Two firsts in this photo: 1) first time trying the robe tie curl method; I like how it came out it and will likely try it again. And 2) first -and last- time using FaceTune. I'm sharing both the original and doctored images in the interest of authenticity. I know that for many the two images won't look that different. I understand that I have been conditioned by capitalism and the patriarchy to value certain arbitrary traits, and that judging myself harshly within that framework keeps harmful systems alive. It's an ongoing process to identify that conditioning; to see past the "imperfections" and embrace the weird and natural processes of the body.
