Twilight: "Yor has her own thing, it's none of my business, I don't ask questions."

Twilight, a few weeks later:

"I miss Yor"

"I wonder what she's doing at work"

"I'll let her know we want to see her"

"Dammit, let's go and look for her"

"Dammit, I'm sad we couldn't find her"

“Yooooorrrrr! You came!!!! 🥰🥰🥰”

Twilight: I'm a man of a hundred faces, the master of lies, Westalis's greatest spy, I'm not attached to my fake family in any way!

I loved the way Loid’s eyes immediately narrow into “Twilight’s eyes” when he jumped to Yor’s defense. The fact that Yor had to stop him from arguing really shows that he dislikes seeing Yor being put down by misogynist comments.

The lovely @whateversawesome also pointed out that the text “She isn’t even your real wife.” acts like a barrier between Loid and Yor. Loid has to remind himself that they’re not really married by putting up a figurative wall between them.

This is absolutely not important, but I admire how every time we get a glimpse of the Forger’s hallway we see *new* - and increasingly real - family pictures.

When the series first started, there was that lone Forger Family portrait where Yor and Anya both look like they need the bathroom.

And then we got the cringe and doctored photos that were part of the lovey-dovey package when Yuri first visits.

After that we see the cringest photos removed - it's now all Family Forger, all the time. But at this point in the story - right after the Doggy Crisis - the photos are still all 'staged'.

But by the time Nightfall visits, we see a new photo of the Forgers, this time, with Bond too! And that does not look like they are in a photo studio. More like Bond trying to take a selfie in a park somewhere. (Yes, if Bond can see the future, he can take selfies.)

When we get a good glimpse of the Forger's hallway again in the manga after Nightfall's visit, when Bond sees a vision of him possibly dying from eating Yor's cooking, there are now more new photos: Bond licking Anya like she's made of peanut butter (she's had so much peanuts that...maybe?), and another of the whole Forger family together, smiling and acting natural.

I hope this becomes a recurring thing in the series - every time we see the top of that cabinet there will be new pictures of the Forger family, until the end of the series when it's just creaking under the weight of all the photos.

Because they are the memories Loid, Yor, Anya and Bond have made together. They are evidence that it happened, and that all of it was real.

Have we talked about how Twilight went from "Anya will go back to the orphanage I picked her up from once the mission is done"

to "I'll write a cover letter so she can go to a better orphanage and be happier"

to "I'll make sure both my fake daughter and fake wife have a good life once the mission is done and I have to part with them"

because I think that's v important

So Twilight... is this fond gazing still for the mission?

A shot like this tells me that a part of him knows he's happy and that the Forger family are a huge part of that. If only he could admit it to himself *sighs*

The family pictures displayed in their house started from an "elaborately doctored photos":

To real photos of them having fun from an "ooting" and such: even their first family portrait was just for show before.

I can't wait for this photos to be animated 😭😭

This is so comfortable and sweet too.

I think that Loid must have something in him that brings enough comfort to Yor and Anya to make them sleep so easy leaned on him.
