Just endure.
I feel like I’ve wasted 10 months of my life, planning, and money, all for a business that ‘might’ pop up at some point. I’ve wasted so much time on an attorney and a ‘landlord’ who don’t return phone calls, texts, or emails.
Starting a business sucks.
It really, sucks.
“If it was easy, everyone would do it”.
Of course I’ve heard this a million times, but no one prepares you - not even business school, for the amount of trials, tribulations, and stress you endure when trying to start your own business.
The amount of money that goes into it, is asinine. But if you’re passionate like me, then you will continue to push forward and do everything you can to reach your final goal; your dream. Even if that means losing friends. Not everyone will understand your stress, and not everyone will care.
I can’t express how important it is to have those friends and those family members close to you - the ones that support you.
One step at a time. Deep breath.

What is it about a candle-lit bath with some chill tunes that literally makes everything better? Okay, maybe not everything, but I have found that as I get older it’s the single best way for my ADHD-driven brain to relax; second to poppin’ those xans.
For those who don’t understand the ADHD brain, I highly encourage you to read up. It’s not just an overly-hyper, can’t-pay-attention type disorder. It’s an every day struggle for those who have it. It’s having 67 internet browsers up at once, not knowing how to exit out of them. It’s processing information so fast your impulsive answer inadvertently comes with a negative response. It’s being moody every day because your brain doesn’t know how to deal with the overwhelming thoughts.
But you know what’s awesome about this disorder? I can multi-task like a mother. I can think on the spot and be slick when that guy at the bar subsequently asks for my number (sorry, dude). I can remember odd things like birthdates and names. Time management? You better believe I’ll be there 10 minutes early.
Having ADHD has absolutely been the key factor for my success in starting my business. ADHD has allowed me to have complete tunnel vision, because the beauty of the disorder is really tuning in on the things that interest you - in this case, my business.
I’m so excited to see what my future holds and the relationships I build to better my network.
Cheers to all you stressed out, overwhelmed, anxiety-driven entrepreneurs that keep on grindin’ 👊🏼

Dear technology, I hate you.
There is nothing that will piss me off more than when I’m trying to have a discussion with you and you choose something to distract yourself (i.e. an iPad, phone, TV, etc). To make me feel insignificant because your distraction-of-choice is more important will only cause a high level of resentment and damage the relationship I have with you, if there is one.
People really need to consider how their indirect or subconscious ways really affect other people.

But first, breathe.
First post. Yeah!
Hello internet👋🏼
Let’s just jump right into this thing. First off, let me just say how sucky being an adult really is. Scratch that. Nope. Not being negative right now, skrrrrrt.
Had my first major roadblock today. Turns out starting a business is nothing short of riding a rollercoaster without a seatbelt. You will get thrown out unexpectedly! But I will press onward and continue to pursue my dream.
