Soon, you may never see a white rhino again
Six. The death of 34-year-old northern white rhinoceros Suni earlier this week in Kenya has brought the population down to six remaining on Earth, bringing the endangered subspecies a step closer to extinction.

Save a Rhino, Save a Tiger
Tumblr media
The International Rhino Foundation is working to save the Sumatran Rhino. They want to work on creating more protection units for the rhinos. This includes protection in national parks and in small rhino communities. On the island of Sumatra there are less then 100 Sumatran rhinos left. They stay in groups(Crash) from as large as 16 to groups of 2. Those number are to small for the population to continue to survive.  By donating to the International Rhino Foundation you can help save the Sumatran rhino as well as the Sumatran tiger.

WHY IS NO ONE PAYING ATTENTION TO THIS?!
In 2013 over 20,000 elephants were killed.
In May of 2014 Mountain Bull was killed.
Yesterday, Satao The Elephant, a Kenyan icon, was killed by poachers.
Not to even mention the 68 elephants that were massacred in the Congo.
Kenya needs armed guards.
Oh, and rhino populations have dropped 90% since 2008.

Sorry for the gruesome post but this is something that is actually happening in world. Sumatran Rhinos are currently critically endangered due to habitat loss and like shown above, poaching. Rhino horns are being sold in Asian countries as medicine that is thought to cure cancer and other diseases. Taking a rhino’s horn is incredibly inhumane and and most of the time after the horn is removed they are left to die. Please help us protect the rhinos from this happening and donate to the International Rhino Foundation. By doing so, you will help many Sumatran Rhinos that live in a sanctuary in Indonesia and prevent them from being murdered.

The Sumatran Rhino critically endangered. Donate to help save them here
There are now believed to be no more then 100 Sumatran Rhinos surviving in the wild. The only place that wild Sumatran rhino populations may be increasing is Way Kambas National Park in southern Sumatra. However, this is not in the wild and on their own. These rhinos need help to survive.  At present, 10 rhinos are maintained in managed breeding programs in the US, Sabah, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

Hey everyone,
We are two students who want to help The Sumatran Rhino.
You might know that recently the Black Rhino was announced extinct and the White Rhino is on the verge of going extinct as well. The pictures above are of the Sumatran Rhino their names are Anadatu and Bina. They live at a sanctuary in Indonesia with others just like them. Due to poaching, their population has decreased in the last twenty years by 50%. Guys, that is half their species. On the island of Sumatra, it is believed that there are less than 100 surviving and less than 10 in Sabah, Malaysia.   We don't want these Rhinos to go extinct like the others. Help us raise money for the International Rhino Foundation here You can also adopt a rhino for as long you want here
