This is just ridiculous on so many levels that I can't get over it and I have been laughing about it for ages. So I am going to go over this instead!

I have literally never heard of this blog before. How could I have been inspired by a blog I've never seen before.

If they wanted either of us to even consider this, then maybe be nicer and don't say stuff like "blatant copies".

...You can't OWN a way of making icons?? What??? That's like saying you "own" an art style, and you can't even be as diverse in icons as you can with art!! Honestly it's even closer to just saying "I own this specific way of creating a sketch. You can't do that."

I went to peruse the blog a bit and they literally say they don't feel comfortable giving icon tutorials so people can't use their style which means...how could either of us have used their style when they don't show How to make their style...

My blog is literally just based on demonspride's because I wanted to match, hence the URL and stuff. Heropride was taken but I wouldn't have done it anyways since Cyan has the -s after demon. The hero is a character in Bad End Theater hence why I did that!

Why is this blog interacting with demonspride when it's super clear, like, right on its pinned that it welcomes all pride flags when this other blog doesn't (first screenshot is demonspride, second is gothamspride)

Cyan has literally been making icons in the ""style"" that he makes them in since before their blog started posting?? Here's just a few examples of that from another editing blog of Cyan's. Also for circular icons you can literally just look up transparent templates to make them bordered and stuff. You can't copy that. It's just...public resources... (the screenshot that says April is a screenshot of the first made posts of the other person's blog, which dates to April 2022 when you can literally just see the dates on Cyan's posts that he's made those since before this other person started making icons...)

This is honestly just super funny to me but if you say mean shit even if you try to say it nicely it's mean and I don't tolerate people being shitty to my partner. Cyan was way nicer than he needed to be. No love and no respect towards this blog at all. Anyways I'll make an icon tutorial probably so other people can make icons like us if they want to! Information shouldn't be guarded and we should always try to educate and help others!

My icon style is actually inspired by… Completely different people than you. Specifically, my good friend on Discord was my point of inspiration, who taught me how to do this style on call! As well as some inspo taken from @/pridolcons in regards to both coloring and post formatting.

Furthermore, my URL is what it is because demonpride, demonicpride, pridedemon, demonicons and demonicon were all taken. This URL was, like, my sixth choice. And then my partner modeled pups blog after exclusively me.

I’m gonna be honest with you: I don’t blame you for seeing similarities in our editing styles (those are plain to see, upon looking at your blog properly). But I’ve seen your posts maybe two or three times in the wild, and I have never opened your blog before. You are, like, a completely random blog asking for credit from me.

But, yeah, I’m not gonna change my icon style or my URL or link to your blog because it’s coincidentally pretty similar to yours. With all due love and respect, of course, as a fellow member of the editing community!
