Still in love with your transformers art (always) but was curious if and what you use for reference when deciding on their pose? Looking at your art for being robots you make each of them feel alive!

Especially adore Ladybug’s in your meow post.

Hi, tysm!!!! Sorry for the late response😭

For transformers art, I dont really use pose references to be honest. Even though I probably should!!

Alas, the pose references I have usually are of, well, human anatomy -- and for some reason I find it really difficult to translate human poses into transformer poses, especially since my ocs have sort of unique anatomies that make it so I've found myself better served by just following my intuition and going in blind whenever I pose them. I get frustrated a lot though, so I don't know whether I'd recommend that approach.

One thing I've wanted to look at and reference more in the future to hopefully improve is "You can draw Transformers" by Simon Furman and Guido Guidi. A digital version of that book has fallen into my hands and I love how the guide draws Transformers so closely to the G1 style.
