please spread word about whats happening in bangladesh

students were peacefully protesting for safe roadways and the bangladesh chhatre league (BCL or the students league at Dhaka University) has assaulted, raped and killed students. bangladesh is hiding all reports of it by citizens on social media by deleting their profiles and posts and even turning off mobile networks. dhaka tribune is the only news site able to consistently update. local outlets arent updating out of fear for their safety

this is a reddit post by a bangladeshi student currently in singapore. he isnt able to get ahold of friends or family because the internet in bangladesh is currently at less than *2 kb per second*. (the link in this post is the article linked above)

parts of the BCL have been helping protestors but its very small as the majority is working against them and assaulting them.

norway, sweden and the uk have started reporting on this but it’s not enough.
