I think I might buy a canvas and some cheap acrylics. I miss painting, haven't done it properly in years.

I think I'd like to be that stranger. The one that, in someone's truly crappy day, goes 'you're beautiful' or 'I really love that thing you did', making them feel that little bit more significant. I know it's happened to me. And those memories stick, will forever make me happy when I think of them. I just hope that I can pass it on.

Do you ever get those moments where someone you know says 'I think such and such is like this because this' and you're just thinking ' you don't know them at all'? But I assume everyone's the first person sometimes, I can presume I am too. The external person is never a full representation of the insanely complicated human within. It's interesting that we as humans, in our inevitable judgement of others, simplify qualities of the person, and that's kind of it. That's what they are to us. Then again, the second person is the first. Who's to say your perception of the person (or even thing) in question is more informed than the second person's? It's odd, but interesting.

My mother said I must always be intolerant of ignorance but understanding of illiteracy. That some people, unable to go to school, were more educated and more intelligent than college professors.

“What if Foxface realized where she was at that point – she was up against Cato, Thresh, and the team from 12. She wasn’t good with hand-to-hand combat, she relied on stealth and getting in and out of situations quickly. What if she realized that the chances were if up against any of her competitors, she’d die a terrible, painful death. Then, she sees the nightlock sitting perfectly in front of her as she followed Peeta, and thinks: “This is my painless way out. Why suffer more than I need to?” Maybe Foxface was more clever than we all believed.”
