ok hear me out. ruinene cover of this song. it could very well be a huge flop bc i feel like it would be quite difficult to properly capture the insane vocals of kaito & luka (esp in the chorus) but like. if it hit it would HIT. i think rui’s voice could actually fit quite well in here, and nene’s would work too… tbh imo its all just up to if they could nail the chorus

anyone else waiting desperately for pjsekai to properly unpack that tsukasa made his sekai alone or is it just me

because like mafuyu making the empty sekai is one of the driving forces for n25 (especially in the main story) but with tsukasa and the wonderland sekai it’s always only ever really mentioned in passing if at all? like the wxs main story focuses on tsukasa recovering his repressed memories/feelings in regards to why he wanted to become an actor but aside from that it’s never really made that important? 

and given the only other instance of a single person creating a sekai is mafuyu it feels strange that with tsukasa it hasn’t been given that same level of focus

SPOILERS FOR CURTAIN CALL

dude i’m never gonna recover from the fact that rui was literally going to leave wxs if asahi hadn’t stopped him— and he WASNT GONNA TELL THEM BEFOREHAND EITHER …

very interesting to see that rui prioritizes logic over his feelings. he still made that choice even though it made him feel physically sick to imagine leaving wxs the day before. he put the logical choice of pursuing his dream, before his feelings of wanting to stay on the wonderstage which, ow. also, i love the touch in ‘what is the ending you wish for’ where rui says “can i even call this a dream when it’s followed by so much pain” because he’s AWARE of what he’s doing to himself 🥲

also continuing on the talk of what is the ending you wish for i LOVEEE the line at the beginning where he says “don’t wither, don’t drop it, the bouquet of flowers i hold close to my heart” because, we can assume this bouquet is meant to be wxs or at least the feelings surrounding them. but, despite being the one who ever so desperately doesn’t want to let go of wxs, HES the one who drops it. when he chooses arcland, he’s dropping that bouquet. also, “hesitation and bewilderment are proof that i’ve always dreamed of being there” , to me that feels like we’re calling back to anniv event, where rui was talking about how he tried to make himself believe that loneliness was enough. and that he didn’t want to think about how this wasn’t what he truly wanted. the pain that the idea of leaving wxs brings him, is his proof that he never wanted to be alone. he wanted people who saw and loved him for who he is, and now he has that. so he’s come to terms with the fact that wxs is where he’s always wanted to be, no matter how much he tried to ignore it.
