Me when people tell me about how the person they like only want to be friends:

Ok so I’ve just had more of my allosexual friends coming to me recently with relationship issues sometimes specifically with asexuals in which they failed to understand the idea that you can love someone fiercely without any romantic or sexual feelings involved. This is so frustrating for me because I don’t even know how to teach somebody how to accept this love as valid and fulfilling. Which it is! And honestly, I can give no perspective other than that of being on the other side and having someone tell you that you are the problem, the one confusing them or playing games or not giving enough. Which is totally wrong! How do you tell people to stop being an ass and take responsibility for their own feelings and learn more about true love… without being an ass and not acknowledging their sexual and romantic needs? Is it even right for me to try to sympathize with the allosexual perspective? TBH I’ve been doing it my whole life and it really feels like it’s time for it to be the other way around.
