Juliette: Likes her coffee like she likes her men man. Hot blonde latte.

Aaron: Doesn't drink coffee, but espresso or americano when he's feeling like it. Very classic and refined. Also if we're matching with Juliette's description, the espresso's the same color as her hair.

Kenji: Seasonal lattes. Once, Aaron's and his coffee's got mixed up and they both took a sip of the others, and both proceeded to gag.

praying praying praying that watch me doesnt turn the shatter me fandom into what the latest books in acotar have turned the fandom into. its a bloodbath when all were meant to do is enjoy the characters and books.

maybe it’s just me but I feel like the shatter me series needs to be done…the sequel series to the original felt like character assassination and now we’re just running into using it as a cash cow, it’s a bit sad since the first 3 were great

with the new part of watch me revealed, I want to put my two cents into the most recent aaron-adam-james drama. mostly because I was in the same a similar position as james.

one of the things that makes me, me is that I am an immigrant. or was raised as an immigrant. my parents didnt know how to survive by themselves for a while, much less take care of a 5 y.o.

My siblings (many years older than me but close to age among themselves) took the responsibility to raise me, but one (lets name aaron) left the house pretty early on. it was up to the other (adam) to raise me until a certain point in my life. then other things happened, and adam left the house. I was old enough to the point where, ya know, I could have survived on my own, or at least more independently/with the help of parents that could get by. BUT I wasnt in a good place mentally (a little because of adam sibling, but it was something out of his control), and the aaron sibling took me in.

James didnt say that adam didnt raise him. he didnt throw out all of their memories and adam's sacrifices. its not like james just abandoned adam out of no where, theyre prob still pretty close.

It just means that james wanted a different life. and yes, he said that 'aaron (and juli) raised him' because the most important years of your development believe it or not are 10-20. those are the years when you are most influenced by the people you look up to. thats when most of us got into books and found solace and inspiration in our favorite characters (raised by hermione granger anybody?). books that we read in 0-10 didnt raise us (except for the very hungry caterpillar, that has a separate part in our hearts).

now, I’m closer with the aaron sibling, but that doesnt mean that the adam sibling didnt raise me or that I forgot about him. he made many sacrifices that he did not under any circumstance have to. he wasnt obligated to, but he did anyway.

those two raised me together, and I’m practically their first child no matter how many they pop out now (I have 6 nieces/nephews:))

more so, their spouses also practically raised me (sometimes more than my real parents did), so I expect james to have some sort of close relationship with both juliette and alia.

james didnt forget what adam did. adam listed himself in the army for james' protection. adam made sure that - even if he were gone - james could go to school and make something out of the fraction of a life the reestablishment would offer.

aaron taught him to be better - smarter, stronger. training, school, intelligence.

and to end this on a good note, aaron probably also taught him how to dress.

one of the things I love about warnette is how they're both so obsessed with each other. on one side, aaron keeps her diary because it helps him cope, he does things for her. later on, he's probably like "love, decorate the house how you want. no, I don't care that there are mindless pink bows everywhere." she's always on his mind, and he's always thinking, "oh juliette would love this flower/painting/food/etc."

Meanwhile, juliette is canonically ready to jump his bones and devour him the second she gets him alone.

you can really tell who grew up touch deprived and who wasted their time by bedding someone whose name starts with 'le' and ends with 'na'.

something that always irks me in fanart is aarons scars.

And I’m really bad at any type of art, so I can't judge, especially since drawing scars probably is a skill on its own.

They still capture the meaning behind it, but they're always cute, like medium sized cuts.

This is Anderson we're talking about. He used a whip. Aaron's back is supposed to be ugly and unfathomable. From 5 to 18, that's, what, 14 years of whipping. Whips don't just leave scars.

They leave keloids.

Also, Anderson wouldn't just birthday present him one lashing per year. Not only was Paris Anderson known for his cruelty, but abusive people aren't famous for consistency. It’s highly likely Paris varied the severity depending on his mood, anger, or intent to intimidate. The amount fluctuated to keep him on his toes, so Aaron would never know when it would end.

Aaron didn't get 1 lashing per birthday. I doubt Anderson gave him anything less than 5.

For fourteen years. Anderson probably didn't let him get stitches either. For goodness sake, he'd see that as weak.
