New Members (noobs) 📝
Hello, this is my first post and I have to say, it’s an improvement from no posts at all, but I’d like to start my blog off with an issue that seems to bother everyone, bar the offenders.
Noobs.
Now don’t get me wrong! Noobs are fine, I mean, we were all noobs once, right? And I think the term “noob” is rather derogatory, they are human beings like us, no one is more “special” or “elite” than anyone else, seeing it’s just a game.
But back to the topic. Here is a conversation with someone who has just joined the game (wow I didn’t say noob!). Yes, it’s an actual conversation. DONT DO THIS!:
Jasinta: Hi, Noob_12! Are you still selling April Side Table?
Noob_12: Yeah I am.
Jasinta: Hm?
Noob_12: What does hm mean?
Jasinta: How much?
Noob_12: 5000 bubbles.
Jasinta: Sorry you can’t trade bubbles /:
Noob_12: Okay 6000 gold.
Jasinta: It’s not worth that much, like it’s probably only worth 20g, you can get it in daily rewards XD
Noob_12: Stop bullying me I’m reporting you !
Jasinta: I’m sorry, what?
Noob_12: Hi Jasinta! Are you still selling Angel Wings?
Jasinta: Um, yes.
Noob_12: You hurt my feelings so give it to me for free.
Jasinta: I’m sorry, no.
Noob_12: I’m blocking you!
Jasinta: Okay then…
Noob_12: Well?
Noob_12: I’ve blocked you!
Jasinta: No you haven’t, um, I can still message you…
Noob_12: No I blocked you, leave me alone, stop making me try to unblock you!
Now, if that seems stereotypical, it’s not, it’s just real, because this is nearly the exact same conversation I had with someone who had just joined (I changed the name for privacy purposes). It’s okay for new members to ask to buy something off you, but it’s another to disrespect that person. Here is another example:
Karatekid666: Hey! I am new and have just joined the game, and I’m feeling a little nervous, because I really want to make new friends and fit in! Seeing as I just joined, I was wondering if there was anything that you don’t need that you could possibly donate to me? It’s okay if you can’t, but it would make me feel so much better, and I can make friends. Thankyou ❤️🌈☺️
I hate this with a passion. When they ask if they can have YOUR stuff, that you earned and worked hard for, just like that. When I was hacked and made a new account, I worked my ass off to get everything I had back, without asking anybody for stuff. Anyways, that was just a little rant.
Finally, here is a note for anybody who has just joined and just happens to be looking at my blog. Here are a few tips about how to make everybody like you in Highrise, and never have any enemies:
1. Don’t ask for free stuff. Please, just don’t.
2. Don’t go around in rooms saying you’re “horny” and asking for snaps and role play. Honestly, it’s a little disgusting. Actually, it’s utterly rank.
3. Talk to people in a nice way, not about gold or items or anything. Do that, and I swear people will treat you like a saint.
4. Finally, join a good crew and make a considerably good impact. Crews are the starts of lots of friendships. I suggest giving it a try.
Well that’s it for me, I don’t know if anyone will read this, it’s more of a little vent for my emotions. If you read all the way down to the bottom, good on you! I couldn’t be bothered to do it myself.
