To be honest I've put off setting up more wardings. But today was a rough day and I could feel my room lacking the safe, protiective energy I want it to have. So I scraped together a little herb-only cleansing and warding spell. I'll say this spell is based around one room, and it's my bedroom. So I added some things with specific intentions that I wanted in this room all of them could deffinately be switched out for different intent.
Things I used:
Basil- banishing, protection
Bay leaf- protection, purification, strength
Thyme- strength, cleansing, restful sleep
Rose (petals and leaves) healing, tranquility, protection
Matches or lighter
A dish (preferably a shallow bowl or deep plate)
Collect the herbs into a bundle or on a dish that will let it easily burn. Try to add herbs one at a time in layers and visualize the layers of strength building up, getting ready to protect your space. If you have a chant or mantra you want to do, do this while adding the herbs. After theyre all together focus your intent and light the herbs to burn. As they burned cary the dish (or bundle) and carry it throughout your room, letting the smoke clense and add the energies to the room.
After they are burned out or you feel it's suffifiently cleansed, keep the ashes out near the center of the room overnight. Make sure to put out any embers completely, use water to make sure they're all out. While this sits keep in the back of your mind that the barrier you are making is growing and fortifying the space.
In the morning you can add the ashes to an existing ward spell jar to recharge or make it into new ones, keep it for use in other spells, or use the ashes to create sigils for extra warding!

Hello! If you have already been following me, why? I literally have nothing here anymore ( for now) if you've never seen me (very likely) I'd like to introduce myself.
In my practice of witchcraft I go by the name Hala Wonder. I am currently to the point where I dont call myself a baby witch anymore, and am now going with lunar-witch-in-training. I have enough knowlege now that I feel I can begin making, and preforming spells and rituals with moderate success and without freaking out about every detail of a spell like, if I have enough materials, if the materials are correct, etc. Im currently a rural witch, possibly to be an urban witch by the end of this year, and as previously stated, I practice Lunar magic. At least, I'm learning to.
At first I had this blog as a digital grimoire of sorts, but more like a journal. And I did not keep up with it at all. So, I wiped the whole thing and am starting fresh. Instead of journaling I can use this as a hub for things I learn or create, and maybe help a few others find their way into the practice. So if youre new to the practice or just the #witchblr community, hey. I'd like more witchy friends and its kinda hard to make any physically in my area.
Alongside lunar magic, I highly enjoy any type of jar/sachet spells, sigil magic, divination, and crystals. I am still learning and growing my resource collection and of course, my grimoire. I'm working on planning in-depth research on certain topics/types of spells each month and for january I chose cleansing and warding. So if you stick around, that's probably what I'll be posting of for the time being.
So yeah, that's me as of now. I hope I can keep this blog going this time, and hopefully make some friends in the process.
