sometimes i get tags like ''i love ur art style op'' and its on a post where iv only drawn like that once and its just that art and never again so i picked one of them and tried to recreate it but it was actually pretty hard ... i dont remember what i was doing in the original but i felt kind of goofy having my own art out as a reference and struggling to imitate it agn like. lmao. i struggled so much with the eyes the amount of times i redrew resized and repositioned ado!anthy's eyes alone .................. falls down the stairs

i hav an extension that hides all follower counts n notification #s bc of my anxiety n compulsions but sometimes it lags and flashes before it hides them and the # i saw on hellohomura n it gav me whiplash so i turned it off to go see if i saw it right and went to helloanthys ............ hellohomura started as a joke but its grew a lot faster than i thought it would and its catching up to this blog by 2/3 in like a month .... ik its bc i forgot how much more popular pmmm is bc idk kno anything 🤡 but now my concern is how do i convert all these people to utenawatchers and homuraheads into anthy stans ..................................

tried to magical girly her a bit more 😸 i drew her pulling her sword out at first but i think in a traditional magical girl setting her weapon would be long range and she'd be more of a support type than a dps character so uh ... actually what did i ... what is that. help. um i think i decided shes pulling out a wand or the handle of a rose barbed whip but i already drew that for a revue starlight design somewhere ....... anyway !! her powers would be similar to whats shown in the anime and manga ... like sealing/putting you in stasis, illusionment/enchantment, summoning weapons, power enhancement, animal/plant manipulation, nullification. i think her main fighting style would be deflection/rebounding attacks thru portals maybe she defeats monsters/enemies by sealing them in a glowy summoning circle and they sparkle out of reality as a final move and when asked at the beginning where they go she givs an explanation of putting them to sleep and delivering them to a realm of dreams to bring them peace to avoid depicting outright death to a pg audience but its later revealed where they actually go is inside her heart/soul gem where she summons things from and she takes on all their pain instead so her body is basically a gu jar of trauma and every weapon she summons is actually forged from every weapon ever used against her that she sealed so like basically canon right but the addition that now her heart is full of prisoners and demons and whatever and shes tortured by their dreams at night when she sleeps. maybe her power enhancement for damage assists are fueled by all the agony and resentment shes collected inside her. but as a divine warrior of justice it is her heavenly duty to suffer for the sake of protecting others and bringing balance to the world through the righetous path blah blah blah a million swords of hate upon ye etc etc oh dont worry about it though she doesnt feel anything. this version is like if i took a heartless doll with a hole in her chest of an endless abyss but like i put a crystal heart on top of it like a stopper so nothing bad that goes in can leak out so i fixed her :+) like kintsugi. thats how it works right. its also more sparkly now. holds her outu in front of me like an aciton figure

i starting drawing a mason jar with an origami rose inside it for her to sit on but i couldnt get the origami rose right and i had half the mind to just learn how to fold an actual one and then take a picture to photobash it into this drawing and then i put my tablet down and stared at the wall bc this drawing wasnt supposed to take this long this wasnt even the actual drawing i started today with and wanted to finish and i wish to cease bc i hav a headache so here she is. pls imagine the original vision i had for this that i failed to achieve i rly appreciate it thanku thank u. ok now look at her face real quick sucks ur soul into her eyeballs

aaa thank u thank u so much for ur kind message ! 🥹 im honored you think so highly of my art and that it inspires you. the best compliment anyone could give me is that my art inspired them to make art too. and its really validating whenever im told my art is fluid and dynamic because i try very hard to make it so … drawing for me is kinda like carving marble i lay the initial sketch which is incredibly blocky and i spend an absorbent of the time trying to chip away at the edges make something rigid seem natural … pensive. i hope im understanding what ur asking correctly, but to quote ikuhara in regards to my shape language: "I think it's more beautiful when the body silhouette has clear contrasts (laugh)." i think its because i'v always been greatly inspired by fashion illustration & fashion editorial photography. runway and editorial makeup included in these i feel like also inform how i render eyes (yassified 💀) i started out drawing clothes and mimicking 20th century and 90s fashion illustration when i was little. in the salon i was always excited whenever we got new magazines so i could look at the celebrity fashion and red carpet sections. i also liked looking at the hairstyle lookbooks. late 90s and early 2000s so a lot of big/spiky/gelled/sprayed hair. and iv always loved haute couture especially sculptural clothing in the realm of guo pei, robert wun, heaven gaia, miss sohee, thierry mugler, schiaparelli, and richard quinn but i dont know if any of these influences translate here since the houses i named are heavily textiled and avante garde ... i try not to spend too much time rendering clothes bc at a certain point it becomes laborious which im trying to avoid feeling …… but i love sharing good art and these r my favourite designers 🥴 maybe this explains my silhouettes tho ? shrug mm perhaps more noticeable influences in how i shape fabric & clothing with my art here though would be houses like vivienne westwood, simone rocha and shushu tong besides fashion illustration & photography as i got older i got reallyyy into reading shoujo manga and that informed a lot of my style development too. particularly works of arine tanemura, matsumoto natsumi, ai yazawa, shinohara chie. and individually, mangas like kodocha, beauty pop, say i love you, kamisama kiss, kyo koi o hajimemasu (i dont remember a lot of these works plots only the art really but PLEASE do not read this last one i remember its really. really bad lmao) hononary mention of rosario vampire, which is not a shoujo but the first manga i read and was extremely attached to the art style artists who's interpretation of shapes and movement that i aspire to are kris anka, rené gruau, sara pichelli, j.c. leyendecker, hua sanchuan, and hisashi eguchi lastly iv never thought about my shape language explicitly in technical terms so i thought itd be interesting to try and put it into words. if it helps. so to me its kinda like

but also stylistic inspiration and aspirations aside, half of it is just the way my hand instinctually likes to move tbh. for example i drew out quickly what kind of lines make me feel the best and theyr like this

another contributing factor is probably that i really really dont like how it feels drawing straight lines. i like how they look and i wish i could Do them but hand tremors aside before even i still felt drawing straight lines was stifling and tedious like doing math. i love making a line that feels like a running rabbit i feel like for me at least in my art there is a lot that gets lost between inspiration—interpretation—execution—reception but i hope that i explained all this ok. its hard to put things into words haha. thank u again for the lovely message 🥲💗

oh ! ahaha thank u thank u im glad u enjoy my anthys ! umm ... march 2023 ? i think ? is when i started anthyposting. i started bc i was talking to my friend 🪼 i think this is around the time i forced them and another one of our friends to watch RGU with me and they said something like "im surprised you've never posted any RGU arts" i guess in regards to how impassioned i am about it and all ... and i realised ... wait. yeah. that is weird ! huh also i think my hyperfixation was peak n i was checking the anthy tag incessantly and i was too impatient waiting for new anthy arts and ykno ... if u want more of something in the world people say u could always endeavor to add to it ... so i was drawing anthy to distract myself waiting for other people's anthys lol . but then i got annoyed seeing my own art in the tag whnever i posted closely in succession like im sick of this dude i want to see OTHER ANTHY ARTS 💀 sidenote i feel bad for my friends i held hostage to watch for their first time because looking back on it i was way too excited and bad at keeping spoilers in ..... i was so annoying saying thing like "oh THIS episode" "ssshhhshsh somethings abt to happen" "wait this is my favourite part" "ok pay attention to this bc itll be important later" 765ut47534234 times about like ... i drew this around lunar new year ... when i wasnt feeling quite well haha ... i think i stopped working on it because there was a lot of negative space where the ''2025'' is and still is to the right of it ,it looked really empty but didnt know what to do with it. i wish i could remember what brushes i used for texturing, maybe i couldv done that to the background to make it more interesting. but i found this again yesterday when i was organising my files and added the lettering (numericaling ?❔❔❔) and the snake eye drop. which i remember i kept trying to do over and over before i stopped working on it months sago but it just wouldnt turn out right. it came to me pretty easily before i fell asleep last night though. i guess it just needed some time
