I love the head cannon nick fury adopts lesbians. His three adopted lesbians, carol, Maria and Natasha. I saw it on TikTok ages ago and I can’t get it out my mind now.

I like to imagine he doesn’t even do it intentionally. He’s just a magnet for them. Grumbles when he finds out he somehow found another one, But he’s so protective of his lesbians.

He’s such girl dad.

something about the final climax of thunderbolts not being this huge, explosive battle where the villain is irredeemable and the heroes summon the power of the galaxies to stop them-

but how the final climax was quiet. the darkest shadow, a void falling over new york. it wasn't loud, there wasn't any screaming. it descended upon the city and the people didn't have a chance to react before it swallowed them whole.

how the team's battle was internal, inside their own minds, instead of a huge punchy shoot-off. (especially with this group's skill set, it was unexpected) how they all fought through the shame and guilt and their worst nightmares only to embrace each other anyway. the villain fighting against himself only to realize he is allowed to be loved, despite it all.

how they are all fucked up and have done terrible things but saved the city by holding each other tightly, so tightly that bob realizes the void isn't all he is, and light always comes again.

this movie had so much heart, it made me feel something for a team again, we are so back.

the MCU tries to tell us that nat and yelena are not super soldiers but i see those cartilage piercings— multiple of them, even, and all perfectly healed. you cant fool me.

scarlet johannson did not spend an entire decade fighting tooth and nail to make natasha into an actual character instead of the sex object writers wanted her to be while also having to endure the most vile, misogynistic questions during press tours for people to now disrespect her legacy because yelena is 'better'. the only reason why that is, is because of everything scarlet went through. natasha singlehandedly paved the way for every other female superhero in the mcu and don't you forget that

Whatever you do

Don't think about Fury begrudgingly joining 'family' dinner parties, where the only alcohol is boxed wine in mugs, because fuck he's missed the feeling of being wanted

Don't think about Nat loving movie nights with the avengers, watching cheesy romcoms and making popcorn, because they know how much it hurts to miss out on a childhood

Don't think about Carol always going home for Monica's birthday, because she'll be dammed if she misses another one of her daughter's

Don't think about Maria letting Nat drag her away from her work, no matter how much she didn't want to leave it, because she's never had someone care about her the way Nat does

Whatever you do, don't think about the little things being the most important things in the world to them, because they've never had the chance to take the little things for granted.
