~ Kalos AU Masterpost ~
Hi, hi. So I realized since I had deleted all of my content from my other blogs, I should probably explain this AU as coherently as possible (with what storyline info / lore I have so far). I'll try to keep it in the best order possible.
(Also, keep in mind this is a very Emmet-centric AU, so he is the main focus!)
v I'll be presenting and reposting a lot of art here to explain story events below the cut. v
(CWs: Implied suicide attempt, self harm, slight gore)
This AU was inspired shortly after the ZA trailer was released.
Emmet is eeby-deebied into Kalos, where he gains amnesia very similarly to another familiar train man in a different timeline.
He is sent into Kalos's past, where he is forced to adjust to a new life with unfamiliar technology and absolutely no signal. Using a phone is practically useless.
However, fortunately, he is able to take advantage of the development of trains -- though they are not as advanced as modernized trains, he rents and rebuilds a train station into what he calls the "Mega Evolution Express". In this process, he builds an entirely new team of Pokemon and uses mega Aerodactyl in place of what was formerly Archeops.
This ends up successful and he is able to distract his mind temporarily with the fun of battles; however, something very important to him is still missing. His heart stings. He gains memories slowly but surely, remembering a man who was very important to him once.
And still is.
As he ages, practically alone in Kalos, so does his heartache. He is unsure of why he feels such a romantic longing towards someone who was likely his brother. He knows that is his brother, but his crushing, undying love for him is overwhelming and lowkey obsessive.
The anxiety and depression begin to spiral so quickly over the years (10, in fact!) that he gets to a point where he needs to take leave off his job. He isolates at home, distracting himself with whatever he can -- wine, drawings, writing, etc., sometimes even compulsive battling.
The obsession with his brother becomes so intense and hopeless that he eventually... . . .
.... is found by his wormhole-hopping brother at a REALLY REALLY REALLY BAD TIME!!
This [redacted] incident was traumatizing for the both of them -- but all that matters in the end is that Emmet made it out alive.
This, however, is not the end of obsessive love.
It takes Emmet a while to recover from this and regain his consciousness, mobility and awareness due to... various injuries to his vein and brain.
However, the first night he is sent home, he goes back to his old habits. But this time he is greeted by...
.... His brother! But, like, consciously this time! He knows who he is!
Everything is fine for a while. They've reunited and are able to snuggle each other to their hearts' content. When Emmet recovers enough, he is eager to show Ingo the new train station he rebuilt into a battle subway.
However, after a few weeks of processing time, the obsessive love returns, and Emmet finds his anxiety returning -- to a much more extreme degree than before.
The anxiety is obsessive, uncontrollable and often crippling. He begins to hold onto Ingo's arm while they're in public, ensuring he will not disappear or run off somewhere.
It's expected for Emmet to have post trauma -- and Ingo was determined to help him overcome it together. However, even a year later, these episodes seemed to worsen...
Even during teenagehood, Ingo had noticed episodes like these -- but not this severely.
Perhaps the predicament he found Emmet in is to blame... Maybe it's his age.
Whatever the case may be, it was clear to Ingo that these spirals of anxiety were becoming so detrimental to daily life that it was consuming both of them. Emmet would loom over his bedside to make sure he was alive, would continuously cling to him in public, wait for him at rest areas with his leg bouncing, etc..
Emmet was never relaxed. He'd even lash out at strangers for getting too close to his brother. He is not usually an aggressive person, but he's continuously afraid. Afraid that he is going to lose someone close to him again.
And it was, and still is, unfortunately a huge obstacle they have faced since starting their new life in Kalos.
Even since marriage, Emmet's possessiveness has been a matter that, unfortunately, cannot be cured with modern medicine.
--
EXTRA PHOTOS OF THE BOI:
I apologize if this is all sloppily written or incomprehensible in some spots. The goal of the post was basically just to have the AU comprehended in a palatable manner since I will be posting about it a lot.
Also, fun fact!!
HE IS 45 AND HAS BACK PAIN. :) Lots of the pre-mature pains can be quite severe, and his mental health is partially to blame!

Suggestive Blankshipping Emmet under the cut

Day 10, September 25: Silence
It's a little late but here it is. I'm super stressed from work so I'm not going to get around to cleaning it up. In case people can't tell, he's holding a ball gag lol

I first read this over on AO3 and I'm so glad you posted here so I could reblog it, it was absolutely adorable and I loved reading it!
My contribution for today's theme of Blanktember! "Whispers"!
In this blurb I'll be utilizing my "Two Blanks AU", so for a brief bit of context, it's a world where a good portion of the population have animal features. Ingo is houndlike and Emmet is birdlike. When they were younger, Ingo had been arrested and taken to a "kennel" because he snapped at someone trying to defend Emmet from them. After fifteen years and after gathering enough money to bail him out, Emmet does his best to help Ingo readjust to a society that's still on the fence about trusting Ingo isn't actually "feral".
Hope you enjoy! I did!
Whispers
~ ~ ~
Ingo hadn’t said a word. Not once he was free of the kennel or once he finally set foot through the front door of their house. Their house; Emmet announced it every time it came up. Because it was theirs. Ingo belonged. He was safe here.
Emmet told himself it was okay, that he could wait. He let Ingo be included in everything, let him follow him around the house doing chores and on errands, let him sit quietly beside him on the couch watching TV or playing video games. And he’d talk to him. Casually, like nothing had ever changed, like nothing was ever wrong. And he was happy. He'd waited this long, so just being near him was enough.
He wanted to hear his voice (dragons, it had been far too long), but he could wait. He’d waited fifteen years, so he told himself that he could wait fifteen more. And it was true.
It was because of the muzzle, he thought decidedly. The fifteen years of torture that came from barking back.
Emmet, of course, knew (more or less) what to expect. He hadn’t pushed, prodded, or begged for anything of him in the time since he'd come home, but a creeping prickliness in the back of his mind made him wonder if all his talking was only making it harder for his brother to join in. But then their eyes would cross unexpectedly and Emmet would get lost in a mirrored curiousness.
Am I really here? Are you really here?
Emmet would smile wide without having to say a single word; an answer to the question he'd never tire of giving.
In those eyes that were more silver than grey, Emmet felt reassured. Ingo was looking at him. Ingo knew him. Ingo missed him. Ingo had been through more of hell than he would ever see, and didn’t wish for anything more than being by his side now that he was there again.
Emmet subtly slowed his carrot-chopping to glance to his left where his other half was currently making his way through peeling his second potato. Carefully, carefully, carefully, Ingo worked the little blade under the peel and Emmet laughed at the coiling single ribbon he made. His smile faltered, however, when he glimpsed the old bruises around his wrists and neck.
He would heal, he told himself decidedly. Because it was true.
“Thank you very much for your help, Ingo! Dinner will be even better because of you!” Emmet said cheerily, ears wide open, the short feathers on his back prickling as he glanced further down at his brother’s stoic silver-grey tail.
It took a minute. He counted each second. Then Ingo hummed. A low, coarse sound of agreement.
Emmet beamed and his heart soared in his chest. Progress! He immediately let his sense of accomplishment— not his, but Ingo’s— go to his head and make itself at home. He responded with a jaunty laugh of a hum of his own.
He was a broken tap of chatter after that. The weather was wonderful again today, wasn’t it? Even though it looked like rain, he enjoyed that too. Elesa said she was going to visit the day after tomorrow, so they could make something together again then too! She was looking forward to seeing him again, and Ingo was too, right?
Emmet finally stopped, waited, and listened. For good measure, he turned to watch Ingo’s expression. Any height Emmet’s heart gained was lost almost immediately.
Ingo had completely stopped. The potato was just barely finished being peeled, the ribbon had broken and his hands shook even though they were resting on the countertop in the tiny nest the peel had created.
“Ingo?” Emmet asked. Carefully, carefully, carefully... Had he not been careful enough?
Ingo sniffled and his eyes began to shimmer with tears.
“Ingo!” Emmet cried, reaching out before stopping himself. Or, rather, before being stopped by Ingo suddenly, harshly turning away, shoulders squared defensively. Emmet decided to finish what he started by crossing the distance and touched his shoulder. Gently, gently, gently... "Did you hurt yourself? What's wrong? It'll be alright; here, let me see!" Was it something he did? Something he said?
Ingo shook his head and wiped furiously at his eyes.
“Ah—! Use this, here!” Emmet said, taking the peeling knife from his brother’s trembling hand and replacing it with a tissue. Ingo took it with reluctance at first before he seemed to think he had to be grateful and nodded in thanks, hiding his face with it. Emmet leaned into his vision when he leaned away again. He didn’t have to dodge him— he never had to dodge him.
Ingo’s mouth was moving but only a jumble of half-broken self-conscious sounds came out. Emmet tossed and turned under his own skin for what to do, but before he could blink his hand— which still held one of Ingo’s, as fate would have it— was taken and used to pull him solidly against his chest. Ingo’s face was buried into his shoulder and Emmet didn’t have to think about hugging him back.
All of Ingo was shaking as he wept. And then he shoved words out.
“For—Forgive me, Emmet...” They were barely above a whisper.
Emmet’s heart stumbled over itself and he discovered he, too, had begun to cry.
“What?” he asked, flabbergasted. His smile was painful but forcefully reassuring, even though Ingo couldn’t see it. “What? What is it? It feels more like I should be apologizing!” Emmet couldn’t help but laugh in exasperation. And maybe a bit of desperation too.
Ingo shook his head, still clutching him like a lifeline. “All this time, I only—” A harsh sob split his sentence— and Emmet’s heart— in two. “I thought of you, to make sure my world was real... but I... Elesa...”
Emmet furrowed in deep concentration, fiddling with each piece of information until it clicked.
“You... forgot about Elesa, in the...?” Emmet didn’t say it. He’d never let such a foul place enter their lives ever again.
Ingo nodded before falling into another round of pleas for forgiveness and guilt.
Emmet’s dearest brother and Elesa’s closest childhood friend had been ripped away from them when he came to their defense and gotten locked up and declared “feral” for it, only allowed to go out if there was a muzzle strapped to his face. But, contrary to how it had been for the two of them where Ingo had constantly been on their minds, at least Emmet's, only one of them had stuck with Ingo.
It was the least fair thing that ever could have happened to all of them, but worse still that the first words he heard from him in fifteen years were an apology. Emmet felt the guilt and sorrow pounding down on him with each new droplet he felt on his shoulder as well as a fierce, protective anger rising in his chest.
Slowly, carefully, gently, Emmet pet Ingo’s back and shushed his fears. “Neither of us expected anything more than you, Ingo,” he said definitively. “You are not to blame. You never had to think of either of us, and you still have both of us! And you’re home again! So don’t be sad! Elesa won’t be mad either! I promise!” Emmet’s voice threatened to buckle under the weight of his own teary emotions— each assurance cementing the feeling behind them in stone.
Ingo was home. Ingo was here. Ingo was safe, and missed, and loved, and Elesa would be Ela-ted to see him. He told Ingo himself, and he was always right when it came to things like this.
Ingo half-barked a laugh. Then he inclined his head and whispered so close to Emmet’s ear he could feel his lips move when he spoke. Softly. So softly only Emmet’s soul could hear. Every rugged sound that fell past Ingo's lips made his heart pound like the summer storm brewing in the distance.
Emmet loosed a laugh and nuzzled his face fiercely against his brother’s crooks and notches like he was a patch of his own feathers. An old, familiar, comfortable gesture that roused another string of chuckles from Ingo. Emmet reveled in his accomplishment and let themselves linger.
Then, a little unlike himself, Emmet whispered back. "I love you too, Ingo."
In the dusk sun that gave every surface of the room a hazy orange glow, Ingo’s eyes— which were now locked once again with his own— turned from silver to gold. Tears still streaked his face but Ingo was smiling so warmly Emmet had to fluff out his feathers to soak it all in.
Then, feeling too much for a whisper to contain and half-blind from the brightness of his whole world gazing back at him:
"I love you too, Ingo!"

And here we are, the final two days of Blanktember!
Day 29 - Hisui
Yet another AU that I've talked a bit about before on this blog. Hisui Omegaverse AU, where both twins get yeeted back to Hisui but are separated and both suffer from memory loss. Ingo gets taken in by the Pearl Clan and becomes Lady Sneasler's warden and Emmet gets taken in by the Diamond Clan and becomes Lord Zoroark's warden. But they're still Bonded and the two clans just have to deal with it. They live together because you shouldn't separate an alpha and omega
Day 30- Reunion
They just deserve to be happy together after everything okay 😩
And thus concludes Blanktember halfway into October oop- it was fun though!

Blanktember Daily Prompt - Day 8: Whispers
Unlike rumors, these aren't usually meant to be overheard (although they can be). Whether for good or bad, today's prompt is Whispers.
Is one whispering to the other because they're afraid of being overheard? Or is it because it's only important for the one person to hear it? No matter what the boys are whispering or who it's to, there's a lot to play with!
In case you need a reminder, here’s a post about what this event is all about: Blanktember (In short, it’s a Blankshipping month!)
For today, create a piece following the prompt 'Lullabys'

Blanktember Daily Prompt - Day 7: Lullabys
Whether from a loved one, a friend, or something overheard while travelling, a lot can be done with the prompt Lullabys.
Do the boys have a special song that they sing to each other when one is upset? Maybe it's one they got from a parent they no longer remember or maybe it's one they sing to the other becasue it tells their feelings better than they can. Either way, there's a lot to play around with!
In case you need a reminder, here’s a post about what this event is all about: Blanktember (In short, it’s a Blankshipping month!)
