“but being a sex worker is the same thing as working as a waitress”
does a waitress have to worry about getting stds from men everyday?
does a waitress have to worry about getting pregnant?
is a waitress expected to have sex with multiple strangers everyday?
is a waitress expected to have sex with men who can and will cause her physical harm?
this is such an americanized and privileged take and view on prostitution. no your shitty retail job with a boss who’s slightly mean to you will never be on the same level as what prostituted women have to go through everyday

Chappell Roan's not even particularly unique.
Her music is typical pop. Catchy, with some memorable hooks, but not particulary bold. Hot 2 Go is annoying AF.
Her costume style is avant garde, which has been around for a while. If people stopped being bizzarely enamored with drag performers for five minutes they'd realize how many women have worn outrageous fashion statements to get people's attention.
And what's most infuriating is that she goes on and on about drag queens and transpeople inspiring her, but never mentions female artists. She doesn't even mention famous lesbian musicians, despite supposedly being one.

sorry but this literally looks like a still from a domestic violence incident. im not gonna pretend a vapid pop star is a harbinger of doom but this seems like just the kind of backward propaganda that would only be passable in the culture if we had someone like trump in office!

We knew this already because being a radical feminist or being a gender-critical feminist doesn't equal being anti-trans, despite what gender activists want everyone to believe, but here you go, for the people who I've seen saying that Rowling would somehow want to fire actors and actresses in the HP series that have different opinions than hers.
I mean if you cared about what made her speak about trans issues in the first place you would have guessed that already. It all started precisely because a woman, Maya Forstater, was fired from her job for addressing trans women as males. J.K Rowling defends worker's rights and obviously these rights are for everyone.

Okay, but how the fuck did believing in ladybrains and innate femininity become progressive and recognising the existence of sex-based oppression become bigoted?

my heart bleeds everyday for the afghan girls and women. they are housebound and have to cover themselves up from top to bottom because they have to "avoid temptation or seduction". they are not allowed to speak in public or appear in public because it is deemed "too intimate." the women can’t look at men. suicide rates have skyrocketed because women and girls would rather be dead than to be a women in afghanistan. it’s not a sin to be a women.
women and girls are denied access to healthcare because they cannot be treated by male doctors, yet they are also barred from education and, therefore, cannot become doctors themselves. shops in afghanistan are even forced to cover up female mannequins. little girls live in fear of becoming child brides, but they dream of being poets, they would kill to get education.
a woman was disqualified from the olympics because she spread the message "free afghan women" at her breakdance performance. there must always be a relative male by their side like women were dogs being treated by their owner, except dogs have more rights than the women suffering.
we must raise awareness, do not look away. these women deserve the opportunities and the human rights that EVERY person does. they are talented, creative and intelligent but men are so scared. scared of women. the taliban tries to erase women. i’m sick. remember: it’s not islam or "just their culture", it is the radical government that feels threatened by women. do not look away.

Males can't be victims of misogyny, no matter how they present.
Misogyny is the hatred of women. Not the hatred of femininity. It affects all female people regardless of their presentation.
Men who are discriminated against for presenting as feminine or for presenting differently are victims of homophobia, male violence or social rejection. Not misogyny.

im sorry you just wont convince me that taylor swift pop singer is an equal evil to fascist oligarch elon musk because shes kind of annoying and makes a lot of money from music you dont like and yr coworkers wont shut up about her and her shitty boyfriend. I know yr probably sick of her bc shes been having a hot streak the past few years and is always being reported on like it matters but elon musk did in fact pay his way into the white house to dismantle every possible protection he could find for every single minority group in the US because he feels insecure about how people dont like him which has certainly already led to many deaths and the destruction of thousands of lives and i simply dont think releasing too much music and being a liberal white woman can really match up to that

i had a dream that there was like a revival of the man vs bear debate but instead it was "would you rather be alone in a woman's bathroom with a random trans woman or jk rowling?" and everyone picked the trans woman and jkr crashed out on twitter because of it

Its so hard to explain that, sometimes, sports and clubs have women-specific groups and teams and tournaments because of female community and solidarity, not just competitive ability. As a kid, I bowled in a league that did tournaments. My base team was mixed-sex (my brother and i with another brother-sister duo) and we did the occasional tournament against other mixed-sex youth league teams. But I also would be in a team with other girls in my league to form an all-girls team for girls-only tournaments. Not because of the physical differences in the teams but because of female community and uplifting women and girls.
My local bowling alley has leagues, including an all-female league because of female community. Yes, it would be wrong for a male, no matter how he identifies, to join that league even though he wouldn’t be directly competing* (*depending on the league).
These males and MRAs can’t comprehend that women want to have their own exclusive spaces, including sports. It isn’t just about physical ability; female community is important. And no, despite how ass-kissing many younger lib women on the internet may act, most regular women still want their own spaces, no matter how trans-positive they may be.

if you openly don't accept trans women you are absolutely not a feminist. shame on you for calling yourself one.
These sorts of messages are fascinating to me–how they play on female socialization to be accepting and inclusive and supportive and accommodating, or else SHAME.
Accept trans women how? As what? Accept them without hesitation into female-only spaces, places designated specifically for women who face oppression based on their sex class? Into spaces intended for women who share meaningful life experiences due to female anatomy? Into lesbian spaces even though they are heterosexual males (sexuality being based on sex)? Accept them into my own sexuality, even though I am exclusively attracted to adult human females, known as women?
I accept that gender-nonconforming males who try to fill the social role of women often face discrimination and violence. They shouldn’t. No one should.
But if I don’t do everything they demand, I should feel shame? Shame for knowing my sex is important, for knowing the boundaries of my sexuality? Shame for defining feminism as being strictly for and about female women, colloquially known simply as women?
I don’t feel shame, and I won’t. I am immensely proud to be a women, it’s an honour to be female, being a lesbian is sacred. I feel no shame.
