thoughts of you...
He wasn't one to long for others company so you were quite peculiar to him. He theorized another reason that he was so interested in you was that you ignored his presence in favor of your books like him - even after you noticed his presence you would simply wordlessly yet kindly acknowledge him before returning to your book.
At some point he decided to be completely honest with himself and recognize the growing feelings he had for the stranger whose name he didn't know. He wasn't familiar with feelings like these, being romantically interested or attracted to another was completely foreign to him, but he could understand that there was no denying that it was the case for him.
He would be lying if he said that having to research such things didn't utterly embarrass him! But he was a rational man and simply convinced himself that this was a normal thing most human beings would experience at least once in their life. Still, he wasn't sure if a relationship was something he himself or you were interested in, but the rational next step was to finally introduce himself and ask you your name.
The next day he arrived around the time he always did, but to his surprise you weren't at your usual spot. It was uncommon, but sometimes he would arrive before you. He didn't know what your daily schedule consistent of since he didn't know what your occupation was, but you always arrived there at some point to read - sometimes you even took a nap in-between books.
Alhaitham didn't think too much about it before sitting down and opening his book to kill some time before you arrived. But you didn't. You never arrived that day. It was highly unusual as Alhaitham couldn't remember a day where he didn't see you... Since he knew literally nothing about you he simply accepted that you had a life of your own that had prevented you from coming there that day, or you just felt like doing something else with your time. Either way you would surely arrive tomorrow like any other day.
But you didn't, nor did you come the day after that. It confused Alhaitham deeply, perhaps you were away visiting family or something of the sort? He continued to believe this for days and weeks, until they slowly turned into endless months. At that point he would have been incredibly foolish to think you were ever coming back.
"Regretting the past is useless and pointless." But he did truly regret never getting to know you. He also regretted not knowing what happened to you... One day you were there beside him reading for hours upon hours in a comfortable silence and next he never saw you again. He knew and preached about how useless regret was, but he regretted all the time he spent with you without getting to know you.
He hated that that when he lost focus his mind was filled with questions about you, like what your name was or what kind of person you were. He believed you could tell what kind of person someone was based on the books they read, but despite reading and knowing each book you had read from front to back he still wasn't sure what kind of person you were...
His one and only regret in life was you. He still carried with him the necklace that had caught his eye that day at the market, he had gone back to get it a few days later. Even after years have passed and seasons changed he still thought of you, he wondered if you ever thought of him too? Or was he just another faceless stranger to you that you have long forgotten about after leaving Sumeru City behind...

Summary: As the Traveler finally enters the long awaited land of Cryo Childe offers bring them and Paimon to meet his family! Including his heavily pregnant wife of whom they were never told about...
Pairings: Childe/Tartaglia x Fem-Reader!
Notes/Warnings: Fem-reader! Reader is pregnant! Poc friendly! Reader is not described beyond being a woman and pregnant! Traveler pov! Travel is not specified! Fluff! Possibly ooc characters? Possibly not lore accurate! Short! Not proofread!
Tumblr media
Friendship with Childe had definitely been something out of the norm... When fighting against each other the Traveler felt he truly was trying to kill them, but afterwards he would simply smile and call them his best friend. It was hard to figure him out since he always swore undying loyalty to the Tsaritsa and recognized them as enemies, yet he called them his "Comrade" and asked them to come visit his family once reaching Snezhnaya.
Which is where he was currently heading... The Traveler wasn't sure what to expect since it would be crawling with Fatui agents, but they doubted Childe would use his family against them. At least they hoped so... His family was what he valued most of all and Teucer liked them very much, they had even made the promise to him! Still, they kept their guard up until they arrived at the harbor with Childe and a very excited Teucer next to him.
“Welcome to Snezhnaya at last, Traveler! I brought Teucer along since he was too exited to wait at home and I thought you'd be more comfortable this way.” He grinned widely.
Teucer was excited to show off everything this side of Snezhnaya had to offer, including his favorite places to order food - which Paimon appreciated after the long and tiring journey to the land of Cryo. To stick it to Childe they weren't shy about buying souvenirs since he insisted on paying for everything since they were guests of his. He might have slightly regretted making such an offering to people who held a grudge against him despite all his attempts of making friends...
“It's starting to get a bit late... We should hurry home before the others die of frostbite while waiting for us.” Childe joked, but looked serious enough for the others to agree.
His home was nice and large, which was to be expected since he had so much money and had another Harbinger looking after his family when he couldn't. Still it seemed modest, but fit for a family of their size - perhaps even larger than they needed, but the Traveler wouldn't judge them for it.
Their attention was soon brought to two older kids running towards them until they crashed into Childe. Paimon was slightly freaked out by the suddenness of it, but soon relaxed seeing them happily greeting their brothers. The Traveler and Paimon smiled at the heartwarming scene, but were taken aback once again by a young woman rushing over as well... Only she was heavily pregnant. She was too young to be their mother, but too different looking to be their sibling.
“Ajax, you're back! I was starting to get worried - the baby too!” You gently slapped his arm for taking so long to come back.
“...” The Traveler and their companion were stunned to complete silence.
“I'm sorry, but there's nothing to worry about! Look - I even brought your favorite snack since you've been craving it.” He gently handed over the present and caressed your cheek.
“Huh...?” Was the only thing the traveling duo could manage to mutter.
“Hmp, fine! I'll forgive you this time since they've been craving it for a while.” You said whille caressing your belly.
“So, have they or the baby caused you trouble?” He placed his hands on your belly next to yours.
“Huh?” They questioned again.
“The kids have been very good and extra helpful today, but our baby has been a bit restless. They get it from you no doubt about it.” You teased.
“Huh?!” Their jaws just about reached the floor with how low they hung from shock.
“Hahaha! They're going to be a fighter like daddy for sure!” Childe laughed loudly while feeling his baby kick.
“HUH?!” They finally screamed making everyone turn to the pair with confused expressions.
“Oh, yeah! Traveler, Paimon this is my lovely wife and my other siblings - Anthon and Tonia!”
“How come you never told us anything about you having a wife before?!” Paimon screeched.
“Must have slipped my mind or just not come up in conversation before?” He shrugged casually as if it was no big deal while the two were still trying to wrap their heads around any of this.
“How come anyone would even marry you? Are you blackmailing her or holding her hostage?!” Paimon continued her interrogation.
“Hey, hey! No way! Not that I could anyway, when she wasn't pregnant she could beat me in fights when I was barely holding back! She's terrifying!” Childe quickly answered.
“Excuse me?” You glared halfheartedly at your husband. “I could still beat you while pregnant.”
“See?” He turned to look at Paimon while gesturing at you.
“Huh, I see... Still, I can't believe she would marry you!” Paimon crossed her arms.
“Yeah, I'm a lucky man indeed.” He smiled softly at you making Paimon feel slightly bad about her accusations.
“Honestly his siblings were too cute for me to say no.” You joked.
Childe held a hand over his heart with his face twisted in pain, “You wound me!”
The group were soon called in for a large home cooked dinner, no matter how stuffed they were from their earlier trip the Traveler and Paimon couldn't help but dive in. The food was absolutely delicious and the company made it even better! Throughout the dinner the traveling companions kept taking glances at the married couple and how Childe truly doted on his wife...
No matter the Traveler's true feelings about their "friend", Childe truly loved his family and cared about them - even if he had done terrible things and was affiliated with some questionable people. The Traveler hoped he would live to see his child grow up considering the Foul Legacy and how it shortened his life... The Traveler wondered if you knew about it or if you should.
Tumblr media
A/N: Not especially proud of this one, but it's something short and a bit different since it's from the Traveler's pov! Likes, feedback and or reblogs are appreciated <3

For some reason Kaveh had always had the ability to attract animals of all kind to him. At first he didn't mind as he very much liked animals, but it became a real problem and a nuisance for him later on... He'd simply step outside for a break or something of the sort and soon enough birds, dogs and cats would begin swarming him for his food or affection - of course he would feel bad for them and give in to their demands...
After a thorough talking to by Alhaitham he begrudgingly listened and would avoid places where pets or wildlife gathered. It felt stupid having to avoid animals that meant no harm to him, but he understood Alhaitham's point and knew he would just give in again. Any pets that would approach him in the city would give up easily when he stood firm and shooed them away. Except for one...
This particular cat that had never begged him for scraps and only wanted affection wouldn't leave him alone no matter how much he tried. It was ridiculous really! No matter what route he took the persistent feline would always find him and meow at him until he agreed to either pet it or play with it for a while. No matter what he did he couldn't get rid of it, he was out of options since splashing it with water just seemed cruel.
The cat was definitely well taken care of and even had a collar that was clearly custom or homemade by its owner. It was a healthy rounfd and it's fur was well kept - then why was the cat so keen on him? It didn't seem interested in the scraps he would sometimes give to distract it, but instead it just wanted some belly rubs and a playmate. It was truly bizarre...
“Meow!”
“Oh no, it's you again! Listen I don't have time to just play with you all the time!” He tried to hopelessly explain to the clueless animal.
“Meow?”
“I'm serious! You need to find someone else to beg for pets. Why don't you go find your owner?” He exclaimed in frustration.
“Meow.”
“I know you probably don't understand what I'm saying, but I don't know what you want from me!” He sighed loudly.
Before he could properly react the cat jumped into his arms and stole the feather placed in his hair. The cat was quick to jump away before Kaveh could hold onto him and caused him to fall down in the commotion. Baffled he turned to look at the cat that was just watching him with the colorful feather secured in it's mouth. It slowly began to run away with Kaveh scrambling to chase after it.
It was truly a sight for others to see the blonde shouting and running with full speed chasing a cat... Some didn't react at all while others watched in either confusion or amusement, but no one did anything to aid the poor man despite his shouts for help.
The feline rounded one last corner before finally stopping much to Kaveh's relief. He followed after to see the cat facing away from him and meowing at someone standing in front of it. His eyes wandered upwards until they reached the face of the person and he couldn't tear his eyes away...
The midday sun made your features glow beautifully as if you were an angel with a halo, you were standing amidst a flower field making you look ethereal. Was he in a dream? He almost completely forgot about the cat that lead him here in the first place until it let out a loud meow which caused you to pick it up. You noticed the decorative feather in its mouth and carefully remove it without the cat caring in the slightest.
“Would this be yours?” You asked.
He was so preoccupied with your voice to register what you said at first, after an awkward pause he coughed and nodded with an embarrassed look. You didn't seem to mind as you smiled kindly and handed the feather back to him. His cheeks only continued to heat up as his fingers breafly touched yours, they were so warm and soft...
“I'm so sorry for the trouble my cat has caused you.” You apologized with a sincere tone.
“It... It's fine.” He mumbled, he couldn't bring himself to complain to you despite the trouble.
“Is there anything I can do to apologize properly to you?”
“Honestly it's fine! There's no need!” He tried.
“I insist! Please.” You smiled again.
Kaveh couldn't help but give up when you made a face like that, “Okay... Then how about lunch?”
“That sounds good! I'll just quickly take my cat inside and retrieve my mora!” You sprinted off before he could reply.
Kaveh was simply left standing with a flustered expression as he waited for you. He looked down at his hand which held the feather your cat had stolen, thinking about it now he wasn't even mad about it... He noticed you returning and quickly placed it in his long blonde hair without too much thought - which was unlike him.
You were about to say something before stopping and smiling humorously at him, he was confused before you reached out and gently adjusted the feather slightly. Kaveh couldn't tear his eyes away from your face as you were standing so close to him, close enough that he could feel your breath on his skin and smell your scent... He felt almost like a creep for some reason.
“There! It's very beautiful - especially against your blond hair!” You smiled brightly.
“Thank you.” He couldn't help, but smile despite his cheeks burning brighter - if that was even possible at this point.
“Your smile is even more beautiful!” Honestly were you trying to make his heart stop with how wonderful and lovely you were?! But he thanked you regardless.
“So, what should I call you?” That's right he never introduced himself to you or vise versa!
“Kaveh.” He held out his hand for you to shake out of habit.
Before he could pull his hand away you took hold and shook his hand gently while introducing yourself. Once again he was touching your soft and warm skin, though it was embarrassing he didn't want to let go... Your hand felt so nice in his, so lovely against his skin. He held onto your hand longer than appropriate which embarrassed him greatly but didn't seem to phase you thankfully.
Honestly he was thankful for that troublemaker cat you owned and for his strange ability to draw in animals, otherwise he would never have met you. He made a mental note to remember to bring your cat a treat tomorrow. If in the future it happened that the feather fell from his hair and your cat happened to run off with it in your direction... Well he wouldn't be that mad at it for being so mischievous.

Summary: The moment he laid his indigo eyes on you was the moment your fate was sealed, he would have you - no matter what and he would keep you to himself forever no matter how dirty his hands got in the process...
Pairings: Scaramouche/The Balladeer x reader
Notes/Warnings: Reader is completely gender neutral! Poc friendly! Angst! Kidnapping! Forced relationship! Unhealthy relationship! Threats! Isolation! Starvation! Death (not reader or Scara)! Choking!
Tumblr media
The Balladeer was a cruel and selfish man who cared about nothing but himself and his own goals. He didn't care who he had to use, what he had to do, no matter the consequences or the price to pay due to his actions. What he wanted was what he would get no matter what, like a spoiled child but far more dangerous...
It was hard to say what exactly made him take an interest in a nobody like you to the point he would claim you as his own... He was a difficult person to understand, perhaps even he himself couldn't fully understand his own heart. Not that he had one, he wasn't human and that's what made him infinitely more dangerous.
He had just returned to Snezhnaya and the sun hadn't even began rising yet when he met you. You were shivering admits the pure white snow and he was surprised to see you weren't dead yet considering the few layers clothing you were wearing... You looked up at him with eyes that looked so hopeless and dead, tear stains covered your cheeks and your eyes burned red from the tears you had shed.
Perhaps he had seen a part of his past self in you and that's what made him claim you as his own. You had nothing, you were no one with no one. You were the most pathetic thing he had ever seen and he just had to have you - not to save you or anything of the sort, but because he could and wanted to have you as his own. It's not like anyone would complain or try to stop him besides you and who cared what you thought?
All things considered he treated you well enough, at least better than what you thought someone who kidnapped you would treat you. He did have some rules like how you were to accompany him everywhere he went and stay silent unless otherwise told, you would sleep in the same bed as him every night and you were forbidden from talking to other people - especially the other Harbingers.
As long as these were followed you would be rewarded and treated like an actual person. He would punish you for disobeying of course, but not with violence like you would have originally thought. He would instead isolate and starve you until he was satisfied that you had learned your lesson... But as a human being it was incredibly difficult to follow them.
Your eyes had wandered for a split second out of curiosity because the new recruit just happened to stand out, yet it was enough for them and him to notice. The foolish recruit likely hadn't been warned before hand about you so their fate was sealed the moment they acknowledged your existence. They smiled brightly before heading towards you...
You wanted to scream at them to back away - to run away while they still could! You wanted to cry as you knew what was going to happen next, you knew it all too well... The horrified expression on your face made the recruit pause with worry, they didn't know what to do or say. But it didn't matter, nothing they did now could save them from what was to come next.
Your body refused to obey your mind. You wanted to run away and not have to witness what was about to happen, but you were completely frozen in place. Only thing you could do was stand there shaking with tears in your eyes, you turned your head the other way. You didn't want to witness this again. Please, not again...
You felt yourself dissociating from your surroundings, from the entire world. Next thing you knew you were in your shared bedroom with him watching over you. His expression was like one you'd see in nightmares. You knew better than to think he would kill you, but it didn't much make you feel better about any of it. Looking down his hands were still covered in blood... How sickening.
“You'd better beg for forgiveness.” He said in a tone that sent shivers down your spine.
You quietly sat up before getting of off the bed and standing before him, face to face. “Scaramouche...”
You were quickly interrupted by his hand that latched onto your throat, he held on so tight you were unable to speak. “I thought I had made myself clear.”
“How many do I need to dispose of for you to finally understand that you're mine? Or maybe, you actually like it when I kill them?” He smirked.
Something inside you snapped and the tears that had threatened to fall suddenly dissapeared. You were filled with rage, absolute rage in a way you had never felt before. Your hands shook and you glared at him with so much hatred that even he was left speechless. You gripped his hand so hard that he loosened his grip enough for you to speak.
“I am nothing like you.” Your words dripped of venom.
Despite your sudden change of character it wasn't long until he was back to his usual self and seemingly ignored what you previously said, this time he wrapped both of his hands around your throat and backed you against the wall. There was an obvious difference between your strength and his, he was the Sixth Harbinger, a creation made by the hands of an Archon and he wasn't human like you.
“I own you! How many times do I need to tell you this?” He shouted as he squeezed your throat tighter. “You're nothing without me!”
“You may own my body, but you'll never own my heart.” You managed to say back.
“Hahaha! Your heart? Why pray tell would I want something as stupid as your heart?” He mockingly laughed.
“Because you don't have your own.” Your words dug deep.
His hold became tighter and expression turned dark. He was seething, shaking almost from his anger. Never had you got him this angry, but you couldn't care less. The lack of air was making everything hazy, including your thoughts. Slowly you because limp in his hold and lost consiounse...
The Balladeer let go of your throat and instead wrapped his arms around you to prevent you from slamming against the hard floor. Humans were pathetically easy to break, a hit to the head and it was all over for most. Despite everything he still owned you and wouldn't let you break no matter how you pushed him. No matter how many times you tried to attack him or escape, you were his until you breathed your very last breath.
He laid you back down on your shared bed and pulled the covers over your body, he used the back of his hand to caress your cheek gently. He didn't wish to touch you with his still bloodstained fingertips, you needed to remain pure and bloodstainless. When in the comfort of his own chembers away from prying eyes he could let his more tender side out, in his own twisted way he did truly love you.
You didn't act out as much anymore but he did love the fire in your eyes when you did... Just like when you told him what you just did, no one dared to act that way towards him beside you. He wouldn't admit it but you were right - he didn't own your heart, not quite yet. There were moments in the past that he could see apart of you care for him despite everything, the human part of you that had a heart cared for him despite your brain telling you otherwise.
At night he would lay beside you and rest, but he couldn't dream like a human - instead he would see glimpses of his past, his memories. He was shaken awake by you and he could feel tears streaming down his face. He would have lashed out at you for seeing him like that, but the look on your face made him pause... You looked worried, genuinely worried about him.
“I'm fine. Go back to sleep.” He grumbled before turning on his side facing away from you.
Why did you make that face? He would have expected you to laugh and taunt him for being so vulnerable - so pathetic. But you didn't. You were actually worried. No matter how much you hated and despised him the human heart you had couldn't help, but care. He was glad he didn't have a heart, what a stupid thing to have. At least he tried convincing himself that he was glad...
His eyes widened and breath hitched loudly as you wrapped your arms around his body, your body pressed against his back with your face in his hair. He hated how much his face heated up and burned red from your breath hitting his neck, but your body was so warm and comforting against his that he couldn't complain.
You would forgive him soon enough and eventually your heart would give in, you would spent the rest of your life with him - there was no way you could resist him forever...

Summary: Childe knows you're off limits and he would never betray or go against the orders of the Tsaritsa, but he can't help threading the line between the forbidden and safety...
Pairings: Childe/Tartaglia x reader
Notes/Warnings: Gender neutral reader! Poc friendly! Sheltered and innocent reader! Very fluffy! Possibly a teensy tiny bit of angst? Forbidden love? Reader is Tsaritsa's adopted heir! Possibly ooc!
Tumblr media
Childe always loved the thrill of battle and danger, he keot threading the thin line between life and death yet never crossed over it. Anything forbidden he just had to have, that included the most forbidden of all - you. The Tsaritsa's surrogate child was as if not more unobtainable then the Cryo Archon herself.
Due to technically being her kin you were heavily restricted and banned from the outside world. You were rarely if at all allowed outside the protective walls of the palace or outside the watchful eyes of the Fatui. But because it was forbidden it made you want it even more, in that regard you weren't different from Childe in the slightest.
Your unlikely friendship had blossomed after he was assigned as your bodyguard for some time, everyone - including himself thought it was a terrible idea. He was brash and tended to get into trouble often on purpose or over trivial matters. The Archon didn't change her mind though, it was likely that she was actually testing him to see if he was worthy of his title and trust placed in him...
It was quite an eventful time during which he got to know you quite well. He was more casual and friendly than the other Harbingers or basically anyone you had met. He was close to your age too so it was semi easy to bond with him and thus you opened up about your dreams of the outside world. He was more than happy to tell you about any and every nation he had visited.
“I've always wanted to go and see the ocean up close, even by the port would be fine!” You longingly stared into the distance.
“Well that can easily be arranged!” He grinned.
“Oh, um... She wouldn't allow it.” You murmured.
“What she doesn't know can't hurt her, right? C'mon, we'll only be gone for a little while. Everyone's asleep, they won't even notice we're gone!” But you still looked hesitant.
“Life is about taking risks, how about you take your first one? Trust me, you'll regret not giving in.” He held out his hand for you.
You were still hesitant and even a bit scared, but how on Teyvat could you say no to his face? The smile on his face was so pure and real... Something just about nonexistent in the world and people that surrounded you all your life. You weren't naive enough to believe that this side he showed you was the only side to him, but you wanted to believe it was genuine - that he was genuine and true to you.
“Okay, I trust you!” You gently took hold of his gloved hand.
“Then let's go!” He smiled brighter and tugged you along.
You couldn't help but smile as well as you ran through the dark castle hand-in-hand, it was the most thrilling thing to happen in your life! With each step your worries slowly melted away from your thoughts, knowingly going against rules made you feel so incredibly free - more free then you had ever been. It was a dangerous kind of thrill, but it would be only this one time you promised!
Outside running wasn't a possibility as it was heavily guarded and not even the Harbingers were allowed to take you outside of the palace - you yourself weren't allowed to leave without the Tsaritsa or her explicit permission which she would tell the guards of. So sneaking was your only possibility, except you had no experience sneaking or being stealthy at all...
“Childe, I've never snuck out before! I don't know how to not get caught.” You said in a regretful tone.
“Why the sad face? You didn't think I'd already prepared for that?” He laughed lightly.
“What do you mean?” You looked at him in confusion.
He didn't bother explaining, but his wide grin told you to be prepared for absolutely anything to happen... Before you could question him any further he lifted you up into his arms, you yelped in surprise and instantly wrapped your arms around his shoulders. He smirked while shushing you - he definitely did this on purpose! You quietly huffed in annoyance, but quickly let it go as you had other things to focus on.
With Childe carrying you it was easy to sneak past the not so alert guards that were supposed to be guarding the gate and surroundings, but neither of you were complaining. Some distance from the castle he let you down and clutched your hand tightly before running off with you close behind. You couldn't help but relieve the anxiety from a moment ago by giggling loudly which Childe responded to by chuckling as well.
You reached the port in no time with your fast pace and Childe's excellent navigation skills! Though it was barely sunrise people were already moving cargo and preparing to board or leave the ships they arrived on. You were mesmerized by the glowing sunrise in the distant horizon, it reflected against the surprisingly calm sea making it appear even more gorgeous.
“Thank you, Childe.” You said calmly before turning to look at him.
To your surprise he was already looking at you with an expression you had never seen before... His eyes were soft as he gazed at you as was his smile, you never knew he could smile or look at you like that. The expression made your heartbeat faster against your chest, yet you couldn't understand what this meant. Why was he smiling and looking at you like that? Why was your heart suddenly beating so fast? Was it just the remaining excitement from everything?
“No problem.” He casually said before averting his eyes towards the sunrise.
He could see the change in your expression when you looked at him. Perhaps you couldn't understand it, but he had just revealed his true feelings towards you. He was glad you were as dense as you were... It would be terrible for you both if you'd both catch feelings for each other, it was better for him to have them as he understood that no matter what he couldn't have you. He knew that from the beginning and he was fine with it, but he doubted you would be if you were to fall for him.
“As much I'd like to let you stay here until you're finished, we should probably start heading back before someone notices we're gone.” He sadly said.
“You promised no one would notice!” You said in a worried tone.
He pulled you to his chest and lifted you into his arms again, “Then let's make sure they don't!”
You were stunned again, you never knew what to expect from him! He was unpredictable and always caught you by surprise, but perhaps that's what you loved about him. Love, huh? It was a concept you didn't quite understand yet. Sure you loved the Tsaritsa, but it was very different from the kind of love you had only ever read about. Was that what you felt for the 11th Harbinger Tartaglia? Surely not...
You were just happy by his side, you were happy to have him as a friend. He was almost the complete opposite of you or at least how you were taught and raised. He was wild, free and a troublemaker - while you were quiet, well-mannered and often confined inside the castle walls. He could always make you smile no matter how upset you were, he pushed you out of your cage and brought you outside to see the world you were deprived from.
No matter if you loved him or not, you only asked that he remain with you. He treated you like a person, like an actual human. He still recognized the difference in your positions and how he would never be at the same level as you, yet he never let that stop him from treating you like any other person - like how you wanted to be treated. He made your life more lively and colorful, he made you happy...
