From now on, these nights will be changed in ways we never imagined, forever.

Let me share a bit: 

One Direction is an “icon” for many of us who learned English as a second language, myself included. I discovered them when my English was still intermediate, starting with “What Makes You Beautiful”—though I first heard it in a cover video. After that, I got hooked on their playlist, diving into songs like “You and I,” “Live While We’re Young,” “One Thing,” and “Perfect.” Their cheerful melodies, stunning vocals, and thought-provoking lyrics made learning English a more enjoyable experience. It became an incredible journey, making the language feel easier and more accessible. I’ll never forget the moment I stumbled upon a group of my seniors jamming in a circle, catchy tunes blasting from an amplifier. I tried to memorize the melody just to look up the song later, which turned out to be One Direction’s “Kiss Me.”

In short, One Direction represents an indescribable kind of love I’ve held onto for so long, even as time passes and I grow.

I was shocked when I came across the recent news about the band. Scrolling through Threads yesterday on my way to work, I saw a post from Zedd, followed by media reports and fans discussing the situation.

By the way, farewell and thank you, Liam. You are irreplaceable.
