Hey, I saw you talking about some stuff about Medb hating Blackbeard, not that I don't believe you, but could you provide sone sauce on that? I'm actually RPing Medb in a server with someone who has Blackbeard as a character they RP, and I wanted to know more about it for future interactions.

In Summer ServantFest, one of the first things Blackbeard mentions is that he wants to creep on Medb while she sunbathes but says that she’d kill him for doing so. He follows up with the statement saying he wouldn’t mind dying doing something he loves. Considering that Medb usually wants peoples attention under her terms and control, it’s kind of telling that she doesn’t like his sort of invasive attention

He only ends up “dislikes her” in the event when he hears that his crew members become fans of hers, which is kinda on brand with otaku/stans being weird about their idols and other men, not necessarily anything about her specifically. Especially because he oddly refers to her “thicc thighs” (which she does not have) in the same sentence

In the Not so Valentine event, she is outwardly hostile to him the entire time. Like she knows his name, says his name, and then forgets it because she doesn’t remember the name of anyone she doesn’t care about. She only refers to him as some variant of “Guy with the Beard.”

The way they’re kinda written is reminiscent of incel attacking an idol/influencer after finding out she’s taken or that she did something that isn’t “seiso.” It’s kind of at an angle of where the reader is supposed to (?) view Blackbeard more favorably because of the push of him being a funny bro character with “gotcha” zingers/straightman reactions, and Medb is the independent/bitchy character

In conclusion, Medb probably wouldn’t like any character that’s portrayed to be a creepy archetype of some sort like Gilles, Blackbeard, Columbus, K/yohime, etc. Actually she’s offhandedly praises K/yo and T/mamo for looking after themselves but mentions them having a creepy grin when talking about Master. But Blackbeard is the only one who we know for a fact that she doesn’t like

However, a lot of people can be ooc when they’re roleplaying anyways, so it really doesn’t matter too much when you’re doing it with friends and acquaintances in the grand scheme of things. I’m sure that there’s a bunch of Blackbeards that wanna write him more seriously, or at least, not as creepy as they occasionally do in canon. It’s a matter of what how you guys wanna frame it I suppose

I personally would like to contest Blackbeard being King of the Straights on account of the furry doujin scene in Summer 3, where he specifically points out and admires the big anthro bear Fergus that you and the rest of the doujin team designed. That moved him squarely into bi territory for me.
