Thinking about all the actual trauma Mac had

His mom died when he was five. He was a smart kid, yeah, but he was still five. There was still another 5-6 years before Lauretta entered his life and became pseudo mom to him, leaving him with his dad who definitely wasn’t there 24/7 like he should’ve been

Canonically, Bozer could’ve met Mac either before or after his dad left, so that’s whole situation could’ve been a thing in itself. James just up and left on his only son’s birthday. We saw what happened with that

Being in the military definitely gave him some form of ptsd, even though we don’t see it. Mac saw people die and probably caused some deaths inadvertently himself. You know that’s going to cause some issues

And the first episode, we see him get shot, in the chest, very close to his heart. You can’t convince me that it only took three months to heal. That’s the first injury we see. It could be the first time he was actually shot, but definitely not the first time being shot at, military aside

But like, the training and early DXS missions and the failed missions— you cannot tell me there were no repercussions and there wasn’t a time where Mac wanted to quit but toughed through everything

I just saw a church set up in a parking lot with a neon sign asking for flood donations. this was near a grocery store so I was able to immediately go and get supplies to donate.
