Answered this from Husk’s perspective and... damn.

I do have some thoughts on this. Empathy... I can see it! He may deny it, but you’ve seen his interactions with Angel on Insta, he’s got at least a bit of a soft heart, he’s there for Angel in his own grumpy way. His compassion is there, even if it’s very repressed. And altruism... he did let Angel keep most of his money, and he’s done a few nice things. Mostly it’s not his thing, though. Psychopathy also makes sense to me, look at who he’s bound to. Al’s gonna fuck with your head after a while, and Husk’s probably very desensitized as a result of being around him. Machiavellianism has pretty much the same reasoning. Husk is anything but a narcissist, this man can fit so much self hatred in him. His self esteem is practically nonexistent.  I think this is pretty accurate! It definitely fits my portrayal of Husk, he might be bad enough to end up in hell but he’s a bit of a softie really. Just a little bit, though.

I’ve been seeing this a lot lately, so... Angel may need to get far, far away from Val, but that doesn’t mean he needs to be saved from doing sex work. It’s a respectable position and he either needs a better boss or to take matters into his own hands.

“Thanks for your help Husk.” She beamed at the bartender as they got the lights and decorations up around the bar. The lights were soft so they wouldn’t hurt anyones eyes and she had ordered more alcohol to make sure they would have enough for the holidays.

“You sure you want those near the bar? One fight breaks out and those things’re broken. Or lodged in someone’s face.” He raised an eyebrow, carefully landing next to her. He didn’t want anything expensive of hers getting ruined.

“Ah, don’t mention it. Don’t need anyone falling off a ladder.” Husk could easily fly up to place the higher decorations, and he figured the least he could do was help her out. “Last thing this place needs is someone breaking their neck, after all. Especially around the holidays.”

He gave a nod, and set to work. He was usually pretty lazy, but he didn’t mind cleaning when there was nothing to do. “Don’t know how you can do this shit every day.” Especially when people were out getting into fights and then tracking all sorts of stuff inside.

“Good point! Still! I’m glad for your help!” Niffty chirped, grabbing another mop and handed it to the cat demon. “I’ll take this side and you can take the other! That way we can get it done more quickly. But if it looks like I need to reach a higher spot I’ll let you know!”

“Thanks for helping me out, Husk!” Niffty smiled gratefully at the cat demon. She wasn’t expecting Husk to help her out with a couple of her chores but she still was pleasantly surprised either way. It was good timing too, she could use a little help mopping down the lobby. “These floors can get so filthy!”

Husk’s favourite Christmas song would probably be Fairytale of New York. It’s not all lovey-dovey (the whole way through, anyway), but it’s not straight up depressing, and it’s pretty fun to listen to. He’d probably like that it doesn’t shy away from problems in relationships, cause you know what couples get like at Christmas. I think he’d enjoy it a lot!
