The other night, I can home to a glorious sight; #oilymail !! I pushed my #April #essentialrewards order early this month because I just couldn’t wait! Let’s talk about #reallife for a minute here. I love following those mom blogs that show the perfectly placed furniture and home decor, and the clean nursery with gentle, sleeping babies, but let’s be honest: who has time for all of that? My #glamorouswednesday features 6 loads of #laundry getting #washed #dried #folded and put away, all while #bingewatching #netflix. Maybe if I hadn’t waited a few weeks to catch up, I wouldn’t be plowing through it all like I am today, but I’m also #grateful for this #peacefultime to catch up on some shows, but more importantly, I am in desperate need of #metime. So #ladies, fellow #mommies, anyone feeling left out of the #instagramperfect #life, remember, we all have a little #chaos going on, no matter what the #blogs show. This #DIY #revamp was so much #fun! I found two #plaid #ottomans (or #footstools; whatever you call them haha) at a #garagesale for only $5! I already had a #hotgluegun and just bought #spools of #rope from #lowes for about $6 a pack (needed about 2 1/2 spools per ottoman) and simply hot-glued the rope around it! Gives them a #rustic feel and makes our #apartment feel more #homey! Not my #cheapest DIY but definitely worth it! Purchasing ottomans that already #look like those would have cost me at least $30 #each! Hello friends! I am so excited about this devotional for the month of February! I just found it through @herbinderproject and saw it on @jesusineverymoment! I wish I had seen it in January. One of my goals for this year was to build my relationship with God. Such a huge goal to undertake, but I am so excited to see how it changes my life. Little back story, my husband and I actually met when we were in high school. We both attended the same church, and were in the youth group together. My parents switched churches, so we had lost touch, but through the joys of social media, he found me a few years later! I began going back to the church where we met, and it is such an absolute blessing to build our marriage around God. Last year had been pretty difficult, so we are taking this year to forge a path for our family. #devotionals can sometimes seem scary, or hard to fit in to our #crazy #busy #lifestyles, but I can assure you, it is so worth it! Even if it means waking up 20 minutes earlier, or taking part of your lunch in your car, that sweet time with Jesus is everything. Who is else is doing this devotional? Let's chat about it! I started 2017 with the intention that it would be MY year. Hours were spent going over my goals for the year, and my husband and I discussed our plans for our little family this year. My type A personality wishes I could plan every minute of every single day and have no surprises. 2017 laughed at me and we started the year with putting our one and only car in the shop for a new engine. 
God has taken this time to remind me to go with the flow, and to lean on my husband. As we wait for our car to get fixed, I’ve really had time to reevaluate my attitude, and man, did I need an adjustment. 
2017 may have given us a rough first few weeks, but the sun is shining today, and I will not allow a few bumps in the road to dictate the next 11 months. Here’s to you, 2017. Let’s make this a great New Year! #happynewyear #brokencar #itwillgetbetter #justkeepswimming #happyhippodiaries
