I have been working tirelessly on my @global_mars project. It's time to make decisions again. Some decisions need to be taken then and there while the other decisions require patience. One of the key things I learnt from this project and this process is "Patience" ☺

#Throwback to our college days! I remember being in college and talking about chasing our dreams and working hard to be successful. We were very hard working..... laz you are one of the most creative people I have ever met in my undergrad career. He's been there to hold my hand and pray when things get tough. Not only he is very talented but also a dear friend. This pic reminds me of all the fun and hard times we had in college. I know we haven't spoken in a while but I am sure you are working hard and chasing your dreams. Love and Light, Hiruni ❤ #makeitgravy @sonofasouthernchef

I have had amazing mentors in my life. I have got amazing guidance, support and training from them. I have had mentors who are very knowledgeable, kind and selfless, who have had positive impact not only in terms of my career but also in terms of life. On the other side of the coin, I have also had mentors who are very negative and sometimes even destructive. Being so early in my career, it took me a while to even understand that they are destructive. However, I am grateful to have met them because I learnt what I don't want to grow to be or what I don't want from my career. I also understood that it is important treat your inferior the same way you treat your superior. I understood that people deserve respect no matter where they are in their career. ☺

Sometimes we are scared to be ourselves but the moon is admired for simply being itself. Moon does not change for anybody. Don't worry and never think small. May we all have the courage to be ourselves and shine brightly in the night sky just like the moon. #planetaryscientist #empowerment

"Why fit into a glass slipper, when you can shatter the glass ceiling?" This is quote I came across recently. I have been told, if a girl get good education, have a successful career and become independent nobody would want to be friends with her or be with her. My question was "Why does she have to dumb her self down just so people can accept her?" Why not do what you do, people who care enough will stick around with you and appreciate you for who you are. Why not raise the bar so they can meet you there. I am not working hard to fit in to a glass slipper. I am working hard so I can reject rejection. #womaninstem #youngscientist #planetaryscientist

In my previous posts I have mentioned many times that I use social media lot for work. I believe it is a good tool to diffuse knowledge and make connections. However, what you see here is only 3% of my personal real life. Everything else is work related, something I have worked very hard for and created for my self. Not to kill mystique, but unlike a lot on social media, I am brutally honest about it. However, I try to add a little personal touch to it every now and then because it adds variety to my profile feed and makes it more interesting.
