The only reason I did this was to cover up the sambal stains that hit my book 😭😭😭

That was a great decision.

I also drew some on my pen that matched with the book, and damn it looks cool

Decides to draw 3 because the purple marker reminded me of him lmao.

Limited colors but I think it went out well ig? Damnit, I should've taken the pink one also

You could probably consider this as 1K follower gift lmao. Same thing, limited color selection. So I tried layering them in a way that was unique, it's decent ig.

I somehow also had the motivation to do Pipedream somehow.

Why did I say that? Well... I was doing this at literally 11 o'clock and I kinda felt sleep deprived 😭😭

I like doing late night doodles for some reason.

I didn't have a ref, since I couldn't bring my phone before going to sleep. So I had to rely on my memory 💀

I guess it's accurate? Idk.

Anyways, that's about all. These markers are real cool, might experiment on them more.

So today I've been watching SSX and SSX Tricky course comparisons. So I'm gonna talk about which I prefer and why.

Aloha Ice Jam: SSX Prefers how it gives me that feel of island stuff and object. Tricky one is less of that and more like oh you're nearby a collection of buildings Snowdream: SSX I like the how the dark blue night sky near the mountains goes to a dark magenta color and the mountains in the background are like a darker version of the track's lighting. The tricky version has a giant moon but nevertheless, I really like the night blue sky and the mountains in the backgrounds do fit. The track's lighting has an orangeish contrast from the former. I perfer SSX's Snowdream though. Untracked: Tricky Mountain Skybox looks better too. Tricky's track looks ugly as SSX version until a certain point down the track and then it looks okay. Tokyo Megaplex: Tricky It's interesting how the Tricky version's bg is more city than like inside an arcade compared to the SSX version. Rails and hoops bring it out for Tricky. Elysium Alps: Tricky I just do not really like the mountain part of the skybox. It's violet or purple doesn't do it for me. That single part looks strange to me at times. Trick's version just looks good and mountain skybox fitting. Like everything else between the two looks fine and fitting but them mountains part of SSX's background Skybox are a miss to me. Mercury City: Draw The SSX sky box looks ugly to me, while Tricky's Mercury City foggy Skybox blends very well with the city course but I don't know. I actually really like the darker buildings of SSX's Mercury City and the textures of the city objects a lot more. Pipedream: Draw They are too different and I have liking to both. Mesablanca: SSX That orange mountain skybox is wonderful with the track's lighting and rocks. Tricky's Mesablanca is fine too but the SSX Mesablanca has more aesthetic spunk to it. Totes for the SSX orangeness of Mesablanca and for being my favorite track to fawn over for the first game.

To be sought after and lusted is easy and common. But to be romanced is another thing.

To be romanced is truly beautiful. Gentle love with passion is exciting. Small gestures and intense energy is so beautiful. Poems, sitting on the beach by the water holding hands, being kind and gentle with one another is so amazing. Taking pictures of the one that you love in a sporadic moment, brushing their hair, singing softly to them as they drift off to sleep, picnics, being respectful and mindful. It’s all so wonderful to me.

#RPGCovers Week Eleven Pipedream (2019) Farid

A few times in doing these lists I’ve been stumped to explain exactly why a particular cover or illustration appeals to me. That’s Pipedream for me right now. It’s a cover image I love and it makes me happy every time I see it. 

Except it isn’t really a cover image, it's more of a presentation image– a beautiful shot that appears on the third page of the pdf. The itch.io page shows it, along with a sketch & logo version at the top of the page. It’s kind of a demonstration of how new publishing has changed our approach to objects. I mean, if it is a pdf, it doesn’t really need a cover, just a thumbnail. I’ve seen some publishers release games with separate files for the cover and the text.

But swinging back to this, Pipedream’s cover is the perfect piece for the pitchline of the game: hobbits getting high and maybe solving mysteries. Our hobbit’s asleep in a field, not just that, floating in a pond, relaxed. Their wondrous, long, luxuriant hair splays out in the water. They’re relaxed, they don’t have time to think about crimes and problems right now. Maybe they're in their Mind Palace, but that seems dubious…probably an excuse they’d use if someone caught them. 

I love Pipedream– the way it links indulgence in dangerous pipeweeds to the great systems from Cthulhu Dark. It’s dynamite pitch and one of my favorite series I ran of all time. I still remember seeing this image and it absolutely making me stop and look again. As I said above, it still makes me happy every time I look at it.
