You smiled widely as you walked arms linked with your dad as you enter the paddock with him. You were so excited to be back after attending college in America for five years. Yeah you were able to see the American races and see everyone there but something about being back in the country you called home to see your dad in that Ferrari red that he has always wanted to wear was just extra special.

You were smiling and waving to everyone who greeted you, some even came to hug you, shocked that you were there.

“I told you everyone missed you.” Lewis smiled looking over at you

“I have missed everyone even more. There are so many new faces.” y/n giggled leaning into your father a bit more almost skipping

“Yeah there is.” Lewis hummed, kissing the top of your head

The two of you walked into the Ferrari garage and everyone welcomed you so warmly. You followed your dad to his driver’s room and plopped down on the couch, kicking your feet up and pulling out your phone.

“Dad, when is mom coming?” you asked looking for your best friend, Lando, contact number

“Hmm probably not until right before the race why?” he asked situating all of his things on the table

“I want to go say hi to uncle Toto and see Lando before she comes because she won’t let me wander like always.” You rolled your eyes

Your dad let out a small chuckle because to hate right. His wife likes for you to stay close at races despite being 22 years of age.

“Go ahead and go, just make sure you watch her location so we both don’t get yelled at.”

You smiled widely and dropped your feet to the floor, springing up off the couch. “I’ll be back dad!” you smiled overly sweetly, the way you do when you know you managed to get your dad to overturn one of you mom’s rules. It happens all the time, so much so Lewis often finds himself in trouble for “not having a backbone”.

“Hey!” You dad called out, stopping you in your tracks. You turn around and looked at him with questioning eyed. “No funny business alright, go say hi and then come right back.”

“Yes sir.” you mock saluted him before your dad waved you off

You blushed and placed your hand in his. “You have made this very loud world of mines a little quieter and I cannot thank you enough for the peace you bring me.”

Lewis always had a way with words that rendered you speechless every time. He loves you in a way you have never been loved before. You were so used to a world so cruel and unkind to women like you so much so you built this wall around your heart to protect yourself and here Lewis is, determined to break it down brick by brick to love you endlessly.

“You are giving me too much credit Lewis.” You smiled shyly

“I don’t think I am giving you enough credit. I was lost before you. You felt tears filling up your eyes the more Lewis talked. You never thought you would be sitting here with a partner who loves you so loudly and the way you wanted to be loved. You would have thought it was all a dream had the waitress not came over to pour more wine for the two of you.

Q: Lewis, besides the filming day, were you at the factory? What did you do in these off days of Formula 1?

LH: Yea, I was at the factory, all two weeks, a couple days each week. We did, preparation for, naturally, you're going over, where we were on the previous race, things that we need to change.

I hold a lot of meetings, so I've called on lots of meetings with the heads of the team. So I've sat with John, Benedetto and Fred in several meetings. I've sat with the head of car development, with Loic, with also the heads of different departments, talking about engine for next year, talking about front suspension for next year, talking about rear suspension for next year, things that you want, issues that you have, that I have with this car.

I've sent documents, so I've done through the year. After the first few races, I did a full document for the team. Then, during this break, I had another two documents that I sent in, so then I come in and want to address those. Some of it's, structural adjustments that we need to make as a team in order to get better in all the areas that we want to improve and then the other one was really about, the car, the current issues that I have with this car, some things that you do wanna take on to the next year's car and some that you need to work on changing for next year. We did development for, tried the 2026 car for the first time and, started work on that. And 30 engineers come to the room and you sit and debrief with every single one of them. So big, big push.

And otherwise, just training, pretty, maybe a little bit too hard, a bit heavy this weekend.
