I got hit with some homework so I didn't have time to work on the guy, hopefully I have extra time and motivation tomorrow.
I also would like to address the fact that this post does not really need to be made, no one is eagerly waiting for the next iteration of my wizard. If it takes two days no one will bat an eye.
I have been trying to post at least once a day for this month because I can struggle with consistency and social media, so if I make a nothing post like today and yesterday's, feel free to disregard it as it's more for a personal thing.

Today I worked on re-uving my wizard, but I'm starting to doubt whether or not I'm doing it right.
I didn't have time to finish the process fully but hopefully I'll have something better to share tomorrow.

Today I'm just posting a screenshot instead of a render. I properly modeled the hair/beard in a more proper way. Now I'll have to UV again which I wanted to do anyway, and then texture again also.

I decided to try adding hair and a beard and I fear say its a really good look. I will have to do extra work to get it integrated into the model and UV'd properly, but I think its worth it.

Ok so I got some rough textures in. I'm pretty happy with the skin but I'd consider the robe/hat a work in progress.
This also has me thinking that maybe he needs some sort of hair and/or a beard.
I did also have to re-uv a couple things (cones are wonderful shapes) and so my beautiful map probably isn't as optimal as it once was, but I think that's ok.

Today I UV unwrapped my little wizard. I didn't exactly know what I was doing, but i think i did a decent job. I didn't have time to fully texture the guy, but I drew a lot of smiley faces to prove a point.

Little Wizard with some upgrades
so I changed up some of the design (brim of the hat, collar) and i quite like him. Had to use some ominous lighting to show everything off. I'm also quite happy with the topology although I have no idea if its actually correct.

Here is a new screenshot of the office in the house I'm making for my game
after so many hours I finally got global illumination to work and I think it looks so much better but it's so finicky
I'm also having problems with the way I'm sorting the different colours that I managed to hide for this screenshot and that's really a future me problem, but boy will I ever hate myself in the future :')
