Thanks to my friend, I realized one thing, perhaps obvious to some: Cazador was never a spawn, he was always a true vampire. There is no mention in the game that Cazador was a spawn plus there's no mention of Vellioth being his master. He was most likely an apprentice to Vellioth and a member of the coven. Not for nothing does Vellioth's skull tell us of his "lessons" while Cazador himself dictates the "rules" to his spawns. And it is absolutely standard for dnd, when vampires live in several pieces, otherwise what kind of coven is it? (Why Cazador lives alone is a mystery to me, since even Astarion threatens to kill all the coven members in the first act. Say hello to cut content). One more thing: Cazador tried to rebel against Vellioth. How would he have done that if he were a spawn? Lots of questions. In any case, he was punished, but not for the fact of rebellion itself... for failing. He wasn't ready to take over as head of the coven. Logically, Cazador should not have been a scion, given his status and affiliation with the Szarr family. This theory might explain how Cazador managed to kill Vellioth: at some point the apprentice got the upper hand on the mentor, that's all. "What is family, if not the monsters we are obliged to love?"

Kissing was something that he loathed over the last 200 years. Something that he learned to do well to get strangers to follow him to bed. But with you, it was so much different. He actually enjoyed the closeness, the feel of you. The way you tasted, the way your breath would hitch. Kissing just for the sake of kissing and not having it lead to anything else. And when his fangs accidentally brushed your lips, there was no fear that you were going to push away from him. Running away over the realization of what he was, like others had before you.

You simply stayed and kissed him back.
