I made a GoFundMe because frankly, mine and Iliana’s situation is a little bleak here.

After a handful of years of unsuccessful first-time serious job hunting in the third worst city in America for 2014, no money to my name, and a chance at getting a better life with my friend, I’m trying to raise money to move to Pennsylvania.

Both of us come from less than opportunistic backgrounds, and are likely going to have to fund this all on our own with little to no help from family other than a “good luck.” It’s pretty bleak, considering I can’t save up myself and my bank account has had a balance of $4.85 in it for months now.

The $3,000 goal is not endgame. It’s an estimate of how much it would cost for train fare, food, hotel stays, and eventual apartment living (including furnishing the apartment and groceries), at least until one or both of us are able to find a job in PA.

That’s the bulk of what needs to be read, but really, this is a terrible situation for me to be in. I can’t manage to find a job because I have no documented work experience that isn’t at least three years old and isn’t from working at school where it doesn’t count as having a job.

This is my bank account, if anyone wanted proof on that. I have less than $5 and I closed my savings account since there wasn’t anything in there and I actually got charged $5 a month for having under $300 in it (I used to have $14.85 haha oh well)

A lot of talk between us have been about WHAT state to move to, because California is poor in economy and we wouldn’t be able to survive without help here. She lives with her mom and I with my grandparents but besides a roof over our heads that neither of us actually get any financial help.

Moving from California to Pennsylvania is expensive if we wanted to take anything other than train, and even that is a nice chunk out of the goal of $3000 (at least $500 for both of us, if not more by the time we DO move).

The only good thing I can find out of all of this is Iliana has a job, even if it’s minimum wage, and she has some money saved up herself. It’s not enough for living longer than a month in PA with no support from me whatsoever, though.

GoFundMe is honestly the last thing I want to do because I feel bad taking money or items without any way to repay people, but I’m at the end of my rope trying to find other things. I’ve never been an artist, and I doubt people would want (fan)fiction commissions (though if you do please please PLEASE send me a message and I will happily throw myself down for service)

If you can’t donate I would really appreciate if you reblogged, just to get the word spread. Like I said I really don’t like taking money without compensation and I can write something for you if you want me to??? I don’t know. I’ll do what I can, at least.
