The one's Princess Margaret love

Let me introduce you to Princess Margaret from Isekai Shoukan Wa Nidome Desu! I hate how the anime treated her. They made her seem like an idiot who wants to start a war just because, without thinking about the consequences, when she's the complete opposite. She's a proud princess who wants the best for her kingdom (which is in shambles!). She'll do everything she can to improve the situation, even if it means starting a new war. She fought one of the demon kingdom's generals in person to defend her kingdom. She lost, but damn, I love her for it.In the manga, they imply these things, but they haven't gone into much more detail yet, but I hope they do.Oh, and yes, she's in love with Touma. According to Setsu in the novel, she was always after Touma. (Um, at that time, the princess seems to have been around 13 or 14, because now she looks like she's 19 or 20.) Touma and the princess were canonically good friends. (We all know Touma was in love with someone else, but that doesn't stop him from loving the princess as a friend.)

The background is a wall of Destinia Castle from the first chapter, because I'm not yet skilled enough to draw backgrounds.

Precure Izuku!

This is an idea I've had for a long time. Izuku as Sora's predecessor! AKA Cure Sky! In The Sludge Villain, when he wanted to rescue Katsuki, the Mirage Pen appeared before him, seeing him as worthy of being the next and first Precure of the Generation in 200 years! Will Izuku accept? You'll find out in the next post!

OKAY SO-

First of all I wanna say that I love everything about your comic so far. The story has amazing pacing and the writing of the characters is on point (at least what I would consider to be) and fun, the panel layout of the pages is interesting and easy to read and compliments the flow of everything, and the art- ffs the ARRRRTTTT

I love it a lot and I have a couple questions (if you don't mind answering- you don't have to)

so I was curious what program you use and what kinda brushes, cus like the inking is so solid and like crisp (I can't put the mafia hand emoji)- but your sketches have a soft brush that loooks like it might be a lower opacity maybeee-

Also, specifically when it comes to your rendering, when it comes to lighting and non-solid-black shadows do you use a lower opacity layer or just paint it with a selected colour? IT'S JUST CUS THE WAYYYY Your colours come out they work so well together, and like as an artist that has a vague idea of what makes something look good I struggle with shading and lighting a lot. And the way you colour just makes everything come together so well and realistically?

The program I use is Photoshop, which I don't recommend, and the brush I use when inking is usually "Amazing Cartoon Nib" from Kyle T Webster's Megapack!

The sketches that I've posted, if these are the sorta sketches you're referring to, are actually not digital at all! I use a Pentel Twist-Erase mechanical pencil in a Strathmore 5.5 x 8.5 recycled sketchbook, and then scan those sketches from my phone using the Scanner Mini app in Black And White mode!

If you mean sketches like these though, that's also a Kyle's Megapack brush! "Animator Pencil 2016"!

My color situation is crazy, I'll just, uh, show you what I mean with my phone camera (since I super duper don't know how to take a screenshot on a PC):

For the shadows I use a gradient map (green to red) on top of a 90% dark grey + greyscale "Rendering" layer, in which I carve out the shadows and lighter areas. Then I put a flats layer with a 45% dark grey layer mask over that. The lighter a scene is, the brighter I can make that flats layer. So yeah, that part's kinda a low opacity?

The lighting layer is pretty self-explanatory. Instead of ever lowering the opacity on anything with the slider, I use layer masks as a way to mess around with how strong I want that lighting to be without ever making anything super destructive and permanent. I highly recommend the use of gradient maps and layer masks when making comics!

Also, if you're wondering about that Flats Copy 2 layer above "Flats Copy," that's actually just what I do to color characters that are at certain distances. Blue for background, green for mid-ground, purple for foreground. 70% grey layer mask for that one.

GIF made for the month of June! I consider Setsu to be some kind of asexual and Touma is canonically gay in the light novel (isn't he amazing?!). It's basic, but I'm proud to have decided to do more animations this year (I never had until recently). Drawing classes at a university were a real challenge. The shape of the faces is different. I like it, but it still needs polishing, and it shows. Let's improve for next time!

In this drawing, I got pretty symbolic. XD I thought about letting you interpret it yourselves, but I couldn't help myself. XDThis represents how Setsu is blind to his true situation in Eclair World and to his own friends (including Yuuhi), while Touma decides to take responsibility for trying to get Setsu to open his eyes. As a result, he ends up suffocating from the desperation that no matter what he does, Setsu won't listen to him, but he still wants to stay by his side.Likewise, Setsu refuses to let go of Touma even though he doesn't believe his words or the sins Touma has committed. He knows what Touma did is wrong, but he doesn't care, and he won't punish him while he's still alive. At the same time, he doesn't realize that not letting Touma receive the proper penance is the ultimate punishment. (I took the phrase "punishment is a consolation" very seriously.)Pretty toxic as always. How I love these two.Check out the manga! Watch the novel! The anime doesn't exist! You'll love these two.

Demon Setsu and Angel Touma (Hazbin Hotel AU)

Touma and Setsu died. But Touma redeemed himself for his actions in life, while Setsu refused to acknowledge his sin (killing Touma out of anger), so he went to Hell.

And Touma has two pairs of wings because he's someone who was very close to ilumination in life. (He found and trained a literal god, when that was supposed to be impossible for an average human. Fight me.)

My Cure Waffle!

Introducing a Cure Waffle! Or Rio in Precure form from KiraKira Precure! This character was supposed to be a Precure instead of Ciel, but they canceled it because they thought it wasn't time for a man to be a Precure, and now the fandom is demanding to meet him, haha.

We only have a rough sketch of what his design was going to be. I based my design on that, but also on two others. The background is the character sheet they used to create the purified Rio design and other characters.

My Cure Waffle made his debut in my Precure fanfic (Precure All Star: Rainbow Cried, Chapter 35) so I obviously drew it to celebrate and also to show it off.

I like to think of my Waffle's hair as similar to Whip's, with the rounded tips and it looking anything but hair. I hope you liked it!

Why the hell did the elite want a perfect world?

I'd like to know why do all the world's elites have to be the ones who want to change the world? I mean, if I were an elite, instead of wanting to change the world, I'd just want to do everything possible to keep it that way. I have the money, luxuries, and resources I desire. Do I have problems with the government? It doesn't matter, just change the people in positions. Am I tired of working? Let's put thousands of people to do it for us! In Evangelion and Code Geass (technically, the latter is only an elite), they didn't want to make the world perfect, just a giant hive mind, and they would be the gods. Now, in Miraculous, it hasn't been stated exactly if wishes have any rules, but there is a price. If someone wishes to be a god, what would the price be? I highly doubt it would be the death of another god, because, man, if a wish from the Kwamis (minor gods, I'm sure) kills the gods, then I definitely wouldn't call that being a god, just something that appears to be one. Losing your entire family, fortune, or existence doesn't sound enough. Hell, your memory, maybe. What about losing the whole world and not being able to get it back, so you create another one, but it'll never be the one you want. Or maybe they try to get around the price by having someone else ask for it? Let's assume that someone actually does it and doesn't ask for one for themselves. Again, I doubt that would prevent them from receiving the price, the punishment. So, um... what the hell is a perfect world for elites?

The spring I saw her in the manga I thought Gaia had red hair, but it turns out it was green (taken from the novel). But I don't really like how she looks in green, so I gave her both. Since it is canonical that some characters' hair color changes with the use of specific powers. (Ex: Dysastre, The Demon Queen).
