I like how neither adult Regina nor adult Aleksander looks the kind of character they turn out to be. You start s1 and think: right, so here’s this uppity rich lady in pearls and her shady businessman husband whose vibe is that he’s probably murdered somebody at some point at least once. And they seem to have some sort of beef with the Nielsens whom we must be supposed to root for because they’re Mikkel’s parents. And they’re also the parents of the main character’s friend who sort of stole his girl. They must be the bad guys! And then you watch further, and it turns out they’re the healthiest couple in town and are among the most likeable characters on the show. So by the time it turns out that the husband actually has most probably murdered somebody, you’re like whatever :))) we still love him
