I am a artist, and the fact I had to write all this hurts, context: I was looking at a post showing AI "animation" and real animation, and a comment said that digital artists are just as lazy as people who use ai, I will not be saying names for I like to respect peoples privacy, but heres my reaction:

"There is no way I just read this. ok, imagine this, you are taking a test, you have been given permission to take notes during before the test, and use them, so, someone takes notes and does good, their using resources, now, imagine someone else just told another person to do it, now imagine that person who does it didnt even get all the answers right, its cheating, and not even doing a good job at it.

Ai uses others work, smushes it together, and makes basic mistakes that a REAL artist wouldn't. It also takes around the same amount of time drawing digitally and drawing traditionally, this is coming from someone who does both, just some tools such as the fill bucket or blur make it easier.

Im actually drawing, not having something else do all the work for me. If you have enough money to buy a phone or computer to use ai, why dont YOU buy a pencil and paper, huh? But NO, your too lazy and you use ai. Did you remember commissions exist? It helps REAL artist and not the knockoff known as AI. And no, I am not afraid of technology, like I said earlier, I myself, use digital art.

AI isn't even good for the environment! Did you know roughy 16 ounces of CLEAN water, clean water that could be used for drinking, is used to cool the servers per prompt.

And people are accusing REAL artists of using Ai.

Have you noticed that I haven't called the AI images art, or the people who type up prompts artists?

A few days ago I had to take a class on "using ai to make art" instead I wrote an essay on why I don't like AI. And no, I am not one to usually just not do the work in class.

We put so much work into not only each piece, but learning, some have worked years to get at the level of art their at. AI will never replace real artists.
