EAT YOUR WEIGHT IN VEGGIES?
I want to get in the habit of putting good things into my body rather than just loading up on muffins and coffee for breakfast lunch and dinner (as enjoyable as that is)
Today I choose to make 80% of each meal some sort of vegetable. BOOM.

DANCE WITH SOMEBODY!
If the occasion doesn't present itself, then find some music, find your Patrick Swayze or Jennifer Grey, and make it happen. 聽
I personally am done caring about what people think (for the most part). 聽I've accepted that am a lanky white girl and will look odd dancing no matter what I do!聽

COFFEE SHOP BOARDIES
Go into a coffee shop and actually browse the cork-board that has all the fliers and things posted to it.
Take something away from it. ANYTHING.
Plan to go to one of those events. Or pass on the word about that lost puppy. Who knows how much those people would appreciate it!聽

HONOR YOUR ELDERS
Do something nice for your grandparent(s) today if you still have one in your life. If not - then do something nice for someone above the age of 60 that is important to you.聽
If they don't live locally, then a phone/Skype conversation could work!聽

SPEAK LIKE YOU MEAN IT
A lot of people get caught with "fake" voices in certain situations whether they will admit to them or not. I will admit to going up into this high pitched voice when I am really trying to be polite or not come off too strong, or something.
But what's wrong with coming off too strong? 聽
Today, I will speak in my natural, authentic voice which, not trying to brag or anything, sounds just like Morgan Freeman's.

GET TO KNOW SOMEONE
Take the time today to casually ask someone you know, but don't聽really know, questions about themselves. Maybe you've been working in the same office with someone for years and don't even know where they are originally from or if they are a Buddhist or if they teach scuba lessons on the side and enjoy Coke over Pepsi. 聽Make a point to learn about someone today.

NO SUBTITLES NECESSARY
Watch a non-English speaking short film or film clip (the more unfamiliar the language the better) that does not include subtitles. See what you can interpret based on visuals and tone of voice.
I watched this French mini-movie addressing middle school bullying. Why's everybody got to pick on the little guy?

FINISH A BOOK
Nothing compares to that feeling of finishing a book. It's a confidence booster, really.聽
If this is an impossible goal because of time factors, then children's books DO count as books. Just as long as you get the satisfaction of turning the last page.

Today while waiting for traffic to cool off, I sat on the beach & read this cover to cover. I recommend it to anyone that isn't "above" new-agey self-help books.

YOU'RE A FUCKING POET
Write a haiku with curse words in each line.聽
This article聽suggests that swearing helps with resilience. I'll take it.
Tumblr media
I'm clearly an incredible writer.
Sidenote: That first line is paying homage to Tina Fey, because she is the best bitch.
