Casa Mița Biciclista: A Festive Jewel in the Heart of Bucharest

The Mița Biciclista House, located in Piața Amzei, Bucharest, is an iconic building known for its remarkable architecture and spectacular Christmas decorations.

During the holiday season, the house’s façade is adorned with lights and festive ornaments, attracting numerous visitors and becoming one of the most photographed spots in the capital.

This year, the decorations were designed by Lithuanian artist Mantas Petruškevičius, transforming the building into a true “gift box” for the city. The decor features glowing spheres, tall Christmas trees, reindeer, and imposing chandeliers, creating a magical atmosphere.

For the first time in over a century, the house is fully open to the public. On the ground floor, a newly opened brasserie serves French-inspired dishes. On the first floor, Christmas balls and festive dinners are held, while the second floor and attic host an exhibition about Romania’s recent past titled “The Country We Come From: The First 35 Years.”

Mița Biciclista House is not just a restored architectural landmark but also a symbol of Bucharest’s cultural revival, providing the community with a meeting space and a place to celebrate during the holiday season.
