Teen Titans Go! vs Teen Titans movie review/rant
I didn’t have high hopes for this movie after the trailer and the exclusive clip came out but I got surprised.
WARNING! SPOILERS!
Things that lowered the movie’s standards for me:
1. You can basically figure out the plot from the intro to the movie.
2. There seemed to be more focus towards the TTGO! characters/ TTGO! Raven
3. The way the OG Titans were introduced seemed too sudden and unrealistic
4. The Master of Games should at least look a little like the one from the 03 cartoon or have a different name.
5. OG Raven’s battle cry was absolutely weird and ooc for her. She’d not cry going into battle at most.
6. Although Starfire and OG Starfire could become friends it happened too soon imo.
7. OG Robin was the most OOC out of them except for when this rap battle came on.
8. Why did everyone join in that rap battle almost immediately? (More specifically, why did OG Starfire help initiate it?)
9. The outfits look good but at the same time weird (and don’t let me talk about BB’s hairstyle)
10. Apparently, Go Terra hates Go BB so why was she shown swooning on the piano over him?
11. OG Terra was shown as a statue although by season 5, the statue was gone so the timeline is messed up too.
12. Trigon can only be awakened on Raven’s birthday if I remember right so it shouldn’t make sense for the GO Trigon to be able to resurrect OG Trigon
13. When OG Star, Cyborg and BB sang this weird song with the Go versions, GO Cyborg says that it was for screentime, implying that the OG versions of them (and maybe themselves) weren’t important to this movie or the writers had no idea how make them fit into this story.
14. Cyborg apparently is excited that the GO versions have a Santa.
15. When they sneak into Santa’s workshop, the OG Titans are seen to sneak in (comically imo). Just walk silently!
16. OG Trigon is made into a joke by the way GO Trigon is trying to feed him soda (which he technically wouldn’t need since he’s not human).
17. BB said ‘My Terra died’ although they were never seen using death or die in the old show.
18. The OG Titans don’t look really like the old versions of them (like Raven’s and Cyborg’s lips look different from the old show)
19. The two Cyborg’s teamup and fusion was weird imo.
20. The whole ‘eat me’ part by OG Raven was both OOC and gross.
21. OG Trigon has been shown to be inferior when it was Go Trigon eating him and not the other way around.
22. The chart during the rap battle should’ve indicated that Teen Titans has better ratings, not Teen Titans Go. (And the timing is wrong too. Teen Titans Go came out in 2013 not 2003)
23. There was so less screentime for the JC Titans (from the animated movie) and almost no lines from them. (And some other versions were just weird)
24. Control Freak should’ve been the main villain since it was implied that he created Teen Titans Go and Trigon is overrated and weak in that movie.
25. The New Teen Titans from those DC animation shorts were absent.
26. It was OOC of OG Raven to ask her own dad if he was thirsty (and basically go along with thinking that he’d get thirsty because he’s a demon).
27. I would’ve kinda liked to see Raven and BB’s reaction to see their go versions (particularly when GO Raven was on the ground and Go BB was above her). (This isn’t really related but I just thought that both would feel uncomfortable seeing their go versions like that).
28. Go Robin’s line of there won’t be another crossover movie for at least a year seems to poke fun at the 03 versions and their fans as if to say that you have to deal with us and get over your old show.
29. The fact that the OG Titans shook hands with their GO versions seems to be a bit off to me, especially when some openly stated that they were cool. But apparently, they were annoyed once the go versions left.
30. The only time they were chilling together was through a weird song to which OG BB, Star, and Cyborg just joined in for no reason.
31. The OG versions of BB and Cyborg were seen working out during their supposed down time which seems unrealistic. They could’ve at least taken a tour around the tower or eaten something.
32. Why didn’t the OG Titans refuse to fight their Go versions if they knew that there was something off? (They got kidnapped from their own dimensions!)
33. When the teams were fighting Trigon, Go Robin said they needed a plan and the OG versions of Star, Cy, and BB looked at Robin like they couldn’t think for themselves.
The few good points:
1. Raven seemed mostly in character (besides Starfire, BB, and Cyborg)
I can’t think of any more!

I am opening point commissions on deviantart!
I really need some extra points since I am unable to request commissions any other way. (So it won’t help me financially but it still means a lot). Your points are exchanged for a fanfiction or poem of your choice (since I can’t draw well). Be aware that the fanfiction must be either about Naruto or Teen Titans (or maybe a few other shows like Regular Show or The amazing world of Gumball) since I know these shows the most. Poems can be about anything you want. You can find examples of my works and more information at: HinataHyuUchiha.deviantart.com
Other examples of my Teen Titans fanfictions can be found here.
I have set the amount of points to 80 per work (but if that’s not a reasonable price, I’m willing to lower it).
But in order to commission me, you need to have a deviantart account (and points), otherwise it won’t work!
I’d really appreciate it if you at least spread the word around.

Gaming night
The controller felt warm in his gloved hands and the screen stared back at him as bright pixels of colored light illuminated the screen. Of course it would feel that way if you had to sit for 20 minutes for an opponent worthy of your skills to challenge you to a race off on the newest and hardest racing game yet. But of course, Beast Boy could also understand if they were scared of losing – or that was what he thought. “Dude, I can totally understand if you’re scared out of your wits but how do you think you can beat me if you just chicken out of every challenge?” Beast Boy chastised his best friend who just stepped out of the kitchen. Cyborg shot him an angry glare. “And who was the one who beat you just this morning in the same game you want to play right now? I think it’s not me who is scared but you who is just a sore loser,” the half-robot smirked afterwards. “You cheated!” Beast Boy shouted, pointing an accusing finger at him. “How is telling you that ‘Robin is behind us’ called cheating?” “You know how he acts when the bad guy gets past him. Remember he just shut off the Gamestation in the middle of my boss fight the last time?” Beast Boy cried. “I just told you that he was behind us, not staring at us. It was your fault for turning back,” Cyborg said, visibly enjoying how the shape-shifter pouted angrily. “And its 11:00 at night and I need to recharge,” the half-robot mumbled before he walked out of the common room. Beast Boy scoffed, seeing that even his best friend left him alone. Ok…he asked Starfire and Robin already. So the one that was left was…Raven. This was one hard nut he had to crack yet – but what could he do after even glue didn’t work? And he certainly didn’t feel like waiting for another 20 minutes to give her space to come out of her room herself. With a sigh, the shape-shifter stood up, making his way towards the half-demon’s room and wondering how he possibly could convince her to play. He came to a stop in front of Raven’s room, rehearsing his possible lines of persuasion, starting with the simplest one. “Hey, Rae! I know you’re a night owl and probably don’t sleep at night so…I thought maybe you-“ Her door slid open and Raven appeared in front of him. “No!” she replied curtly and his face fell in utter astonishment. “W-what are you doing here? I thought you were meditating.” “I was…until I heard your annoying voice from behind my door,” she replied and floated past him. “And you suddenly changed your mind?” “What makes you think that?” Raven inquired. “You didn’t give me any looks and I’m pretty sure that’s the way to the common room,” the shape-shifter felt a smirk pulling on his face. “You know I didn’t have exactly a good day, Beast Boy!” she said annoyed and Beast Boy remembered that she almost got crushed under a collapsing roof today. “I’m going to the roof,” she replied in her monotone voice. “For what – watching stars?” he asked confused. “To get some sleep,” she replied before she disappeared at the end of the hallway. Beast Boy let out a tired sigh as he found himself alone once again before his head shot up. Raven just reminded him that there was someone else who might want to try her luck. The shape-shifter dashed excitedly along the corridor before he came to a stop in front of another door. “Terra?” he asked carefully, not wanting to wake her if she was asleep. At first no sound came out…but right before he wanted to turn away, he heard Terra’s angry grunt from beneath the door. He stepped inside the room and saw that Terra sat in the middle of her room, her back facing him. Slowly, he walked around her and he looked on in confusion. Several rocks of different sizes floated in front of the sixth Titan, circling around each other one by one. One swung to the left and another swung to the right as the rocks passed over or below one another, covered in a yellow glow. And as the rocks kept moving in small circles, Terra’s fingers twitched to their movement, directing them to her will. Suddenly one of the rocks, moved out of its orbit and flung sharply to the front, lodging itself inside the wall next to the door. Terra narrowed her eyes angrily, realizing that she had lost yet another rock. She closed her eyes. “What are you doing?” She gasped before the glow from her hand and the rocks disappeared. She glanced away, not even meeting his eyes. “Nothing,” she mumbled as her gaze fell to her clenched hands in front of her. But he caught the hint of disappointment in them and a smile spread on his face, realizing that this had to do with Raven’s mood today. “Wanna know how to get those fingers back in shape?” She looked up in confusion at him. “Just trust me!” he said and took her hand. “Why do you think my fingers-“ “Don’t worry! It’ll be fun!” he said and pulled the confused girl out of her room. They reached the common room and Beast Boy dropped himself on the couch, pulling her into sitting position next to him. “Beast Boy!” Terra cried annoyed before a controller landed in her hands and her annoyance changed to confusion. Her eyes shifted to the TV and saw that the shape-shifter already chose his car from the roster. “This might help,” she heard him say and her eyes lowered in sadness. “I-I’m not sure,” she murmured, her fingers running along the various buttons on the controller. “You won’t know unless you try, right? And I think you might be a worthy opponent,” he smirked smugly. She managed a smile, hearing the word ‘worthy’. Her head moved towards the screen and the shape-shifter’s mood lifted when seeing her choose a car as well before the race began. “Ready, set…go!” Terra immediately pressed down onto the button on her right, propelling her car forward, Beast Boy’s car following close behind. The track was straight at first, the two cars passing each other at close intervals before the first curve came up. “Just stay away from those falling boulders,” Beast Boy said, his car moving closer to the outer part of the curve. “What boulders? I don’t-“ Suddenly rocks of large sizes rolled down from the mountainous side along the track and one of them slammed full force into her car, almost causing her car to skid off the track and down the canyon. But Terra managed to gain control with rapid button mashing and followed the changeling’s car along a sloping street now. “You could have told me about those,” Terra said but the changeling shrugged it off. “And risk losing to you? Nu-uh.” Terra frowned upon his reply and pressed onto a button to her right side of the controller. Suddenly her car burst forward as the car’s exhausts burst with blue flames. Her car rammed his from the side as she was about to pass him along another sharp curve. But the changeling kept his control on his vehicle, slowly forcing her towards the mountain to her left. Her car rammed the rocks once before Beast Boy pressed the same button she still had her finger on before his car shot forward for a moment. Terra’s car though made a sharp turn after having hit the rocky mountain wall, currently speeding towards the edge of the track. The shape-shifter snuck a peek at her and saw that her concentrated expression vanished as she let out a frustrated groan. “Don’t tell me you want to give up now? You might still make it…that is if you can make it to me,” he said self-confident. Terra, once again managed to make the car obey her and stop the spinning before she pressed the button for the nitrous boost again. It didn’t take long for Terra’s car to be again behind the changeling’s, fighting for a way to pass him. But as the two vehicles sped down a sharp slope, Terra loosened her grip on her controller after she ran out of nitrous and the shape-shifter caught on that. She had felt her fingers’ movement increase in pace and precision when she pressed the various buttons alternatively ever since she stated playing with him and she realized what Beast Boy meant when he said he found a way to help her get her hands under better control. But he also showed her that she still had a long way to go – just like with her powers. If only she could beat him, then maybe… “Incoming!” she heard the shape-shifter cry out in panic before she saw that the changeling’s car made a full stop as a boulder rolled past the front of his car. Terra clutched the controller in sudden motion before her car made a sharp turn, hitting Beast Boy’s car from behind in the process. And her eyes opened wide, as his car made a sharp turn to the left…before she saw that it disappeared as it tumbled down the canyon. The words ‘Game Over’ flashed on his side of the screen. The shape-shifter felt a warm feeling spreading through him, seeing a smile spread slowly on Terra’s face. “What just happened?” Beast Boy cried, ‘devastated’ that he had been taken out half-way in the race. Terra glanced at him before her eyes wandered back to the screen, the moments just now replaying in her mind. “Yeah. How did that happen, Beast Boy?” she asked and faced him with a scrutinizing look. “Huh? How should I know? Your car just rammed me full-force and-“ “You know this game better than I do. You knew on what side of the track to drive to avoid those boulders and you always kept me on your tail, once even almost shoving me off the track – all without even breaking a sweat,” she said, her voice hinting at suspicion. “I guess…you’re a worthy opponent,” he smiled and she realized that he was lying to her. In one sudden movement, Terra wrapped her arms around him in a tight hug, causing him to drop his controller. “That’s the nicest thing somebody has ever told me,’ she smiled before she removed her arms from him and came across his blushing face. “And I guess I can tell those rocks now who’s boss,” she smirked. Beast Boy’s blush faded, hearing her sentence. She was lying. He smiled at her, seeing her hopeful expression. Sometimes a little lie is all one needs to make someone happy.

Breaking apart
The power flowed beneath her like blood in her veins as she stared at her glowing hand. She closed her eyes after she had laid her eyes on the shape-shifter’s anticipated expression. ‘It’s your choice’ he had said. “Don’t do it, Terra!” 5 other voices shouted indistinctly at the same time. And she realized that they were still having doubts – they would never trust her the same way. After all, they all had their weapons drawn, waiting for her to drop the pillar upon Beast Boy – the pillar she formed on her own will. A smirk formed on her face and Beast Boy’s face revealed fear, realizing that he couldn’t reach out to her. “You never know when to give up, do you? Then I guess I have to make you,” she sneered before she lowered her hand. “Terra!” “No!” Their horrified shouts were music to her ears as the pillar shot downwards, before Terra realized that they had shot out their attacks at her at the same time. Beast Boy braced for the impact and closed his eyes. He felt the ground rumble under him before suddenly it caved in and collapsed, dropping him into a dark bottomless pit. He felt a huge explosion occurring above him before his eyes opened wide, seeing Terra’s determined face staring at him before she formed a protective shield around them. And then a horrible crash rang his ears before he passed out. Meanwhile in Slade’s lair, the smoke of the explosion began to thin out. “What?” Robin’s eyes couldn’t believe to see that Terra and Beast Boy had vanished. “Slade! Where is she?” the leader asked angrily. Slade took a step back. “All I can tell you is that you failed to save your friend,” he spoke and the team focused their attention on him. “No! Terra hasn’t killed him…but we won’t give her any chances anymore. She is now our enemy…and the next time we meet…I will make sure she will pay for her crime,” Robin declared before lashing out at Slade. The masked villain caught the fist before turning on a switch that revealed a timer on the large screen on the wall. “I would not make any wrong move now, Robin,” Slade said in triumph and Robin narrowed his eyes at his arch-nemesis before nodding towards his team. Robin turned around and along with his team, escaped the lair that was about to explode, unknown that Terra’s lifeless body had been behind Slade. Beast Boy’s eyes slowly opened and he was surprised to find himself on a bed other than his own – in a room other than his own. “Robin? Please tell me we are on vacation,” he mumbled, holding his head that still felt heavy. “I’m sorry,” came a voice and the shape-shifter spun around, hearing Terra’s voice. “Terra? W-what happened?” not sure how he felt, seeing his crush that just tried to kill him standing in front of him. “Slade…he tricked you. He tricked all of us. That girl that tried to kill you – it wasn’t me!” “What? Terra…I saw you,” he cried, hurt obvious in his voice as his brows furrowed. “That wasn’t me! Ever since I ran away when we first met…I have been staying clear of Slade. Until one day, I was cruising through the city and saw you on the news…along with myself,” she said and her eyes shut. Beast Boy couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Could he even trust her words? “Where are we?” he asked, his voice having a hard edge to it. “In a hotel on the outskirts of Jump City.” Jump City – so he could still get to his team…and tell them about Slade’s plan. “Then let’s go! Robin is probably worried sick,” Beast Boy cried excitedly and jumped from the bed before Terra held him back. “Terra, we have to-“ He stopped when he saw the tears in her eyes. “Slade would have won anyways – because he made a clone of me. Now your friends are looking for me so they can kill me. I’m nothing but a traitor to them.” “But you saved me!” the shape-shifter retorted. “Could you believe that after seeing the complete opposite just moments ago? I can’t go back. I’m so sorry,” the blonde-haired girl sobbed, her hands clenched to fists. “Please go! Go and tell them that you managed to survive my attack.” With that she cried into her hands, waiting for him to leave. Beast Boy hated to see her crying – no matter what mistakes she did, she didn’t deserve to be treated this way. He removed her hands from her face and she looked at him in surprise, as her tears continued to stream down her face. “Then let’s hide together, ok?” he murmured before giving her a smile. She closed her eyes, refusing to let him sacrifice himself for her. “No! You can’t just-“ She never finished her sentence because the shape-shifter decided to silence her with a kiss. “Beast Boy?” she asked confused, pulling away eventually. “But I have to run…and find someplace to crash in. You can’t do this! You have friends.” “Then I guess we have to look for one together. You’re one of my friends after all,” he smiled at her and Terra felt a strange feeling spread through her. And when she felt his lips upon hers once again, she realized that this was how trust felt before she let herself be immersed in that feeling. It was 11:00 when she heard the whispered hush of the shape-shifter and she groggily sat up, the blankets slipping slightly from her body. “Terra! Rise and shine!” “What is it?” she asked annoyed before he gave her a confused look. “Don’t tell me you forgot that you’re a wanted girl already,” he asked and chuckled afterwards. “What’s so funny?” she said before she realized that her upper body was completely bare and she quickly covered herself with the blanket that had slipped beneath her waist. “Beast Boy!?” she shouted angrily, realizing why she was bare. “Don’t worry. I didn’t go anywhere below the waist. That was still private property,” he smirked and the girl’s face turned into a tomato. “Can we go now? I don’t think you want to stay here until they find you.” She lowered her eyes, before a small smile appeared on her face. “Let’s hit the road!” “And what happened to your team?” Beast Boy broke out of his thoughts, seeing his daughter staring expectantly at him. “I…haven’t really seen them ever since.” She had blonde, short hair and wore black shorts with a dark blue, sleeveless shirt. “Do you…ever miss them?” The shape-shifter lowered his gaze, his teammates’ faces flashing before his eyes. “I guess that’s a ‘yes,’” came another, deeper voice and Beast Boy came face to face with his younger son. He also had blonde hair but his skin had a greenish tint to it, his ears were pointed and he had fangs like his father and his ice blue eyes were very calculating, up to a point where Beast Boy had once a nightmare even. He wore a dark red T-shirt above a black shirt and wore fitting black pants, a silver chain hanging loosely from it. “And did they ever find out about the clone?” Beast Boy looked up to his son’s face, realizing that he couldn’t possibly answer this question. “Mark! Tiana! Dinner’s ready.” The two kids went into the kitchen upon their mother calling them but not before Tiana shot one final glance at her father. The two kids went to sleep after lunch, having gotten used to New York’s heavy and noisy traffic. “Why do you think dad didn’t answer?” Tiana asked her brother with curiosity, realizing that it wasn’t her dad’s nature to be so quiet. “Because his team is stupid,” Mark answered with hint of anger. “But they will change their minds. Trust me.” Terra slowly woke from her restless sleep, having gotten thirsty and went to the kitchen but stopped before her children’s room. She missed them, having not seen them for most of the day since she was too occupied with her work at the coffee shop. She slowly opened the door…and stared at the empty beds that were on either side of the room. “Beast Boy!” “Are you sure this is the place?” Tiana asked unsurely as they walked on the streets of a city they believe to be Jump City. “I mean what if we’re in the wrong city?” “Will this prove that we’re in the right place?” Mark asked, pointing to a large T-shaped tower in the distance. “And we have to walk all this way to the Tower?” she cried in disbelief. And in that moment, a giant hulk by the name of Mammoth rammed full-force against the young boy, causing him to tumble across the floor before he caught himself, getting back onto his feet. “Oh, I’m so not sorry for that ‘cause I was in a hurry,” Mammoth laughed, carrying a suitcase under his bulky arm. “Well, you should be,” Mark said before his blue eyes glowed yellow, causing the ground in front of the HIVE member to lift a bit. Mammoth tumbled to the ground, losing the suitcase but he quickly got to his feet and reached out for it once again, only for a green lion to slam against him, sending him back onto the ground. “What? I thought you left those losers?” Mark suddenly realized that he was talking about his father and he growled in anger. “That’s it! Teach him a lesson!” Tiana cheered for her brother as 4 certain heroes looked on in awe as one kid managed to take out the strongest member of the HIVE. “Behind you!” Raven cried, as a ray of pink magic shot out around her. Tiana spun around before her skin hardened, causing her to become petrified. The pink rays easily sliced through her a few times before her stony remains rolled onto the ground. “No!” Starfire cried before she lashed out at the pink-haired witch. Robin was about to tell his team to aid Starfire when he saw the rocky remains of the girl slowly rolling back together before they fused. And in mere moments the girl’s statue was back in shape before she returned to flesh and bone again. “I have to tell you I’m quite sturdy,” the girl smirked before she lashed out, her hardened fist catching the girl in her jaw. Mark joined his sister before his glance was directed towards the Teen Titans. “We want to join your team.” “What?” Raven said in disbelief. “We want to be Teen Titans!” Tiana said this time. Movement caught the siblings’ eyes as both Mammoth and Jinx attacked at the same time. Mark turned into a winged dinosaur and Tiana jumped on its back as he took off, escaping the pink rays of destruction. Tiana turned to stone once more and jumped off, her control over rocks enabling her the skill of flight as she charged at the pink witch. But Jinx was fast and managed to evade. Mark came up behind his sister but Mammoth was already headed for him. The boy turned into a gorilla and grabbed his sister’s arm before swinging her in a circle, slamming both Mammoth and Jinx to the ground, her leg breaking in the process. Titana’s leg began assembling not long after before she turned back to her usual self. Mark also reverted back and stepped up to the heroes, his eyes resting on the blue bird imprinted on black fabric of the leader of the group. “So?” he asked, cocking an eyebrow. “I…have to say that you guys…were impressive. Where are you from?” the former Robin - now Nightwing asked. “Where we come from doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is that if you trust us,” Mark said, his eyes narrowing. “Trust you?” he asked, taken off-guard by that straight- forwardness. “We know that the ones that become Titans…managed to gain your trust and you trust them in return,” Tiana joined in. “Who are you?” Raven asked, feeling a strange familiarity towards them. “The way you talk – the way you look – your powers – it’s like you were already part of this team.” Their eyes showed seriousness…and a hint of hurt at Raven’s words. “You should know,” Mark said. Unknown to them, Beast Boy and Terra hid behind a car, close enough to be in hearing range. “But why do you want to join?” Cyborg asked and both turned to him. “We want to join for truth, justice…” both said before footsteps sounded behind them. “But you can scratch pizza for dinner,” Terra said angrily and both kids looked in sadness and surprise at their parents. “I know it sounds unbelievable but-“ “I don’t want to hear it!” Terra cried angrily. “Please, just listen-“Tiana begged when another voice beat her to it. “Congratulations.” Both children turned around to be presented with two yellow communicators. The slowly took them from Nightwing and Starfire’s hands before they turned around and held them out towards Beast Boy and Terra. “What?” “You…don’t want them?” Beast Boy asked confused. “We just wanted to prove your innocence.” “We wanted to prove…that you two are the most trustworthy people there are,” Mark said before suddenly both kids were wrapped in tight hugs as their mother cried tears of happiness. “You…shouldn’t have…” she sobbed, holding her daughter close. “But we want to,” Nightwing said and the parents were rewarded with a smile from their former team. Unknown to all of them, Tiana and Mark secretly high-fived each other, still being embraced by their parents – no Titans.

Mutual Emotions
Grey, heavy clouds hung over Jump City and a strong wind blew across the streets. Footsteps tapped quickly along the pavement, making little splashing sounds when they made contact with the wet ground. Heavy breathing accompanied the sound of the rushing feet as blonde hair flew wildly in the wind. School had just let out and the person dressed in school uniform felt the chill slowly get to her before she finally came to a bus stop. The sky lit up for a moment as lightning zapped through it. The girl in school clothes tried to catch her breath as she waited for the next bus home. Unknown to her, someone stood not far from her after he stopped in his tracks when he spotted her standing drenched in the rain. He lifted the umbrella a bit after he and his friends had been given it by a very persistent, red-haired friend of his. He watched the girl tilt her head slightly; trying to see if the bus was approaching. She straightened up and stared ahead with an unreadable expression. He slowly moved closer to the girl, now standing between a man in a dark-blue raincoat who stood not far from the girl. He sneaked a peek but the girl didn’t seem to notice and suddenly his nervousness was making itself obvious – something he didn’t feel for 2 months. She probably hadn’t expected this weather or maybe just forgot to bring an umbrella he thought as he watched the raindrops drip from her golden locks and her dark skirt. He inched past the man in the rain coat but the girl still didn’t move. And the boy wondered if she would get angry if she saw that he was following her but it was too late as he found himself already standing next to her. She didn’t seem to notice since she lowered her gaze to her shoes, watching raindrops soak into her shoes. She would definitely get sick! Another flash of light illuminated the sky before the boy slowly moved his umbrella towards her until part of it hovered above her head. The boy’s gaze lowered to her face and saw that the ground below her was cast in the shadow of his umbrella and his heart suddenly increased its beating. A loud thunder echoed in the sky but the girl seemed to be oblivious to it all. Only when the bus pulled up, did she finally look up and moved out from under the umbrella to get into the bus. The boy hurried after her and placed himself on a seat behind her, not wanting to make it obvious that he was watching her. The girl shifted her view to the window, watching as buildings and trees moved past her. Her eyes rested for a moment on a flying plastic bag that floated in the air, as if it would be doing acrobatics…or dancing. The boy behind her followed her gaze and looked out of the window as well but except a flying plastic bag and swaying trees, nothing interesting caught his attention and he shifted his view back to the blonde-haired girl when his eyes opened in surprise. The girl began tracing something on the windowpane before she stood up as the bus pulled up on the next stop. The boy stood up as well but stopped in front of the fogged up windowpane and he cocked his head in confusion. On the windowpane were the trails of a capital T that had been encased in a heart. T? What did the T stand for? Suddenly he remembered the girl and he rushed out of the bus, looking left and right before he spotted her by a stop sign. He walked up to her, opening the umbrella again but waited for a moment behind her. Would she run away when she saw him? He decided to take a risk and lifted the umbrella over her head once again and she started walking right after her head had stopped receiving raindrops. He followed her suit and soon fell into step with her. But he still avoided eye-contact, seeing that she hadn’t tried to reach out to him in any way. So he remained silent as they passed building after building, streetlight after streetlight and he wondered where the girl lived, knowing that she couldn’t live on the streets. Or could she? Another flash illuminated the sky before a loud thunder broke through the silent streets. The wind picked up speed, causing the girls clothes to flutter wildly about her. But the boy observed out of the corner of his eye that she didn’t seem bothered by it. The sky grew darker before the streetlamps turned on, providing the city with light as they turned a corner. And suddenly the girl picked up her pace, temporarily moving out from under the shelter of his umbrella before he caught up with her again. But she again moved away, increasing her pace gradually, literally jogging away from him as he tried to reach up to her. But then he slowed down. Maybe she didn’t want to see him after all? He reluctantly came to a stop…before she did the same and he arched an eyebrow in confusion. Why did she stop? He resumed his approach carefully but she stood still, not even bothered by the rain that pelted her. Once again, lifting the umbrella, he found himself swallowing. Why was he so nervous? Was it…because she was…giving him a second chance? Another flash appeared in the sky and right before the portable shelter managed to protect her from the rain…she started to move away again. But this time…she was skipping! Moving in zigzag motion, she skipped like a child that had just gotten a lollipop from her father. His umbrella gradually lowered, seeing her smile as she did a turn, before her retreating back faced him again. He followed the merry girl as she practically danced in the rain and felt his heart skip a beat when he heard her laughing. Why was she happy? A smile forced itself upon his lips seeing her happy at all after such a long time and he closed the umbrella. Maybe they didn’t need any shelter from the rain. Morphing into a puppy, the boy rushed after the girl before jumping right into a puddle. The girl didn’t stop though, and followed the dog’s example and stepped into a bigger puddle a bit further. Her laughter gained in volume as she began sprinting around the next corner, the dog trying to keep next to her before another flash appeared in the sky, leaves scattering in the blowing wind. The girl finally came to a stop by a coffee shop and the dog watched her catch her breath from all that running. And his eyes rested on the neon sign. ‘Ben’s.’ The dog morphed back into human as the girl straightened up and turned to face him. Her expression was unreadable and he wondered if it was wrong to have followed her until here. Maybe he misunderstood everything and she simply didn’t know he was following her. Maybe…he had been following the wrong girl again. The girl moved the hair out of her face as the wind played with it and nostalgia filled the air – and certain words with it. “…just a memory…” The boy’s expression turned solemn, hearing her voice in his head. But that picture she traced on the windowpane in the bus – this wasn’t a memory. It had to be something positive, something real. He stared into her eyes, hoping that he could find answers to her real thoughts about…him – his friends…even herself. She didn’t avoid eye-contact this time and didn’t even flinch as thunder and lightning broke through the thick clouds. And his heart skipped a beat when he saw a smile slowly spread on her face. She knew that he had been following her! A light blush appeared on his face at being played before he saw that she slowly stepped backwards. Getting the hint, he did the same as a smile of his own spread on his face before he turned away. She watched him run for a short distance before with a high leap, he morphed into a hawk and flew into the stormy night. With a warm feeling in her body, she entered the coffee shop. She never needed an umbrella.

Anniversary (for cyanwings )
The sun was glaring down at the inhabitants and a blonde-haired schoolgirl was just walking around the corner along with her two friends when suddenly Cinderblock came crashing through one of the stores onto the street. The three girls cried out before jumping back, hiding behind the corner before certain heroes tried to fend off the large stone giant. Terra gasped seeing her former friends being so close to her again and she quickly turned away. “BB! Get your behind over here!” Cyborg called, evading a light post. “He probably wants us to fight for him too, just because it’s his birthday,” Raven muttered annoyed before the shape-shifter rammed Cinderblock full-force in T-Rex form. “That’s not true! Who was the one that cleaned the tower for you guys?” he boasted when he turned back. “And with ‘whole’ tower, I’m guessing you mean your room?” Raven mocked, causing the green titan to glare at her in annoyance before they just managed to evade Cinderblock’s fists. “How about we focus on our enemy first before planning Beast Boy’s birthday?” Robin suggested and the others nodded in agreement before charging. It’s…Beast Boy’s birthday? This thought spun in Terra’s mind like a Ferris Wheel before she dashed away. “Hey where are you going?” Amber called after her. “Just remembered that I gotta run some errands. See ya!” Terra waved back before turning the corner. “What’s up with her?” Dionne asked and the other shrugged her shoulders before they continued to watch the fight between the city’s heroes and the stone giant. Okay, what does someone need for a cool birthday? Terra’s brows furrowed as she thought. “Hmm…cake, gifts, maybe some flowers…” she mumbled before a small smile appeared on her face. “Cake first,” she said a bit out of breath, before turning left around the next corner and she kept running until she came to a familiar coffee shop. She entered and quickly walked over to the counter. “I need the best pie you have.” The woman looked confused at first before she smiled and disappeared in the back room and Terra found herself tapping impatiently against the counter until she came back. But her smile faltered, seeing that the woman had only a slice of pie on the plate. “Uh…what I meant was that I need a whole pie…and I kinda want to take it with me,” Terra said a bit unsurely. Why did making a pie take so long? If she didn’t hurry…she might miss him. This time, Terra switched to pacing back and forth until the lady came back with her cake box and she grabbed it almost too eagerly and slammed the money on the counted before she race-walked out of the shop. “So…I guess flowers will be next,” she murmured and rushed to the closest flower shop which took her about 15 minutes of walking to get her there. The sound of a bell marked her arrival and the florist looked up eagerly from her phone. “Welcome!” Terra froze when she said that word. What kinds of flowers did Beast Boy actually like? She held one hand to her head to remember and actually regretted really forgetting some part of him. “Uh…do you know what kinds of flowers are good for Birthday occasions?” Terra asked, hoping that her sentence made actual sense. “Of course! We have a large variety to choose from, ranging from-“ Ranging? Did it mean that there were more than one or two flowers to choose from? Terra felt sorry for her wallet and knew she’ll do a mistake but she did it anyways. “Can you give me one from each?” she asked, forcing a smile on her face. “From each? You know that this will be over 20 different kinds of flowers in one bouquet, right? And some of those flowers are not exactly wallet-friendly.” Terra gave a vehement nod, determined not to ruin his special day by saving up all her money. The florist started picking random flowers of different sizes, color, smell, and complexion before tying them up with a large red ribbon and handing it to the blonde-haired girl. Terra pointed to the counter for the money before she waddled out of the shop, half of her vision blocked by a large leaf of one of her bigger flowers in her bouquet. “Last but not least…the gift,” she sighed, her arms starting to grow tired after a while as she walked towards her last destination. Her eyes wandered over key chains, porcelain figures, and heart-shaped boxes in the various display cases of the shops she passed. Heart-shaped boxes… Terra’s eyes wandered more quickly, looking for similar-looking items, remembering the heart-shaped box Beast Boy had made for her. And for a moment, she began to miss it. She blinked, not wanting to stop her search because of some unexpected memories before her eyes rested on a star-shaped, silver box. Terra rushed inside. “How much is that silver star in your display case?” she asked and the young man crooked his head to find said item. “Oh…that’s 20 dollars,” he replied and Terra’s face fell. 20 bucks? She barely had 10 dollars left! “Anything for 10 dollars?” she asked meekly before the man pointed. “Yeah, that would be the key chains.” Terra felt her mood sinking, seeing that the key chains looked like they had been sprayed on with color and looked more like plastic toys…not to mention they all were of the same white skull. “Uh…thanks.” So much for a perfect Birthday… Terra exited the shop with an audible sigh, wishing she could crawl into a hole and never come out. The girl’s eyes wandered around for anything cheaper that could count as a gift. But there simply wasn’t anything! Terra took the direction back to school, deciding to just forget about this whole Birthday thing, seeing that she couldn’t even manage to get a simple present for him. She closed her eyes, sudden tears threatening to spill and she switched to running, wanting to get away from this bad luck that seemed to chase her. “I hate Birthdays,” she mumbled, not wanting to lose control. Why did she have to waste her time on a birthday on someone who she deemed she didn’t even know? Why did she still care about them? Why…did she want to see him happy? She turned the corner before she cried out in pain and tumbled backwards, the flowers scattering and the cake box falling to the ground. Terra slowly opened her eyes and she saw that she was surrounded by different sized and colored flowers and that the cake had been almost sent flying out of the box, the brown cream smeared over the lid that had landed next to it. Terra clenched her fists angrily, realizing that this destroyed any chance for even a normal birthday. And she let her anger show. “Watch where you’re going!” she screamed, feeling tears welling up in her eyes before she looked up…and gasped before she scrambled to get up. Beast Boy gave her a look that was a mix of confusion and apology and longing as he was still sprawled on the ground. Terra closed her eyes, wishing that she was just sleeping in her room, never even having met Cinderblock today. But when she opened them…he was still gaping at her, this time standing on his feet. The tears retreated and she fixed an annoyed expression on her face and Beast Boy’s gaze shifted to his feet. “Terra? S-sorry I bumped into you like that,” he chuckled nervously. “If you want…I’ll get you new flowers and cake,” he mumbled, glancing at the scattered items before he turned away. “But if not…then I won’t hold you back anymore. You must be running late anyway.” This was one of the things he least expected on his birthday – having one of his wishes actually come true! But a bigger wish he had was that hers would come true – even if it meant that his wouldn’t. Terra’s heart sank, seeing his slumped shoulders like he had been balancing Cinderblock on them and she slowly approached him, wanting to give him at least his birthday present before she would leave him. She gingerly placed a hand on his shoulder and he tensed for a moment before he started to turn around and she sped up the process with the aid of her hand. Barely registering what was happening, Terra pressed her lips on his and closed her eyes, not wanting to see his expression – after all, you give gifts without expecting anything in return. She quickly pulled away, not wanting to give him any time to respond before she turned and rushed away – just in time to hear a startled gasp. “Terra?” “Happy Birthday!” she called back without even turning back. And she knew that he was smiling after her…because that gift could not be bought. That gift came from her heart.
This is for you, @cyanwings Happy Birthday! ♥

A look inside (Bbterra)
It was a seemingly normal day with the seemingly normal routine as 5 heroes rushed out of the Tower to bring another villain to justice. Things have seemed to improved ever since the defeat of the Brotherhood of Evil and a certain shape-shifter seemed to have been able to focus more on his duties as a Titan…and today it showed especially as he managed to surprise and overwhelm Mumbo Jumbo as he hid in his top hat at one point during the fight and emerged as an elephant when he had attempted to pull a trick out of his hat. And the poor magician was crushed under the heavy weight of the animal before being sent to the nearest police station. The team congratulated him on a job well done and a big grin spread on his face that wouldn’t leave him until they passed a particular building – a school to be precise. Beast Boy’s steps slowed a little even though he tried to ignore the indistinct chattering that came from the yard. His friends didn’t seem to have noticed his lagging behind and he couldn’t help himself and he let his eyes wander around for a certain blonde-haired girl. He just wanted to see if she was still here. His heart skipped a beat, seeing her on the other side of the gate, talking to her friends. But he was too far to hear what she was saying…but what he wanted to know was why she had that sad expression on her face. Like she was disappointed about something. “Uh…guys?” The 4 other Titans turned around in confusion. “Mind if I check out the new game center they opened recently?” he asked, hoping they didn’t suspect anything. “Not if you can make it for Starfire’s lunch,” Robin said and Beast Boy gave out a nervous chuckle. “I’ll try to make it in time,” he said and watched them continue on their way home. Beast Boy turned away and breathed a sigh of relief to see Terra still in the yard. Now to find out what was wrong with her – but how could he get close enough without angering or scaring her off? It still hurt remembering the events from a few days ago as she walked away from him. The painful memories were interrupted with a sudden thought and the shape-shifter grinned before morphing into a frog. He leaped through the gate and his green color was perfect for both, choosing this animal and for being camouflaged beneath the grass of the lawn. “You know you can’t participate if you don’t bring one,” the red-head called Amber said matter-of-factly. Terra sighed. “I know. But it’s too late for that. I…just didn’t have time to find one yet.” “But now you can’t come with us. I guess you gotta sit this one out…and suffer bad grades again,” Dionne said. “Sorry we couldn’t help.” “It’s fine. You two better get going before you’ll be late,” she smiled at them and with a sad look in their eyes, they disappeared inside the building. What was it that Terra had to find? Beast Boy tried to figure out what it was that could give someone good grades but still didn’t have to be in school apparently. His train of thought was interrupted when he saw Terra approach him and was about to hop away, not wanting to be found ‘stalking’ her. But her ever growing smile robbed him of his strength. It was so long ago that he had literally seen her eyes sparkle like that and the small frog kept gazing up at her in awe. “I found it…” she whispered. Wait, what? “Did you know you just saved my life?” she asked the confused frog with a smile and slowly scooped him up in her hands, like she was protecting him before she hurried into the building. If frogs could have blushed, then he would be as red as a tomato at hearing Terra’s words and having her hold him like that. He literally felt like he was on cloud 9! Unfortunately his trip to heaven was stopped abruptly when they entered what seemed to be a laboratory and the small frog was faced with curious faces of Terra’s classmates before said girl hurried to her table next to Amber and Dionne. “Terra? What happened?” Amber asked, surprised to see her, “I found one,” she smiled and revealed Beast Boy in frog form to them. “Nice. Seems like this little guy must be your prince charming,” Dionne giggled and Terra giggled with her. Their laughter stopped when the teacher entered and Terra placed Beast Boy in a glass jar. Unfortunately, being in a glass jar prevented Beast Boy from hearing what the teacher was saying. Unknown to him, she was explaining about the internal organs and systems of a few animals. The explanation lasted for about 10 minutes and by the time Terra opened the jar again, he was so bored, he thought that he might have dozed off…maybe it was the lack of oxygen in the jar. Gentle, gloved hands picked him up and the frog made no move to jump out of her hands – he missed her so much that he would give anything to have just a few more minutes with her – even as a frog. His eyes wandered around for a moment and he noticed that each of the other tables had a frog and Beast Boy wondered what they had planned to do with them before seeing some of the other students trying to hold their frogs against the table with arms and legs spread open. And he began to feel worry. Those positions didn’t look comfortable. “And remember, you have to place your index finger between their legs to restrain them. And make sure you hit the back of their head,” the teacher spoke and Beast Boy froze for a moment, feeling Terra following the teacher’s instruction and straightening his little frog legs before sliding her index finger between them to keep him restrained. What’s going on? Terra lifted her arm and the small frog in her hand lifted with her and Beast Boy tried to get free of her dead-lock but saw that he literally couldn’t. He had to morph his way out – and risk Terra some good grades. But before he could even think of what animal he should morph into, he suddenly saw a bright light accompanied with a paralyzing pain as her hand swung downwards against the edge of the table. She placed the dazed frog on the table. “I…I’ve never done this before,” Terra said nervously before Dionne nudged her in her side. “Don’t worry! That’s why the teacher showed you how dissecting a frog is done,” she smiled…and Beast Boy felt sick to his stomach. They were going to dissect him!? That thought gave him the energy needed to managed one leap…before Amber captured him and handed him to Terra again. “First time is always hardest,” she smiled. “Just keep trying,” Please don’t keep trying! Beast Boy still felt a little funny after that hit and he wasn’t sure he would survive another one but he didn’t have the necessary reflexes to escape Terra before she locked her fingers around him again, rendering him immobile. She lifted her hand and Beast Boy prayed to her – making low croaking sounds, hoping she would somehow read him. No use. Her hand came down fast and the pain that followed sent him into unconsciousness. Slowly she spread him out on the table…before reaching for the scalpel. With a shivering hand, Terra placed the scalpel against her former friend’s abdomen. It’s just a frog…so why couldn’t she do it? “Are you ok?” Amber asked. “Do you want us to take over?” Dionne asked now but Terra kept focusing on the breathing of the frog. She couldn’t do it. And an idea popped into her head. “I…think I’m…feeling sick,” she mumbled and pretended to fall, letting her hand swipe across the table on purpose and sneakily catching the frog in her other hand. “Terra!” both friends cried in alarm but she got back up to reassure them. “It’s…fine. I just…need to go to the bathroom real quick,” she mumbled before receiving permission from her teacher. She entered the bathroom and placed the frog on the sink before washing her face. She did feel a bit sick. Terra turned back to the frog…before it turned into the shape-shifter in front of her very eyes. “B-Beast Boy?” Terra leaned closer to make sure it was him before that nauseous feeling spread in her for a moment, She had almost dissected him! “That…was the worst dream I’ve…ever had,” the changeling groaned before his eyes fluttered open and lifted his head. And both stared at the other in absolute shock and confusion, one because it hadn’t been a dream and the other, because she hadn’t killed him. “It…wasn’t a dream,” she mumbled, leaning a bit closer and Beast Boy suddenly felt glad that it wasn’t a dream. Because just then, Terra fell into his arms.
Another bbterra story. :)

Regrets (BBTerra)
She was fed-up. Once again did the green Titan stand before her and Terra felt a sudden, burning heat inside her explode. “I hate you! I never want to see you again!” she screamed at the top of her lungs before turning around and dashing away. And then her eyes opened and she wiped them, wetness sticking to her finger before she stood up and slowly got dressed to get to school like every morning. She would ignore dreams like these - they didn’t mean anything. It didn’t take long until she got to class and she was glad that she made it in time - sometimes, her disturbed sleep would cause her to oversleep during the day and she’d end up coming late to class. The Math lesson soon began but Terra found herself unable to concentrate - the voices were like a hum in her ears and her eyelids felt strangely heavy - but she forced her tiredness back. The bell woke her from her trance and she made her way out of class with her two friends - although her lowered mood and decreasing hours of sleep kept the two worried, she tried not to show it - and probably failed at that. Terra excused herself and went to the bathroom while her two friends went ahead. Deciding to refresh herself, the girl washed her face to fight her tiredness but even though her eyelids weren’t that heavy anymore, she still had the feeling that she was distracted - that her mind wasn’t where it was supposed to be. Maybe some fresh air could give her a clear head. She strolled out of the building and into the yard, walking slowly along the school’s gate while on the lookout for her friends. But she stopped, seeing a group of very familiar superheroes passing her by as duty called them once again. And once, she saw a certain shape-shifter glance her way and seemingly even slowing his steps…it was as if she was hit by a wave of emotions and for some strange reason, tears filled her eyes and she turned away. This wasn’t something new actually - a few times the Titans would pass her school, the changeling would glance her way and refrain from calling out to her or stopping in his tracks like he used to do. But…simply seeing him - simply knowing that he still wanted to look at her, filled her with grief. And this was the last straw! She ran as if being hunted by a wild beast and rushed out of the school gates to get away from the uncomfortable glances directed her way - but mostly, she wanted to get away from him. She couldn’t see him anymore! Something in her mind was eating away her very soul and whenever he was around, all she wanted to do was faint and hope he would vanish. But he wouldn’t - he was always there and because of this, she would sometimes lie awake at night until the morning if she didn’t use something to help her get to sleep. But it seemed that it wasn’t helpful in the long run as she even once took sleeping pills directly after school so she could get to sleep once she got home. Sometimes, she even thought of leaving Jump City but whenever she remembered the reason for leaving, it would only want to make her stay instead and she would always feel torn between decisions - she always had been indecisive and was probably destined to stay like that forever. Just like she was destined to run forever. She ran and ran, tears streaming down her face and curses and whimpers escaping her throat as she crossed street after street. But as she turned an alley, she tripped, falling forward onto the ground and scraping her palms in the process. And she lay there for a moment, letting all her pain out without caring if someone saw her. Unfortunately, the one that approached her wasn’t just anyone and it took only one word for Terra to freeze. “Terra.” She quickly spun around and eyes grew wide for a second as she realized who and in what situation she was being seen. And then, she let her hands fall into her face and tried to get him away - to make her distance herself from everyone. “Leave me alone! Just go!” His surprise fell into a solemn look at the sight in front of him and he approached her again and moved one of her hands away from her face. “Stop crying!” But she slapped his hand away, face contorted into a mix of anger and despair. “No! Don’t come closer! Don’t you get it? I don’t want to see you anymore!” she shouted but his look in his eyes told her that he wouldn’t move from his spot and she saw only one option. She reached into her bag and pulled out a small plastic jar and pointed it at him. “Don’t you see what you did to me!? Ever since you came, I can’t think, can’t smile - I can’t even sleep anymore without seeing your face in my head! I just want to live a normal life and you won’t let me!” Beast Boy didn’t like what he saw. “Why didn’t you tell me? Let me help-” “Maybe I should not live at all,” came her voice now and she opened the lid before the changeling saw with alarm that she poured almost the entire box out on her palm. “No!” he cried, hitting the pills out of her hand before taking her wrists and staring into her eyes. “I…I’m sorry!” the girl replied, balling her hands to fists before lowering her head. “I’m sorry for what I’ve done to you. I should’ve listened to you and not to Slade but I was so stupid! Stupid, stupid, stupid!” she screamed at herself. “No, you’re not-” “I am! But instead of telling you the truth…I just lie into your face! But I didn’t know what to do! I still don’t. I’m not a hero. I’m just a traitor and a threat to you and everyone else. Please let me go so I don’t hurt anyone! Please,” she sobbed, hunching even more as if begging for her life and it tore at his heart to see her broken like this. “Look at me!” he said but she didn’t respond as kept saying a mantra to herself. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.” “Terra!” he shouted and the girl flinched before slowly looking up at him before he gave her a sincere smile. She didn’t say anything as she fought the tears back - to stay strong. “I’m always here for you.” That sentence was like a hammer to her head - it hurt. But the words themselves didn’t and Terra struggled with her emotional turmoil. But she lost that battle and let herself fall into his arms, the tears falling even more. Yet, it wasn’t that bad - she also felt warm. Maybe even warm enough to be happy again.

Sanctuary (BBTerra)
Terra shut her eyes as she rested comfortably on the pillow, unaware of how her teammate was feeling of being this close to her. But the silence to her question worried her a little and she opened her eyes, glancing away with slightly reddened cheeks. “Uh…I mean if you think the pillow fort’s not comfy enough, we could just get out now. I mean, Starfire’s probably not gonna come back,” the girl said in a low voice, hoping secretly that he didn’t hear her disappointment. And apparently he didn’t seem to have heard. “W-what? I mean…uh…well…I know Starfire’s not here but I…uh…kinda don’t want to break down our fort yet,” he stammered and the girl looked at him in confusion before something caught her eyes. And it both, surprised and confused her. Was Beast Boy…blushing? “Oh,” was the first thing she said and she wanted to scold herself for sounding so silly. What was ‘oh’ supposed to mean anyways? Did it sound like she didn’t care if he wanted to stay longer? Or that she thought he might want to wait until Starfire showed up? Well, she could say for sure that she hadn’t expected this answer actually and she wasn’t quite sure what exactly he wanted to do. So she slowly sat up. “Then I guess we just gotta tell the others that we wanna keep it like-” “Wait,” he said before a hand came to take her forearm and the girl raised a confused brow. “What’s wrong?” she asked and saw the boy avoiding eye-contact with her. “I think…your idea wasn’t all that bad…actually. I mean…we took a lot of time building this thing…and I think it’d be a waste to just leave already. What are pillow forts made for?” he chuckled a little nervously before slowly dropping onto a pillow while gently pulling the girl back down as well. And Terra didn’t resist as her head found the small, soft pillow again as her gaze went to the little cracks in their fort, letting in tiny rays of light. Somehow, it looked beautiful and she wondered if she had ever made pillowforts as a small child. Her attention was now on her forearm, where she felt movement and she thought for a moment that her teammate had let go. But the hammering in her chest told her the opposite as he scooted a little closer to her and once again could she almost feel the heat radiating off his skin. “If it’s too small we could always-” she started before she felt heat rise to her face as his other arm snaked around her waist and pulled her closer so that now legs and arms were in direct contact with him. She shut her eyes, wondering if she was dreaming and that Starfire had either come back or had never left. “Didn’t you…want to stay?” he asked in a low voice and the girl opened her eyes and saw him look at her warmly. It was surprising to see how fast he overcame his nervousness and she wondered if he was just a figment of her dream. But he was real and Terra felt it as he rested his forehead against hers and the girl lowered her glance. “Yeah…” she murmured before legs also entangled themselves in her body and the girl curled up slightly to give him better comfort and realized that she also felt great comfort in this position. Lips pressed lightly against her forehead and the girl shut her eyes once again as a contented sigh escaped her lips. The pillow fort might have made her feel comfortable and even warm. But as the small rays of light continued to shine at their intertwined forms, Terra realized that Beast Boy was better than a cozy pillow fort - he was her sanctuary.

Overprotection (BBTerra Halloween fic)
It was dark on the outskirts of Jump City. The sun had already set and all that was left were the bright stars in the pitch black sky. But sleep was nowhere in sight, especially not in the small apartment of two former Titans. “Are you sure about this?” a woman’s voice asked. The green male sat across from her, eyes serious but he also had a small smile forming on his face. “Come on! This is not the first time.” “I know it’s not but he is our son. Aren’t you worried about him? What if…his powers go out of control - just like mine did,” the blonde-haired woman said in a lower voice. Beast Boy knew why she was worried and he would lie if he said he hadn’t wondered about what would happen if their son awakened Terra’s powers. But he also had faith in her…just as he has in him. Besides, he couldn’t keep him locked up in the house forever! “No need to worry, Terra. Remember how you saved us all? You had control. And I bet he has just as much,” he encouraged her, placing his hand on her shoulder. “Okay, okay. But…what about Slade?” she asked, voice tense and even Beast Boys smile vanished at his name. He has been gone ever since the Brotherhood incident and it was like he was still everywhere. Beast Boy let out a sigh. “It’s okay. I won’t let Slade get his dirty fingers on him if he shows up. Trust me!” There was a long moment of silence, neither of them noticing the figure that had eavesdropped on them. “Who’s Slade?” the lightly greenish skinned boy thought to himself. Mark never liked his parents’ overprotective nature over him, especially from his Mum. At first he thought it was because of his skin and he thought he was sick…but when he heard this now…he was honestly speechless. He never knew about his mum’s powers not obeying her…or this Slade guy either. Why was this guy such a mystery? Well, he wouldn’t wait while everyone was having fun on Halloween! He turned away from the door and exited the house in excitement, leaving in regular clothes as he looked actually monstrous enough without a costume. Hearing the door slam, Terra jerked up. “Mark! Where are you?” she asked and stood up and exited the room. Beast Boy followed her before she turned to him. “Can we just stay with him for a few minutes? Just to make sure he’s safe?” she asked, her voice laced with worry and the changeling quickly gave in. “Alright. But if he sees us, we’ll be in trouble.” She chuckled. “Haven’t you heard of camouflage?” she asked and went to the room before she came back with two masks - one witch masks and one Frankenstein. “I don’t really need one,” Beast Boy mumbled, looking at the mask. “Not if you want Mark to sneak out of his room next week to go crime fighting himself.” With that, they went out of their house, trailing behind their son without making it obvious by knocking on doors occasionally and holding out paper bags that were gradually filling with candy.
“Hey, I guess we could be beating our son this Halloween for once,” the changeling grinned as they continued walking.
“You sure? You know he had a head start,” Terra smiled before looking in the direction where their boy was approaching another house. “And he’s increasing it. Hurry,” she said, pulling her husband on his arm. Mark was increasingly getting a bigger bag as he kept going from house to house before knocking on a rather old door of a house that looked like it had seen better days. He knocked on it, shifting the bag to his other hand. No answer. He tried it again and waited. Was nobody home? He looked over to the window but saw that no light was on so he turned around. And then he heard a click and saw the door slowly open. To his surprise, the hallway was lit. “Uh…trick or treat?” he asked but nobody answered him. Okay, that was a little creepy.
He took a step back before he heard the shuffling of feet from inside. Was someone inside after all? Maybe he was just looking where he had placed the candy, right?
Not wanting to back down now, Mark went inside. The hallway was narrow and he soon came up at a flight of stairs that led to the upper floor. Where could the guy be? Just then, he noticed the flickering of the lights and he decided to check the ground floor first. Meanwhile, Terra and Beast Boy reached the front porch of the house and Terra looked inside as she stepped in. “You sure it’s okay to go in just like that?” Beast Boy asked as he glanced around the house before Terra took his hand to stop him from backing out if he wanted to. “Mark went inside. I saw him going in so there is no going back! What if something happened to him?” she asked worried and seriously at the same time before suddenly, all the lights went out, leaving the hallways and rooms in darkness. “Can you help me, Beast Boy?” “Alright. I’ll take the lead,” he said before morphing into a cat, having better vision (at least with the dim light coming from the windows) and he started walking with Terra following.
Mark also noticed the lights going off and stopped as he inspected the living room. Could it be storming outside? So why couldnt he hear anything? Orcould it be that the guy was being robbed?
His assumption was proven correct as he heard the squeaking of floorboards behind him. He whipped around, fists ready to pouncebut nobody was behind him. Weird. He took a step back, taking a last look at the living room before he backed awayand heard a door closing. Where did that come from?
“Beast Boy!” Terra hissed at her husband as he had shut a door of a room he had been inspecting and smiled apologetically at her. “Sorry.” And then she heard the creaking of floorboardand they were coming from the end of that hallway. “Beast Boy? I know where Mark is.” “You don’t have to tell me twice,” he replied and both were making their way to the living room. And in the distance, they saw a figure exiting the living room. Probably the culprit.
But something was wrongthe door was moving and something began looming over that shadow.
A hand was extending towards Mark’s shoulder and upon contact, the boy turned around before crying out in fear and surprise as a mask faced him. Terra heard the scream and both rushed towards the sound before Terra saw the masked guy too. In the distance she saw that his mask was orange. “Slade!” she shouted. Her hands glowed yellow and she felt the ground shaking under her, ready to crush Slade.
“Terra! Wait!” Beast Boy called as he saw that the masked man stumbled over his feet.
But her powers didnt just stop yet until Mark tackled the man to the ground, causing the mask to fall off.
It wasn’t Slades mask and the man was a rather old man with a gray mustache.
The glow of Terra’s hands ceased before a picture that had been hanging on the wall fell down.
Mark frowned at the man before Beast Boy put a hand on his shoulder. “Don’t worry! He’s not going to hurt you.”
So this guy wasn’t Slade?
“Who are you?” he asked the man as he got to his feet.
“Just an old man wanting some peace and quiet and I thought scaring kids would help me get it.”
He was now glancing at his mother who looked at the picture that had fallen to the ground. Did her powers go out of control? Or did she not want to stop them? Mark approached his mother nervously. “Mom?”
He let out a cry of surprise as she hugged him tight.
“I’m glad you’re alright,” she mumbled.
“And I’m glad you’re alright too,” he thought.

Priceless (BBTERRA Halloween)
The sky was dark and there was nothing and no one that moved in Titans Tower. Yet, it didn’t mean that there was no danger. Because in the quiet, the hideous snickering of two monsters could be heard. It was the laughter of Beast Boy and Terra. It all came down to this moment. They had been planning this for several days now and it was all Beast Boy’s idea. Terra only added a few details to their carefully laid out plan. “You sure this is going to work? You know, we haven’t really had the time to…test it,” Terra whispered after her snickering died down. “Don’t sweat it, Terra. This prank’s fool-proof,” he reassured her before the sound of footsteps sounded through the hall. “Shh!” Both Titans stared at the entrance to the Ops room with anticipation. Tonight was their only chance at success! The door to the Ops room slid open and 4 Titans walked in, Cyborg sounding excited about something. “Now that the movie’s settled, let’s make some popcorn!” he declared but Starfire and Raven still didn’t quite agree on his choice of movie. “But when are we to watch my choice of the romance movie?” Starfire said with slight disappointment. “Trust me, Star! I don’t want to watch corny horror films either. Not when you have seen the real one,” Raven muttered and turned away before Robin held her back. “Don’t tell me you want to hide in your room? And besides, you don’t want to leave us to all the fun?” he said and Raven quirked a brow. “I don’t see how boring myself to death is considered fun.” “But Raven. Would you at least stay for the popping corn?” Starfire asked and Raven sighed. “Fine,” she sighed and turned to turn on the light. But nothing happened. “Did you mess with the electricity again, Cyborg?” Robin asked. “It’s called upgrading and no, I didn’t.” And as if he uttered a magic word, the lights flickered back on and Starfire beamed and pulled Robin towards the couch. “Just when I thought the night was starting to get interesting,” Raven commented before sitting on the ground next to the couch and opened her book she carried with her. Cyborg was currently taking out one of those instant popcorn bags and opened the microwave to put it in. But as his hand went in, he felt something else already inside - something soft. “Don’t tell me Beast Boy put his tofu in the microwave. That stuff will mess up the microwave,” he commented before the light flickered again briefly while he was taking out whatever it was that was in the fridge. His human eye widened before he cried out in shock as he held a hand in his hand and immediately dropped it. His metallic hand was stained with a red liquid and he took a step back before bumping into Raven. “There…was a hand…” he started but Raven interrupted. “It’s made of plastic.” “But the blood-” “Edible syrup,” she said, testing some of it to be sure. It was. “Beast Boy. If he’s behind this I’m gonna-” “Shall we finally watch the movie?” Starfire interrupted and Raven put the instant popcorn in the microwave and after 2 minutes, it was ready and they all sat on the couch and watched as Robin put in the DVD. But for the first few seconds, the screen was black. Beast Boy had switched out the DVD yesterday with something a little different. “Maybe the movie is broken?” Starfire asked. “That can’t be. I’ve bought it just last week and haven’t watched it once,” Cyborg said. Just then, the screen showed something - it showed them, sitting on the couch exactly like now and watching the TV. “What? Is that us?” Robin asked confused. “Could it be that…someone is messing with the mainframe computer?” Cyborg checked his system…but nothing seemed to be wrong. “Uh…nothing’s wrong and there is nobody by the mainframe computer.” “Then how can we be on the screen?” And as all eyes went back to the screen, all of a sudden a small girl appeared on the black screed, dressed in a white gown and screamed in a shrill tone, causing Starfire to jump (as well as Robin) and to cling onto the leader. Cyborg also screamed before he quickly turned off the TV. Raven gave him a look before she noticed snickering from the room. “Who’s there?” she called and the sounds stopped abruptly and Raven floated towards the direction she thought the sound came from. She came up behind the counter of the kitchen and saw Terra hiding in the corner. “What are you doing here? Where is Beast Boy?” she asked annoyed. “Huh? I thought he called me to come watch a movie with you guys. But he said I should surprise you and wait until the movie started and pop out from behind here.” “What?” she asked, not believing her story before turning back to the others before seeing that suddenly the speakers were cracking to live and a strange static noise was coming from it. “What’s going on, Terra?” She shrugged her shoulders. “I could go check on him in his room.” “No, Terra. I-” But she dashed away faster than the wind and Raven sighed. And suddenly, Terra’s scream rang through the whole Tower and everyone dashed towards the sound. But something wasn’t right - there was…something red coming from beneath Beast Boy’s door. Could it be…blood? Raven almost felt sick but she carried on until the doors opened and Terra was lying on the ground, pointing towards Beast Boy’s bed that was stained and ripped. “Terra…” she started as everyone closed in around the bed to see what had happened to their friend. And suddenly a monkey’s screech echoed through the room that made even Raven flinch in surprise. “You should’ve seen the look on your faces! That was priceless!” the changeling laughed and Terra was laughing on the floor…unaware of the death glares both were receiving. Suddenly, they were startled by the loud bang of the door that had been slammed shut and briefly hugged each other out of fright before quickly letting go with flustered faces. As punishment, both were forced to stay in the Tower for a whole week and even waking up didn’t improve the changeling’s mood. What a bummer! He got out of bed to get breakfast when he saw Terra pacing around with some glass balls in her hands. “I thought that…you know, I could start planning for Christmas,” she smiled sheepishly. “This looks like more than just planning but need another 8 hands?” he asked, morphing into an octopus briefly and Terra laughed. “Sure,” she smiled but was held back for a moment. “Hey, I think I’ve got something,” he muttered and fumbled around in his pockets before pulling out a mistletoe and lifting it for Terra to see. And then he quickly kissed Terra on the lips. Well, the mistletoe was plastic actually and fake…but the kiss definitely wasn’t.

Unstable (BBTerra)
It hurt to forget. But it also hurt to remember. She knew what she had done was horrible and this was the reason why she had cut herself off from everyone – but somehow, she couldn’t cut herself off from him.
The image of the green-skinned changeling still remained in her mind – and it pained her each time she thought of him. Maybe it was because she had told him to forget about her and her last memory of him was a pained expression – the pain of having lost her.
But Terra tried hard to move on as she went from class to class but even after over a week, the pain was still deep. Her grades were not very high and even her friends had tried to cheer her up on a few occasions.
And she played along.
The girl let out a sigh as the teacher signaled the end of class. Finally, she could get away! The bell rang and Terra stood up, telling her friends that she’d meet up with them another day. Today, she was just not feeling it.
The girl walked through the hallways until she came up at her locker. Eyes widened when she saw a small necklace hung from it from the inside – it was a silver heart with a T inside it.
And all she saw was another reminder from her past – that she was Terra. And the image of the shape-shifter came to her mind once again, squeezing her heart.
In a fit of anger and sadness, the girl ripped the necklace from the locker and disposed of it in the closest trashcan.
With quick steps, she swung open the door of the school and hurried away. And just before the door closed, a small salamander slipped through the closed door, scurrying towards the girl’s locker.
But the necklace wasn’t there and the animal morphed into human. He looked left and right but the hallways were empty and he made his way back.
Did she take it? Beast Boy hoped so. It’s been a week he stopped himself from looking for her – too long for his taste. So he decided to leave her a small gift.
A flicker of hope spread through him at the prospect of her possibly remembering him. But the smile he wore vanished as soon as he noticed the same necklace in a trashcan he was passing. He stopped and stared into the trashcan, anger and sadness gripping him like the cold.
How could she do this to him? Why wouldn’t she even want to be his friend? Even if he had done something to anger her or she didn’t want to be a hero anymore, he was willing to start over with her.
His hands clenched to fists and a frown formed on his face.
Did she hate him?
His eyes rested on the T in the heart of the necklace and the word ‘traitor’ flashed in front of his eyes. He once again felt betrayed.
The ringing of his communicator woke him from his thoughts and he activated it.
“What?” he barked.
“I’m fine. Thanks for asking,” Raven remarked sarcastically. “Where are you? We got trouble with Brother Blood.”
“I’m busy,” he replied as his eyes rested on the necklace.
“We need you, Beast Boy. What you’re doing can wait,” Robin said as he appeared on the screen. “He’s at Chang’s lab. Meet us there in 15 minutes,” Robin ordered and the changeling made a face at him.
“Listen, we know you haven’t been feeling the best lately but that’s not an excuse to just act all high and mighty. Either you’re helping or you’ll get in trouble and nobody’s gonna help you,” Raven said. “I’m gonna contact you in 15 minutes and you better be there,” she warned and the screen turned black.
Great! More people telling him what to do and ignoring him!
With a heavy heart, he picked up the necklace, stuffed it in his belt pocket and left. He quickly reached his destination as a raven and morphed back into human in front of the lab.
But his team wasn’t here yet and he guessed he had around 5 minutes left. And he didn’t like to wait for them to come so he decided to check out the situation himself.
He opened the door to the rather unsuspecting building (which was something looking like a private company for shipments of some sort). The hallway he found himself in was somewhat dark and he morphed into a cat to have a better view. Soon, he came up at a bigger hall, lined with tables that had microscopes on them and he noticed on the table on the far side of the hall containing several jars with various liquids in them.
But where was Brother Blood? And as if answering his question, he heard footsteps behind him and he turned around only to get blasted towards the table with the jars on them, shattering them and spilling the contents to the floor.
Talk about a lucky shot!
“Cheating…as always,” the changeling groaned and got back to his feet to see the villain, pointing a red beam at him.
“I’m surprised to see you here. Where are the others? I’ve been anticipating meeting Cyborg again,” he smiled and the smile made the changeling only angrier.
“You have to get through me first if you want to have a piece of Cyborg,” he retorted before morphing into a bull, letting out a snort before charging head on.
“That will be child’s play,” the villain laughed before holding out one of his hands. And with particular ease, he managed to stop the bull from charging as he relentlessly pushed against him. “My turn now,” he said quite proudly before pointing the palm of his other hand towards him and a red laser shot him once again against the table.
The bull morphed back and the changeling slowly got up from between broken glass and wood, his glare fixed at the mechanized Brother Blood.
He could wait for Cyborg to show up. Beast Boy wasn’t done with him yet!
He charged again and Brother Blood prepared to shoot at him again but the changeling turned to a field mouse, zigzagging his way out of the laser beams and once he got close, morphed into a mosquito and flying behind him.
That got Brother Blood confused for a moment and Beast Boy decided to strike now.
He morphed into a gorilla and swung his large hands against him, knocking him towards the wall. But he wasn’t done yet and approached him, lifting him up.
And to his surprise, he got knocked back with a yet stronger laser.
“Is that all you have to offer? Don’t make me laugh,” the changeling heard the madman’s laughter and heard his approaching footsteps.
Then, he’d do something else.
Wrapping one of his hands around a small jar that seemed to be intact, he quickly hurled it at him. The glass shattered releasing the remaining blue liquid on him and he staggered back as his mechanical parts began sizzling.
“W-what have you done?” he roared and prepared to attack him but Beast Boy was already prepared and flung himself as a wolf at him,
He got his hand between his jaws and prepared to crush the metallic hand but Brother Blood wasn’t done yet.
And just as his team had arrived at the scene, the villain shot a large beam form the hand that was between the wolf’s jaws, catapulting the wolf back with a pained whimper.
“Beast Boy! Don’t let him attack!” Robin shouted to his team but something wasn’t right.
Brother Blood seemed not to have complete control of his mechanical body anymore since he not only shot at the Titans but also at the ceiling and walls, making the building unstable.
This made it harder for the others to restrain him.
“He’s out of control! We can’t get even close to him,” Cyborg shouted and they looked to Robin for instructions on what to do.
But before they could say anything, Beast Boy flew into the air as a dove before landing on him as a panther, once again keeping one hand in his jaws.
Unfortunately, that caused a constant beam to be shot at the ceiling and pieces of it were already falling down.
But Beast Boy didn’t care unless he didn’t destroy his suit (or maybe even break his arm) and he wouldn’t let go.
“Raven! Get Beast Boy off him before he’ll make the whole building collapse!” Robin shouted before ordering the others to get out.
And in a flash, the panther was surrounded in dark magic and no amount of struggling helped him escape before he was flung to the ground.
“What was that for? I almost got him!” Beast Boy retorted once he morphed back and Raven looked at him in annoyance and slight disappointment.
“And you also made us all get buried under cement. Now get out before that really happens,” she said and covered Brother Blood in a dark ball, paralyzing him momentarily until they all got out of the building.
Once they were all outside, Cyborg aimed his canon at him (having filled it with some water while they were outside) before shooting at him, successfully shutting him down.
“Finally we are victorious!” Starfire exclaimed relieved before Robin turned to Beast Boy.
“Yeah. But we told you to wait in front of the building. Why did you just fight him on your own?” he asked sternly and the changeling frowned.
“You didn’t show up when I came so I thought I could just check out what he was up to,” he replied and the leader gave him a disapproving look.
“All you had to do was just wait for two minutes. Then we didn’t have to deal with almost getting crushed.”
“I tried to help you! It wasn’t my fault he just kept shooting around himself like crazy!” the changeling retorted and crossed his arms (although that wasn’t entirely true as it was probably the chemicals doing that to him).
“But by you trying to stop him, you almost made the whole ceiling collapse!” the Titan leader retorted a little heatedly and Beast Boy turned away from him, anger and guilt fighting a battle inside him.
“I…I was just trying to help. How should’ve I known something like this was gonna happen?” he muttered and his hands clenched to fists.
“I know. But I think it’s better that you listen to what you’re being told, Beast Boy,” Robin said before Raven placed a hand on his shoulder to signal him to give Beast Boy a little space.
“I…think I need a little moment. I’ll join you guys later,” the changeling muttered and Robin thought for a moment before agreeing to his request.
Relief flooded the changeling before he walked away. He wasn’t sure where he wanted to go but he kept walking through the streets anyways. He hadn’t felt the best lately and maybe a little fresh air could get him back in shape.
The sun was high in the sky and the weather was hot with a cool breeze blowing through the air.
Deciding to enjoy this nice breeze, the changeling took off into the air and the feeling of the wind between his feathers was something he enjoyed every time.
And as he flew over the city, he came across a familiar diner and he flew down, morphing back into human – it was Ben’s. The memories that came with that sign were painful…but the changeling entered the diner anyways, just so he could sink back into those memories again.
It was all he had left of her anyways.
He sat by the counter and ordered a cherry juice because he was in no mood for anything else. His gaze went to the mirror behind the counter and at first all he saw was his tired looking face (with slight burn marks on one side of his face but they’d probably fade away by tomorrow or so).
But as his gaze shifted away from his face, he saw a very familiar figure sitting in one of the booths in the back – a girl with blonde hair.
And his gaze remained on her.
Meanwhile, the girl didn’t really register much as she idly twirled the spoon inside her chocolate milkshake. She hadn’t touched her drink yet as her thoughts were somewhere else.
They were back to the time where she wasn’t alone here – the night before her life spiraled downwards. That night had been the only one where she, for a moment, forgot about anything that had hurt her – that night she was…free and happy.
She could still hear her own laughter, see her own smile. When was the last time she had laughed? She couldn’t remember.
Her fingers gripped the spoon tighter and she tried to forget those bittersweet memories. She had to let go…no matter how hard it was for her.
But like her grip on the spoon, she found herself almost clinging to her memories – to her old life.
She was brought back from her trance as she noticed a shadow over her and she turned…to see the changeling standing beside her. Her gaze hardened immediately as the memories only became more vivid and painful. “What do you want?” she asked, her voice indifferent.
How he hated that tone she addressed him with!
But he put on a smile anyways. “Hey, uh, I didn’t want to bother you or something. But I think you forgot something. Is this yours?” he asked and pulled out the necklace from his belt pocket.
Her eyes widened for a split-second before she almost spat her answer. “No.” Where did he find that? Did he follow her around in school?
“Oh. Uh, I thought it was yours. Sorry if I bothered you,” he chuckled a little, putting the necklace back and saw her waiting for him to leave.
He would…but not before he didn’t get the answer to his next question.
“You come here often?”
“No. Now if you’d excuse me, Beast Boy,” she said, trying to make him leave. She didn’t want to be bothered with more reminders.
And for some strange reason, she saw his brows furrow as he shot her a disapproving glance.
So Terra dared to say his name but act like she didn’t know him at all?
The frown vanished and he grinned at her. “Hope it’s not getting too boring. You know, sitting here all alone and stuff. I thought your two friends would be here,” he said and he noticed how her gaze went to the table.
Terra felt guilt spread in her. She didn’t even trust Amber and Dionne that much. Sometimes, she’d just decline hanging out with them because she feared that they’d get too close to her.
She didn’t want to lose them either.
“They…were too busy,” she blurted out and the changeling decided to try something to make her come out of her shell a bit more.
“Do you want some company?” he asked, smiling at her and for a moment, Terra glanced at him.
Would it be ok to say yes? Of course not! She wanted to…but she couldn’t.
The hand on the table turned to a fist. “I’m fine. I don’t need company,” she replied but the changeling knew she was lying. Everything spoke for a big, fat lie!
And he felt his own hand turn to fists. But he held himself back. He could never hurt her!
“Cool! I mean…if you ever want to hang out or something…you can uh call me or something?” he said sheepishly.
“I don’t need to call you,” she replied and the changeling felt annoyed with her negative attitude. But he noticed that she was hesitant, thinking her answer over and he decided to make it easier for her (or more like for himself).
“How about we hang out one day? I mean just for once. And…if you don’t like it…you know, I won’t bother you again,” he said slowly, his gaze on her untouched drink.
And that’s where Terra was torn – she neither wanted to get him into her life again, yet, knew she couldn’t stand pushing him out of her life for good.
It had pained her once to crush his happy expression and even until today she felt sick with guilt. She couldn’t do this again – for once…she wanted to see that sunny smile again.
“I…guess one day is fine. But not too late into the night. I really need to get home before midnight at the latest,” she answered slowly and she felt her heart skip a beat, seeing that usual bright smile she had missed.
Yeah, right! She was again lying! She never had a real home! Her only home was in the Tower – with him!
But again, nothing betrayed his thoughts as he gave her a thumbs-up. “Great! So how about today at 7?” he asked and he felt elevated as Terra didn’t object.
He felt more confident and stepped a little closer to her booth. “So mind if I keep you company until you finish your drink?” he chuckled as he pointed at the empty space next to her.
“Yes,” she replied and his laughter died abruptly and suddenly, the cheery atmosphere died. “S-sorry,” she stammered but the changeling held up a hand to silence her.
“No, I get it,” he said quietly. You still think I’m annoying. You still think running is the best option you have. “You want to have some space. And maybe prepare or something, right? I totally get that. Don’t worry. See ya here at 7 then,” he smiled before he walked out of the store, leaving his drink on the counter.
And Terra, feeling guilty and hurt once again, tried hard to stop the tear that wanted to escape her.
The changeling soon arrived at the tower and all he wanted to do was prepare for the evening which was in just a few hours. So he quickly hurried through the hallways when he bumped into Starfire.
“Oh. Apologies, Beast Boy. I did not see where I was going,” she apologized and the changeling waved a hand at her.
“No worries. I guess I’m a pretty short guy,” he chuckled and Starfire smiled at him.
“It seems something good has happened to you. You normally do not smile at your short statue when someone does the pointing it out,” she remarked and he scoffed.
“I’m short. So what? I can still turn into giant dinos. No big deal,” he grinned. Yes, normally he’d be angry at being short. But since he can morph into things not even Cyborg could surpass (or beat), he didn’t let it get to him. He moved past her. “I gotta take care of something. See ya later,” he told her before reaching the door of his room.
That’s when Robin came up behind him.
“How’re you feeling?” he asked and the other furrowed his brows at him.
“Huh? What do you mean? I’m good.”
The leader looked him up and down for a moment and the changeling raised a confused brow. Why was he being inspected like he was an experiment?
“What’s wrong?” the changeling asked.
“Nothing. I guess you needed some alone time,” he smiled and the changeling smiled back.
Yeah, that…and Terra’s approval.
“But…if there’s ever anything bothering you, you can come talking to us, you know?” Robin said slowly and the changeling looked in surprise at him before slowly, the smile returned.
“Sure. But I’m good. Really,” he said and the leader gave a nod at him. “I just gotta take care of something. But thanks for letting me know,” he said before he took a step closer to his room, making the doors swish open.
Robin watched him go inside before the doors closed and he slowly turned away. Hopefully, it was as he said. But he didn’t get very far since he met Raven on his way to his own room.
“What did he say?”
“Beast Boy. He said he was fine and he really seemed to be fine too.”
Raven’s gaze went to the hallway. “I hope he wasn’t just dismissing you. He had been on an emotional roller-coaster for the past days. I just hope it’s over. It…doesn’t do him good,” Raven said before Robin put a hand on her shoulder.
“I think he’s fine, Raven.”
Raven hoped so.
The time seemed to drag on and even after taking a shower and trying to put himself in best shape, the changeling still had some time left until he had to set off. So he decided to play a little on the Gamestation.
And he surprised himself, seeing him fight through endless enemies with particular ease and even beat Cyborg’s high score! Could this day get any better?
He played some more until he his alarm rang, signaling him to leave. He quickly shut it off before rushing out of his room when he met Robin again.
“Where are you off to?” he asked with a surprised smile and the changeling scratched the back of his head.
“Uh…just wanting to hang out at the new game center today,” he lied and Robin thought for a moment.
“But what if something’s up? I mean, you need to be available.”
And the changeling rolled his eyes, having heard this line so many times now, it was beginning to get annoying. “Yeah, yeah. I’ve got it right here,” he said, showing him his communicator.
“And try to answer when we call you,” he added, making the changeling remember the last time he had met Terra – the girl that didn’t want to see him anymore.
“I know. I’ll pick it up when I get a call,” he said a bit irritated before rushing past his leader…and Robin was wondering if Beast Boy really felt as good as he seemed just a few seconds ago.
It didn’t take him long until he came up at Ben’s and he quickly walked inside. But Terra wasn’t there and he checked the time – he still had 5 minutes left until 7.
So he sat by the counter and waited for her. He decided not to order anything while he waited so he could leave some space for when Terra arrived.
But it seemed that he didn’t need to leave any space since even after 5 minutes, Terra didn’t seem to show up. Where was she? Was she stuck in traffic or something?
The changeling began to worry. Was she maybe in trouble? He glanced to the clock every minute or so and even after 10 minutes, she didn’t show up.
What was taking her so long?
And suddenly, he remembered her guilty expression and her unwillingness to even talk to him during their conversation earlier today. The anger was slowly manifesting in him.
Did she ditch him?
He didn’t want to admit it but it seemed not unlikely. It really seemed that she didn’t want to see him anymore. But at the same time, he couldn’t just believe that!
She had seemed so happy around him before – what had he done to make her hate him this much?
He couldn’t find the answer and he felt the anger only increasing in him and his hands clenched to fists. What did he do wrong?
He was too absorbed in his own thoughts that he didn’t notice said girl slowly enter the diner.
And Terra stopped in her tracks, seeing the scowl and tense posture he held as he sat by the counter.
She had long decided whether or not to meet up with him once he left but ultimately, decided to meet up with him. She didn’t want cause him more heartache…and maybe this was a chance for her to tell him a proper goodbye.
She wanted to cut herself off from him – at least for some time.
But as she laid her eyes on his angered expression, she was beginning to second-guess her decision. What had happened to him? He seemed to be…not entirely himself today – like he was a changed person.
Slowly, she approached him. “Beast Boy?” she muttered slowly and it was as if he just woke up from a trance.
“Huh? Oh, hey, Terra,” he blurted out and the girl glanced away for a moment.
“Stop calling me that!” she told him in a low voice and his expression was one of disapproval. Why should he? Wasn’t that her name?
“Oh. Yeah. Sorry,” he chuckled before Terra sat on a stool next to him. And the cheery tone vanished with his next statement. “You’re late.”
“I was stuck in traffic,” she muttered, not liking the disappointed, (almost commanding) tone in his voice.
He didn’t comment on her statement and tried to put back some cheer in the atmosphere. “So…want to drink something first?” he asked with a grin. “It’s on me.”
“No. I’m not thirsty,” she muttered as she glanced at herself in the mirror. Was it her that caused him to be so…confused – angry? And just like at her first date, all she saw in the mirror was a liar again.
It made her sick!
She was snapped out of her thoughts as she felt a gloved hand on her.
“You okay?” he asked a little concerned and Terra glanced at him a little confused. “You look much prettier with a smile on your face. I’ll promise we’ll have fun,” he smiled warmly at her and squeezed her hand to reassure her.
Maybe…she was thinking too much into him? Maybe she wasn’t the reason he was so off.
She glanced back at him. “I guess you’re right. I’m just…” she began before realizing that he still hadn’t removed his hand and it was getting a bit awkward. “…not sure. I’m just not sure you should spend time with someone like me.”
“I wouldn’t want to spend time with anyone else,” she heard him say and she felt the slightest amount of heat rush to her cheeks. Did…he still love her?
And then, the grip on her hand increased and she felt the pain from his almost vice-like grip and she tried to move her hand away.
He let her and Terra glanced at him in confusion.
“Trust me,” he smiled.
And once again, Terra didn’t know if she should.
For @cyanwings  A very belated (Happy Birthday) gift! :D

Haunted Prey (Chapter 1)
Her world was a mix of blurred lines, hazy colors, and pain as she woke up from unconsciousness. Where was she? What happened? All she remembered was hearing his voice.
‘It’s too late to run away, Terra,’ he had said before she was knocked down…and in a few seconds…her world had gone dark.
Slowly, she got up from the bed, her arms shaky and weak - that’s when she felt something fly off from her bed before it flew in circles around the room - a bat. Where did it come from? And why was it so dark in here?
Terra dragged herself slowly out of the room, pulling the door open and coming to a set of stairs. They were creaking under her weight and she found herself in a large hall with a large chandelier hanging from the ceiling. But the whole house looked like nobody had lived here for some time now. Even the windows were nailed shut.
But there were candles - many candles were lit, providing some sort of light. But if nobody lived here, who lit them?
She felt too dizzy to think too much and continued walking until she came up at the large entrance door but as she tried to open it, she saw it didn’t budge and even slamming against it didn’t help. She was locked in!
Terra turned around. The key must be in here somewhere! And she began looking when she saw two mirrors lined on the opposite walls of the hall - and she saw herself.
But her skin was pale - so pale, that she thought she was a ghost! Did she eat something wrong in school? No, it couldn’t be. Maybe-
Her train of thought stopped as she saw something on her neck - what was that? It felt wet and a little sticky.
Her hand went up to that spot - it was indeed wet and when she removed her hand…she saw blood!
A nervous laughter escaped her. This looked like a horror movie! Like she was bitten by a vampire. Nonsense!
Flapping of wings startled her and she spun around and breathed a sigh of relief - it was only the bat.
She turned back to search for the key…when she felt apprehensive. Could it have been this bat? “Vampires don’t exist,” she told herself, feeling relieved.
“You taste like how you smell. Sweet.”
Those words made her freeze on the spot. This was…his voice!
Slowly, she turned around, praying that it had been her imagination. But what she saw proved otherwise. The figure was indeed Beast Boy!
“Beast…Boy!?” she said slowly, trying to make sense of the situation.
But it didn’t! He didn’t! The red eyes and grey skin didn’t! Him being here and having said those words didn’t! Nothing did!
“What happened?” she asked, meaning everything that was going on.
“You just crashed at my place. No big deal,” he grinned as he approached and Terra took a step back.
“I want…to go home,” she growled, trying to force the dizziness back.
“You don’t have a home, Terra,” he laughed. “You never had one.”
“I’m not Terra. And I want to leave,” she shouted now before placing a hand on her forehead from exhaustion. Why was she so tired?
“Leave? Come on! The night is still young. Why don’t we have some fun?” he asked and Terra couldn’t hear any more and lashed out with her fist but he caught it with ease. “Is that how you treat me after all that hospitality? Rude!”
Terra growled and lashed out with her other fist but he simply gave her a light shove and she tripped, once again seeing her world spin - faster and faster like she was on a roller-coaster ride. “Let…me, uh, out,” she demanded weakly, finding her footing eventually.
But before she could charge again, he was already by her side, one arm around her waist, the other on her cheek.
“Make me!” he challenged back before she saw him lower his face from the corner of her eye. And the piercing pain set in almost immediately.
“No…” she cried but finding moving too tiring. She just wanted to…sleep. Sleep…forever.
But a voice in the back of her mind shouted: NO!
With that thought, her eyes glowed yellow and a piece of the ground knocked him off her before she collapsed.
Get up…get…up…
She got on her knees and then on shaky legs before she felt a gloved hand on her chin. No…
“Is it still…never too late, Terra?” he asked and Terra took a deep breath, dizziness getting the better of her.
“I don’t want…to…die…”
She heard him chuckling amused before the hand moved to the back of her neck. She was too weak to stop it.
“You’re not going to die. I’m not losing you again, Terra. But…I’ll make you suffer. Just like you made me suffer,” he said, leaning close to her.
Did she deserve this maybe? Maybe this was for all she had done to him?
Her head was moved back, eyes now at the glass ceiling before she felt that pricking pain again, punishing her for all her lies and pain she had inflicted.
And she submitted to the pain, shutting her eyes.
At least, now she wouldn’t lose him anymore. Now they were together.

For the ones who don’t know, I used Nega!BB for this (though I’ve written this from before and if anyone would like, i might write a vampire fic with regular BB). I’m thinking of adding more chapters to this. ;)
