Something is wrong, somebody’s taken him. But she can’t prove it, and no matter what she does, she can’t find him. But the. THEN it turns out not only were you right! He didn’t abandon you, he was taken! YOU were also the ONLY ONE he remembered the whole time!

(And now you’re back at mortal high school and you can’t tell your friends all of this even though they don’t think Percy is that impressive. For the first time in your life you need to shut your mouth. Gotta be killing her not to brag about this one)

Accidental Love Confessions

Just looking at them and suddenly blurting out 'I love you'

Causally saying I love you when the other person has done something really great for them and it wouldn't be awkward if they were just friends, but this makes them realize they're not

Confessing in the middle of a stupid fight

A drunken love confession that gets questioned and then repeated sober

While comforting the other one, who is saying that they are unloved, the other protests that they are definitely not

Exhausted, they are half asleep while saying good night, and an "I love you" slips out

During a very stressful situation, one screams "I care about you, can't you see that I love you?"

Whispering "I love you" in a really dramatic situation and then second-guessing if the other person heard and how they feel

Saying "you're lucky I love you" and realizing too late what they said

Confession via text, either through technology or oldschool pen on paper, but they didn't actually want to send it

honest to god Annabeth had the realest crash out ever w/ Rachel because by the time Rachel helps out Percy and Annabeth with the quest in botl this is after Percy's blown up Mount St. Helen's. So imagine this from Annabeth's pov: you finally kissed Percy and then he dies, no wait actually he didn't die, and while you've been off mourning him, he refuses to say where he's been for the past weeks but you know. you know exactly where he's been. and now he and Chiron are telling you that you need help on your quest, and who does Percy think you need help from?? Oh. Of course. The mortal girl. His "friend" that you didn't even know he had until she just showed up that day you and he were supposed to spend together.... yeah no I would've lost it. Annabeth sweetie you could've been even meaner and it would've been an under-reaction honestly.

What is the most iconic percebeth moment?

Thank you for the ask! I'm sure some people will disagree with me but to me the most iconic percabeth is ever iconic Balconey Scene from the last olympian.

I could write a paper about how that entire scene -not just the Achilles heel part- so perfectly encapsulates their dynamic and how their relationship has developed over the course of the books, including how it ties in to the larger narrative.

I could -and have- analyze it for hours

The moment Annabeth wakes up, she knows she fucked up.

It takes her only a few seconds to get used to the light that comes through the curtains, which she apparently forgot to close the night before. After blinking a few times, she turns around to see Percy Jackson sprawled on her bed, and she immediately realizes she had made the biggest mistake of her life.

“Oh, no.” 

The memories of the previous night flood her brain, flashes of them stumbling at each other at the bar, after she’d had way too many drinks. A very loud music. Them seeing each other again and getting closer and closer on the dance floor. Their bodies brushing and the way his hands sent lightnings through her skin when they touched her waist. How he lowered his head to her neck and whispered, in a very, very sexy voice: I wish I could feel your whole body.

“Shit,” she mutters and quickly pulls her upper body, sitting on the mattress and frantically looking for her underwear. The only thing covering her body is an oversized T-shirt that she quickly realizes it’s not even hers. 

Holy shit, Annabeth, you had to sleep in his clothes?, she thinks to herself, making a mental note to later consider if her alcohol consumption isn’t getting out of control.

She finally spots her panties on the floor, a few steps away from the bed. Jesus Christ, it hadn’t even been regular, forgettable sex. They had barely made it to the bathroom before he basically ripped her underwear and-

Annabeth shakes her head, sending the thoughts away before the heat on her lower abdomen intensified. She had to focus. 

She gets up and puts on her panties, then begins to walk around the bedroom, looking for her other clothing items and tidying it up a bit, interrupting each action with a sigh and a fuck. 

What the fuck was she doing? She had explicitly forbidden herself do go down that path. The job she’d gotten as a TA was basically the only thing that guaranteed she would be able to go through grad school. So, the moment he’d walked inside the classroom, first day, she thought to herself: no. She wouldn’t do anything that could compromise her job.
