"Marcy Wu... Signing off!"

Thanks for sticking around my Marcy spam again. I had this concept floating around in my head ever since Marcy's Journal was released. Since I got the journal early from TOKYOPOP, I was able to read it and start putting together the idea of older Marcy revisiting her past. Originally I was going to be both the older and younger Marcy. But through the release of the journal I found Bec!

Representation matters. Because of Tokyopop sponsoring Asian Marcy cosplayers, I was able to meet Bec. I am so grateful for the series of events that allowed me to meet new friends and continue being creative.

This shoot happened a year ago and it was a joy to be with my friends to make this vision come true. To my Calamatasians who helped me create the idea, to Zach for putting up with me, and to Bec for agreeing to do this big project.

Boba and cupcakes. The perfect snack for you. This gives you a chance to recollect your thoughts. You have school, orchestra, chess club, a sleepover, and then back to studying. That dungeon is still unfinished so you need to find time in between activities. And Anne’s birthday is coming up! You have to find a gift for her. Aren’t these cupcakes the best? I know you want to bring Anne one for her birthday. Just don’t forget. You would always forget these things. What’s next for you? Oh right! You need to add those bug photos to the scrapbook. It’s going to be so fun to decorate the page. Looks like the cafe is closing soon. Time to go home. Tomorrow is another and another adventure for you.

Whatchu find? Another monster book? A book on lizards? A new chess book on the statistical outcome of different chess strategies? A graphic novel on ramen? Of course you have to read them all! Good thing the library is empty today. You can have the whole table to yourself. You even have a backpack filled with the essentials. Journal, chess board, games, and something to write with. You have time to dip into each book. You can even simulate a chess game for yourself. Pawns at D6 and E6. Knight at F6 and oh geez you did it again. You lost track of time. If you hurry you can go get boba and the last of the red velvet cupcakes on the way back home. Come on, let’s go!

Dungeon’s looking good. You’re almost done! The bugs you found were a big inspiration. They look so cool as new companions and enemies. Your journals are just full of ideas and doodles. You fill it up day by day at any moment. So many mundane moments will become a story when you get older. Just like when you roleplay as an artificer rogue. The side quests are the best part of the story. You even picked out everyone’s dice set. Blue for Anne. Pink for Sasha. And green for you. Looks like you ran out of ideas. Not ideas but information. You still need to be accurate even in fantasy. Well, you had to go to the library anyway. Gotta study for those tests. You’ll just grab a few more books for your other interests.

Did you find another cool bug? You’re going to show Sashy and Anna Banana at this week’s sleepover. Maybe this time they won’t fall asleep at your favorite part. That’s what you hoped. You always found it weird that you would be at the park by yourself. Not a lot of people want to find bugs and take pictures of them. Not a lot of people want to do a lot of the things you like. But you’re almost done with designing that dungeon! That means you can finally play your favorite game with your best friends. Well that’s what you thought. You should go home and write down the new ideas you have. It’s important that you get everything down on pen and paper. Time to get those creative juices flowing!
