Help my friends have recorded themselves playing 10+ hours of a 2-person TTRPG and now they’re baiting me to listen through my love of angst, authoritative & morally questionable middle-aged women, and nonbinary gremlins.

[ID: An image of the title ‘Café’ surrounded by flourishes. The tagline below it reads: “A game about two people: How they meet, how they change, and how they part.” In the bottom corner is a drawing of a cup of steaming coffee on a paper towel, with a book placed next to it.]
Hello friends, I made a game!
It’s a GM-less 2-player tabletop roleplaying game about two strangers who meet each other at a café and how they subsequently impact each other’s lives.
What kind of strangers, you ask? That’s up to you! It could be about stressed university students, rival 19th century poets, covert spies, witches meeting at a magic convention, or whatever you want!
I would love for you to play it, so it’s free!
You can get it on itch.io here

@hgb94 just pointed out: if Astrid didn’t sell them out (and I highly doubt she did, given that Trent only arrived after guards were able to sound the alarm, and didn’t seem to know the level of the threat before he saw the illusory dragon), she might be in real trouble.
Trent can easily put two and two together — not many people could have told the M9 exactly where he stores precious magical items and where his magical traps are. Not to mention that if Trent captures Caleb (and for sure he’ll go for capture over kill), he’ll presumably find Astrid’s maps, with her own handwriting on them.
So uh, if Astrid’s looking to take the old man out, now might be the best time?

RQG Zine: Cover Reveal!
We’re so INCREDIBLY excited to share the cover of the RQG zine with you all! It looks absolutely wonderful, and we can promise that the inside of the zine is full of amazing and intricate pieces that showcase the level of skill that our contributors have. We can’t wait for you all to see the zine in its full glory; for now, however, the cover itself will have to do!
The zine will be going on sale 13 February, along with some special extra goodies for all purchasers (more on this later…)
And now, without further ado… the cover!!
Tumblr media
[ID: The cover of the RQG Fanzine, styled to look like an old book cover. It has a deep purple background, and reads “We’re Still Working on the Name” in the center of the page. The text is a stylised, golden font surrounded by gears, spirals, and fancy lines. Underneath is a golden falcon, with its wings spread, sitting directly above the text “A Rusty Quill Gaming Fanzine”. At the two bottom corners of this inner section are two stylised hearts. This section is shaped like an arched window, bordered with double golden lines. The area outside of this section is filled with different party motifs, also done in gold. There are arrows on the top left of the page, pointing toward the top corner, and flames on the top right, doing the same. The two sides are mostly symmetrical, containing daggers, wrenches, and gears. The bottom of the page has stylised waves. The outermost part of the border is a series of spirals.]
