i need to soapbox about DID more, because its kinda like being trans, you'd think that you'd notice if you had it but that's just cultural osmosis giving a skewed impression, statistically you probably wouldn't. statistically you need to do rigorous work to notice.
#i was abused horribly but everyone ik with did i always felt 'had it worse' so i never entertained the idea#until actually doing a shitton of reasearch and realizing like. oh#it's not the severity it's the reaction#also disorganized attachment is smth to take into account#having nice moments doesn't make the bad moments null it just confuses your brain even more#we need to de-mystify so many disorders and illnesses#did-research.org is great btw i strongly reccomend the website for cohesive info on did/osdd as well as other dissociative disorders
