My name is Fatima Alanqar, I am 30 years old, and my husband Bilal Dader is 33. We are parents to five children: Yazan (12), Fadl (11), Zina (10), Rajaa (7), and our baby girl Basma, who is just a year and a half old.

My lovely family

We live in Tal AlHawa, Gaza. In the early days of the war, we were forced to flee our home after it was completely destroyed by occupation forces with fire and missiles. Our car was also burned down to a heap of metal, and all our clothes were burned too. We have been displaced 17 times, each time escaping death by a miracle. We walked long distances on foot with our children who struggled to keep up, driven by fear to escape danger.

After years of effort and construction for our house, then one day and one night everything vanished

My children's mental health has been shattered. They have suffered immensely from fear, displacement, and homelessness, with barely enough food and water to feed a small cat. They have endured carrying water over long distances throughout the day, surrounded by destruction, rockets, and shrapnel. They were deprived of continuing their education, despite being top students.

One of those times when we had to sleep in our previously destroyed house, a missile landed on us and, by God’s grace, it did not explode.

My children have been deprived of the food they love and need for their bodies and minds to grow, enduring constant fear and terror day and night for 10 months without any peace or rest. We also contracted many diseases, including hepatitis and skin infections due to the lack of water and hygiene supplies in overcrowded shelters and sometimes in our destroyed home :( . We were also forced to stay completely still for periods ranging from 3 to 7 days due to the ongoing siege, drinking contaminated water out of fear of the tanks around us.

Our car was not spared from the bombing either

The children's rooms were completely burned...

Some members of my family were martyred, and others were injured. Fear, crying, and sadness fill the place.

We once had all the comforts and basic tools for a decent life, but now we have lost everything. We cook our food over open fires despite the exhaustion and heat, and we barely manage to get flour, water, and firewood. Yet we remain resilient in northern Gaza despite the bombing, hunger, and severe shortages of water, medicine, and necessary supplies.

And now, that's all we have

I was even forced to wean my year-and-a-half-old daughter due to the lack of milk :( .

We are displaced and homeless, continuously moving from one place to another until this dreadful war ends.

My heart breaks for her.... :

TMAGP has come a long way in the field of "immediately believing your co-worker's insane supernatural encounter" as compared to TMA.

Like, I'm pretty sure the only reason Jon believed Martin's Jane Prentiss story was bc Martin had brought along a JAR OF DEAD WORMS as proof and was frankly justified for it because Jon still hemmed and hawwed and wasn't even convinced that Jane Prentiss was supernatural!!!! Bear in mind, motherfucker had already read like twenty insane, unexplainable post-statement follow-ups by that point, one of them being ABOUT JANE EXPLODING A GIRL and yet. Me, having too much coffee and unsupervised access to alchemy books: The agents of fear in this universe are trying to bring forth "the age of Antichrist", a concept spoken of in 14th century Franciscan Spirituals writing that urged alchemy to develop in an attempt to stop it, and they want to do that by blending all the fears together in a "perfect ratio" using the pieces of entities that got transported here from previous universe, thus bringing back the Primal Fear all The Entities came from in TMA universe. They want to access Freddie since he's based on medieval Islamic alchemical textbook called "The Book of Balances" by Jābir ibn Ḥayyān that cross references different metals in attempt to find the ratio for gold, this is also related to what Magnus Institute in this universe was doing, either looking for literal Antichrist child, possible alchemists to develop the field or looking for Messiah who was also mentioned in alchemical writings as an allegory for a Philosopher's Stone, also Alice/Sam/Celia polycule??

Although Alice didn’t eat anything from the office, the consumption of the peppermint tea could have tied her further into the OIAR. She’s been good at avoiding eating food from the office and in her upset and vulnerability she may have entered a deal she was unaware she was making

That theory may not be true though, she’s had OIAR coffee before so it may just be about food directly

It does make me happy though that the tea/coffee symbolism is still ongoing!

I have no theories for who Alice saw die, but I do think that it was the answer she gave to Lena in her interview! “What is the worst thing you’ve ever seen?” And then it’s whoever died in front of her

I love the commentary of having the influencer misusing AAVE in order to promote herself online and to present herself as someone she’s not. It’s such an overt point, and I appreciate that it was made!

The way that the slang all drops in the last video hammers the point home- the dialect she used was not her natural dialect. If it had been it would’ve: 1. Sounded much more natural, 2. Stuck around even in the hospital part.

This podcast has so many people looking at scripts, if the dialect was supposed to sound natural it would. This was intentional and done to make the point it did :)

It surprised me that Lena seems to actually care about her employees. We haven’t seen Lena be anything but cold, but in this episode’s scene she has actual emotions.

But! Does she actually care about them or is she upset that something went against her plans? I’d prefer to think it’s because she cares.

The way Gwen acted in her scene was not great- her correlation between wealth and morality made my skin crawl. I hope that this will be a source of character growth that we can look back on and go “thank gods she changed”

I love the writing on this show. Like as painful as the #influencer voice and aggressive abuse and misuse of aave and queer slang was to listen to, the character slowly dropping the act as the horrors get worse really hammered home how intentional the use of that language was. It’s not the slang itself that’s bad. It’s the disingenuous and uninformed bastardization of real dialects and slang for internet clout, and how, no, she doesn’t really talk like that. It’s an act for the camera. And the change from annoying to soggy pitiful I-just-want-to-be-noticed is palpable and effective! My thoughts on this ep aren’t 100% fully formed but I do like what they did there. Very intentional.

i feel like there's something genuinely terrifying about what gwen did from lena's perspective. to not only let a danger inside what she probably considers a "safe" place, but to also disregard that danger because of social status and wealth. lena knows exactly how dangerous lady mowbray is, and she has to live with the fact that she was in there without her knowledge.

i imagine it's almost like finding out that someone was inside your house without your consent or knowledge, except you know every excrutiating detail of what they could've done to you.
