The Uneven Beat of a Bleeding Heart (Hextrick)

Do you ever hear someone laugh for the first time and know right then and there that you want to be the reason they laugh like that?

Those stupid flowers. Trick was getting awfully tired of seeing them. At this rate, he was going to die of them. Literally. She'd heard of the disease before, the hanahaki disease. At first, she thought it was stupid. Flowers? In your stomach? Please. That was until they began coughing them up. The stupid bleeding heart petals falling out of her mouth before she could stop them, piling up at the bottom of his stomach everytime Hexsy walked by. She told.herself she'd be fine, that the stupid flowers would.go away, that she wasn't in love with Hexsy.

It wasn't going to do anything though.

The petals were slicing through her skin, serving as painful reminders of the love she carried for her. Hexsy was always around, and she liked it that way. He liked being around her, liked watching her tail light up different colors depending on her mood, liked drinking coffee and gossiping about everyone in the morning, liked going on walks with her late into the afternoon. That was one of the reasons she wasn't getting the stupid surgery to get rid of the flowers.

It wasn't worth letting go of all those memories.

"Trick! Hey!" Hexsy knocked on the door, worried about her. They had been hanging out together, having another coffee morning. Trick was laughing along with whatever joke Hexsy had said, his eyes sparkling with joy. That is, until Smg3 walked in. Suddenly, it was as if Trick was thrown to the shadows. They had know, of course, about Hexsy's love for the purple Mario recolor. It seemed to be the topic of almost every conversation, and never failed to make her sick her stomach.

And today was no exception.

She excused herself -not that it mattered anyways, they didn't notice- and headed to the bathroom, almost immediately throwing up flower petals. It was the same burning sensation everytime, but this time it felt like more. Like she was wringing herself dry, and at the same time felt so full. When he opened his eyes again, he realized that his left eye didn't open fully. He ran to the mirror, his eye having been replaced by the petals of a bleeding heart. How ironic. Of all the flowers, it was the bleeding heart. That's how she felt, as if her heart was cut open and bleeding, and instead of patching it up, it was being rung out over and over. "Trick!" Hexsy bursts through the door, watching in horror as Trick slumps against the wall, leaning down towards her. "Its alright, Hex. Just a silly magic trick. Tada..." he smiled weakly, giving her jazz hands. Hexsy shook her head, she wasn't stupid. "What is going on? Why didn't you tell me about this? Trick, you-" shes cut off by a kiss, and she doesn't object. Tricks hand-the one with less flowers, of course- was gently cupping her cheek, her thumb brushing over the soft skin as if it was a security blanket, soothing and comforting. Hexsy pulled away, thinking that would be it. A kiss from your soul mate would end the disease, right? Reciprocated feelings were the cure?

But they weren't. At least, not fully.

Hexsy held her close, quietly sobbing. She knew, in truth she'd always known, that Trick loved her. And she couldn't help but feel guilty for unintentionaly leading her on. She continued to hold her, her tears watering the flowers scattered along Tricks lifeless body. She would never hear Tric laugh at her jokes, or walk with her during the late hours, or have coffee with her in the morning. It was over, and she couldn't help but blame herself. Who knew how long she'd been in that limbo, her tears watering the flowers. Even when Smg3 came in, and the ambulance arrived, she couldn't bring herself to look away. Hell, she swore she could hear a heartbeat still.

A heartbeat.

That snapped her out of her trance. She pulled out of Threes grasp, running toward the ambulance they were taking Trick away in. She stayed in that ambulance, refusing to move her ear from her chest, swearing over and over that "she's alive, she's alive he's going to make it, they still have a heartbeat, they're gonna be ok."

It wasn't until later, when they had declared Trick dead and removed all the petals that Hexsy found out what that beating she heard was.

It was a flower. A Bleeding Heart. The beat was uneven, but it didn't matter. It was Tricks. Thats all she cared about.

Second Option (HexTrick)

"So, you didn't fix the lights, then." Trick smiled, sipping from his cup of coffee, watching as Hexsy fixed the backup generator. The duo were inside Threes Coffee and Bombs, Trick watching as Hexsy worked. Hexsy was telling her about a time when Tyler, Three's baker, had called her to fix the lights. "Yeah, well, its not like she ever responds to me when I call, so." Trick laughed, rolling his eyes. "And How often does she call, Hex?" Hexsy thought about it for a minute, then rolled her eyes, realizing the magicians point. "Oh, whatever." she said, swishing her tail in their direction. Trick smiled, avoiding the hit, and leaned back over the counter. She wanted to say something, anything really. A compliment. Something that would get the mechanics attention. But just as she started, the back door opened, and the cafe owner walked out. "Bout time your lazy ass showed up to fix these," he grinned, teasing Hexsy playfully. Hexsy laughed, playfully swatting at him with her tail. "Hey, be lucky I'm doing it in the first place. I'm not exactly getting paid for this, you know." Trick couldn't do anything else but watch as the playful banter took place in front of them. He looked down at his coffee, trying to distract himself with anything else. Anything to avoid the way they looked at each other. The way they laughed, the way their conversation flowed so easily. He wanted that more than anything.

But clearly, it wasn't going to happen anytime soon.

Hexsy kept fixing the lights as Smg3 "ridiculed" her, Trick all but forgotten. "You know," Smg3 started, holding the ladder for Hexsy, "If you really want something for your work, I know a nice restaurant nearby that we could go to." Hexsy froze. Trick froze. The air was tense, as if he'd just asked something criminally insane instead of a simple "come to dinner with me" question. Then, Hexsy smiled, and Trick knew it was over. "Yeah. Dinner works." Hexsy said, her ringlight tail glowing a soft pink. She climbed down the ladder, having fixed the rest of the lights. Smg3 nodded, giving her hand a soft kiss as Hexsy rolled her eyes playfully. "Dinner it is then. See you at 7?" he asked, looking up at her. Hexsy nodded, pulling his hat down. "See you at 7, dork." He grinned walking back to the back, only then did he notice Trick. "Oh, hey Trick! When did you get here?" He asked, and Hexsy turned around, finally remembering her friend. "Oh, yeah! Sorry, Trick. Completely forgot about you."

If only she knew how deep those words hurt. Then she wouldn't have said them. But Trick smiled, waving it off like it was no big deal, like he was content with being her second option. Because he was. Everything was fine.

At least, thats what she was going to tell herself.

I can't believe Klein disc hacked Spotify 😩

PLEASE READ: This is a new development to the Spotify Hack news from several hours ago [X]. To ensure the safety of the community, I urge you to spread the word and to read carefully.

As said several hours ago, another hack was done to the Glitch/SMG4 Spotify account, the culprits being SG8 and Disker.

At the time currently writing this, for the people in the Glitch community, the account is in the clear for now. You all are allowed to visit the account again.

For the SMG4 community, as some of you might've gotten the notification, their Spotify account was indeed hacked. As well as a track by Disker left in the account, which I advise to not listen to it. It would only benefit the culprits if you did. Once again, there wasn't anything visually explicit/inappropriate (not to banner or artist description as of now). It isn't as bad as last time, but for the fact that it happened at all is still just as terrible. Even so, stay cautious and stay tuned for updates until the situation is resolved.

In the original post, I posted screenshots of Disker's known socials so you can be on the lookout, block and/or report him. Aside from that, it's incredibly important to not further interact with him, given how their track record is.

We can only hope that Glitch/SMG4 Team could get their account back, even better if they can pursue legal action for the cyberattacks and other crimes these culprits done before. Based on my expertise, it may be possible but it would be a difficult process. Either way, best of luck to Glitch/SMG4.
